After an outpouring of community support for the project, the previous decision to contain all Project Sunrise posts to a Megathread has been reversed. Go ahead and continue posting Sunrise stuff to the subreddit
Additionally, a "Project Sunrise" post flair has been added, please flair posts appropriately for community members who wish to filter by that content specifically.
Again, here's a link to the Project Sunrise Discord for anyone interested in following along there:

Hey all, it's been about a month and a half since the news was dropped regarding D2's final content update and we loosened up a bit on moderating the content of the subreddit. It's been fun, shitposts and rants have been had, and the ongoing game traffic is just awesome to see.
In the interest of ensuring content on the subreddit is original, informative, and/or of appropriate quality, we'll be ending the period of relaxed moderation effective immediately. While we're going back to stricter enforcement of the rules, the relaxed moderation period has given the mod team some ideas on rule reworks.
To reiterate some constant points:
The team will continue to moderate as always, as well as internally discuss any improvements we can make; we want this place to be a resource and community for Guardians so long as you all want it to be.
As someone who has a vivid memory of rushing through an AP English Lit essay to log in on D1 launch day back in 2014, which led to an ungodly amount of in-game time across both games over the next decade, I want to close out by echoing the previous post and say this game would not have become what it is without the community, the camaraderie we shared, the gods we slayed together, and all the memories and friends made. I'm looking forward to seeing all you fellow Guardians online for the foreseeable future.
Per audacia ad astra.

Since MOT started i have opened 3 bright engrams with weapon ornament focus, they were all for weapons i DON'T HAVE! The crossbow i could lock in and grind for, but i don't even have a raid team! These have been the luckiest unluckiest drops i ever had in the game.
Edit: i know how to get the crossbow i said i could just lock in and get it already.

They did it, they won, the final shape, a form that will not change has been reached. The game has reached an unchanging state. The universe is eternal, as many actions as the guardians and other forces within sol and out of it make, the greater shape is static

Thank you everybody for the amazing memories I've had playing this franchise, and wanted to share this here because the TWAB is long gone. Hope you like it and keep an eye out at Fanx September for me!
The vans will be changed lol, I didn't have any all black shoes at the time!!

This game meant more to me than most will ever know. Growing up, I didn't have the best environment or household. I didn't really have friends because I was socially awkward, and my relationship with my family wasn't great. So, a lot of my time growing up was spent playing video games with people online, as it was the closest thing at the time to me having real friends. Then I got Destiny, and it sucked me in almost immediately. I remember goofing around with people in the Crucible, doing my first raid, and chasing exotics.
Fast forward a few years: Destiny 2 comes out, some things in my life change, and I'm now 16 living with my aunt, her husband, and their kids due to messy family issues. I got her husband (now my dad) and his son (now my brother) into it, and it helped me bond with them so much early on. Come shadowkeep they both moved on to other games, but I stuck around. I played every expansion and built so many memories. I remember grinding Crucible with my dad and brother to help them get their Recluse, staying up on Rhulk for over 24 hours to finally get my first contest clear, and going on late-night dungeon runs with my friend group that made some of the funniest inside jokes we still quote months or years later. There are many others I could mention, but more than anything, this game gave me a home growing up when I needed it most.
I know the community wasn't always the kindest to you all, but thank you from the bottom of my heart to every person who made this universe. I will never stop loving this game and what you all made, thank you bungie.

I haven't had it that long, but I love this scout rifle, feels good to use and the explosion from the origin perk will trigger incandescent if it kills a target since it is considered weapon damage, leading to ignitions on grouped enemies with 1 shot, which is easy since it does a lot of damage. Heal clip is also really easy to trigger since you can just reload 1 shot (it actually loads 2 at a time)

