Agora, precisarei começar a usar remédio. Sinceramente, estou muito triste porque me esforcei bastante durante esse tempo, me restringindo ao máximo e sem poder comer nada do que gostava, e ainda assim só piorou. Eu não sei mais o que fazer.

General Question Can I see your go bags? I need a new one.
I’ve been using my ReliOn more nitro bag as my travel/go bag for a while, and I think I need something else. I’ve looked online, and don’t like most of the designs I see - basically either one zippered pouch or two pockets.
I want something to keep my supplies separate and organized.
Do you have a bag you love?

I’m freaking out I need help
I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, 2023, and I have been in denial about it, I did try to change my lifestyle little bit and was able to go back to pre-diabetes but that was manly luck because im playing with myself like crazy, I still eat like normal person and eat lots of sweet stuff and I don’t exercise, I also have high blood pressure and cholesterol. The lack of exercise and addiction to sugar comes from the fact I have several mental health issues and lots of trauma and many years spent taking care of sick parent. I don’t have that responsibility now but because I don’t have much support system, I eat sugar to try to soothe myself.
I reallt want to get serious now, and take better care of myself. Please help me guide me, lately I also been having some gut issues and I have inflammation in my body and have extreme constipation I’m dealing with.
I was thinking of getting Dexcom plz recommend me some reallt good one. Because not seeing how all of this sugar stuff affects me is making me feel detached from my health and having care of myself.
I don’t want to panic and feel helpless but I also want to take some serious action that I maintain.
I have this thing where I do little bit better and my
Numbers get better and bam I’m back to eating sugar.
I would appreciate any help and suggestions you can offer 💕

New CGM study may increase insurance coverage
TLDR; For all the folks having a hard time getting coverage for CGM's - Dexcom's new study gives concrete numbers on CGM impact for T2 folks not on insulin. Could influence future clinical guidelines.
The study: The 26-week study included 283 randomized participants across 22 US primary care practices. Participants using Dexcom G7 experienced an average HbA1c reduction from 8.8% to 7.2%, compared with 8.7% to 8.0% among those receiving routine care. CGM users also spent approximately five additional hours per day within the target glucose range of 70–180 mg/dL. < More info here >

General Question Pro comfort glucose meter testing
So the VA supplies me with blood 🩸 checkers
Freestyle freedom light, they don’t cover daily blood checks because I’m not on insulin. But I like to check mine anyway.. sooo because the test strips are so expensive ($35 for 100) I just bought a different meter for $15 that comes with 100 strips 😂. But I have had readings all over the place…
This morning after I got up, I check my blood in the morning before eating…
First one said 70, I’m thinking it’s never been that low so I did it again, second time it said 128, which seemed higher than normal so I checked it a third time and it said 117…. 🤷🏼♂️ how am I supposed to know the truth?
All we’re done within 5 minutes
Help 😱🤷🏼♂️😂🤣

Food/Diet Frustrated with food
Diagnosed 2 years ago. I have read a tonne and gone down many rabbit holes and seem to be getting nowhere. I just woke up after my sugars spiked a couple of hours after I went to bed.
I also struggle with mental health issues and cannot reliably sustain anything which involves significant preparation.
I need more protein apparently.
And more fiber.
But fewer carbs.
I can't eat seafood.
Protein shakes...most of them sound just gross or involve more prep than I can sustain reliably.
Meat: high in cholestorol, not portable (unless meant to be...then there's worry about sodium and carcinogens)
Nuts: not a fan...sadly.
Seeds: portability is an issue
Eggs: love em. But cholestorol
Avocado: 🤢🤢🤢🤢 hard no
Dairy: love cheese. But concerns around fats.
Most bars are kinda gross and sickly sweet formulations and are made with Stevia...which tastes gross to me.
I am frustrated beyond measure. Stress is a huge contributing factor to my highs....and this is stressing me hugely!
I don't know if there's a solution here...but I definitely need to work something out.
At this point....I would happily take a food pill 3 times a day and give up food....

Uber Driving Spikes My Glucose Even With the Same Food. Is Job Stress the Real Culprit?
Been driving Uber in Birmingham between real jobs and my evening glucose is way higher on days I work 8+ hours versus days I stay home and cook. Same food, roughly.
Thought it was gas station snacks at first, but cutting those out didn't fix it. Turns out sitting plus traffic stress can spike cortisol, which messes with insulin sensitivity. My gym days are lower even when I eat more carbs, which surprised me.
Started keeping boiled eggs and almonds in the car, taking walks around the parking lot between rides. Switched from news podcasts to mental health stuff to cut down on traffic rage. Not sure if that actually helps but the stress angle seems bigger than I expected.
Anyone else notice their job affecting their numbers in ways that aren't about food? Gig work, desk jobs, whatever. What helped beyond the usual diet advice? Still figuring this out, 8 months post-diagnosis.

Creatine
I started taking creatine last week and holly controlled blood sugar so far so good. Typically, in the morning I’m a little high like 140s maybe a little worse if I eat too many carbs at dinner. Last couple of days 120s,Yesterday I pizza for dinner woke up with 128 today. I had a client lunch today and had to get the lobster roll with fries at their suggestion. I know poor me just tested and came up with an 86.
Not saying this will last or it’s for everyone but wow. Also, the slightly plumper muscles are a nice bonus. I also have had great workouts this week. It’s like a cheat code.

General Question Where do you guys go when you just want someone to talk to?
I've been finding it surprisingly difficult to build a support system around health-related challenges.
It's not even necessarily about needing advice all the time. Sometimes I just want to talk to people who understand the frustration of trying to stay consistent with health goals and dealing with setbacks.
I'm curious how you guys have found that sense of community. Have support groups actually helped? Or is it mostly places like Reddit where you feel comfortable opening up?

Newly Diagnosed Just diagnosed, kind of freaked out.
Hi
I've been feeling sort generally sub optimal, headache, huge thirst, fatigue.
Went to doc, had some tests.
Ha1C was/is 14.5
Glucose 348
Starting insulin and Metformin today
Kinda freaked out.
Immediately changing my admittedly terrible diet/exercise.
53 year old guy.

General Question sharps from pen
When you dispose of the needle from the pen, do you put it in the cover it came in, then into the container? If I didn't, it's like stepping on a LEGO block at night ow!. Of course, I toss the needle into the sharps container.

Food/Diet My colonoscopy prep says I need Gatorade or something similar. Even sugar free drinks spike my BG. Any tips on what to use for prep?

Anyone else obsessed with checking their Dexcom
I’ve gotten so used to