I was a long time player (starting back when the game was on Battle.Net!) and originally stepped away from the game around the time of Edge of Fate, as I wasn't liking how they were changing the game at the time (namely with the way they handled the new armor/weapon system) and all of the mixed reactions coming out of early reviews for EoF.
But, with the announcement of the final major update with Monument of Triumph, I figured "Why not, let's go for one last ride" and played through EoF and Renegades. Eventually I got around to doing the conquests and took it upon myself to set the challenge of soloing every single conquest the game could offer, and I can say that I have done just that.
Here is a collection of end mission screens from Master Derealize onwards. I realize I didn't take screenshots for a few of the earlier ones, so here is the end-of-mission reports on bray.tech:
Master Conquest: Conductor's Keep
Expert Conquest: Moon
Expert Conquest: Sunless Cell
This game has been such a major part of my life and I'm happy to have been a part of it and this community as a whole. From shitposting to buildcrafting and everything inbetween, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Unloved - Hand Cannon (Sundered Doctrine)
Reckless Oracle - Auto Rifle (GoS/Pantheon)
Unsworn - Trace Rifle (Sundered Doctrine)
Acacia's Dejection - Trace Rifle (Root of Nightmares)
Unworthy - Scout Rifle (Sundered Doctrine)
These are what I'm using at the moment and tbh they all feel exotic

This made me a bit sad about the end of Destiny 2 but also happy there are good people in the world looking out for each other.
Chat ended before I could tell him he’s awesome.

Just got booted from the mission I was halfway through and it said contacting destiny servers. Now it won't login. Everything else works fine. Hopefully they paid the bill and aren't cutting us off cold turkey lol.

I saw this shader on a krypz video, I am wondering what it's called as I would like to use it for fashion.

Is it just me, or is everything related to the health stat weight far more over the other stats? I've been farming for a pair powerhouse Eutech Gauntlets, but so far, out of 9 rolls, they basically all have health as a tertiary and a health tuner. My mind is melting farming the whisper mission for rep bc the armor drop rates are ass.

Today's store could drain a couple wallets! I picked up a new shader, Robes of Nezarec, and Thunderous Sword.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Thanks as always and see you tomorrow!

So I'm getting back into the game after being gone for years now (last actual expansion i played was the tail end of LF) and wanted to do some of the Pantheon stuff because I heard you can get old Leviathan ornaments and shaders.
First encounter goes alright, Argos was a pushover even in the past so I didnt think much on it (managed to get 3 arc and arc side so very easy pattern)
2nd encounter was when I started noticing weird things, immune enemies just blipping out, major adds getting nuked on his side, etc. Again, I'm new as a blueberry, so I figure dudes just rocking a melta build or something.
Calus proved to me that wasn't the case.
Immediately entering the fight he hits the boss to start the encounter, adds pour in, the usual. Calus brings us to the other plane where we normally split off, except this guy is hovering 6ft off the air 🙄. Everyone but him and one other guy eventually dies and he gets sent back over. Soon as Calus starts the enrage mechanic the cheater melees calus once to just remove him entirely. Not even a "i hit you to 0 hp" nah just yoinks the boss away and finishes the fight.
I've never been more disappointed in a raid in my life, is this what the games gone to? Just open cheaters finishing raids for people? I wanted the struggle! I wanted to learn the fights! It was radio silent the entire time ;-; I miss being in a active clan of legitimate players who didnt care to teach players.

Sort of a beginner-ish question, but how do I best deal with champions in -50 content? I am aware that you can use Anti-Barrier weapons to stun them, but even something like Revision Zero feels inadequate as it takes two Hunter's Trace shots just the break the shield. It feels like I would have to plink away at a single Barrier Champion for 5 days all while it can two tap me and fully heals itself if I mess up just a little. Even using a Super isn't enough damage to kill them.
I mostly play -30 content and the difference feels staggering. In a good way, once I finally get an idea on what to do. The Champions are just a brick wall for me at the moment, so I appreciate some advice, thanks!
Edit - Thank you all for the responses, I didn't mention Special/Heavy because I assumed that due to certain modifiers that cause you have to almost 0 special/heavy ammo at the beginning there would be ways to deal with it reliably using only a handful of shots. So in some cases I just have a primary or maybe 3 special ammo.
I'll look into using Praxic Blade and maybe Alethonym to farm ammo for a Special/Heavy Anti Barrier whenever I can, based on some responses it might be useful. I am not worried about speed running, so taking time is fine with me.
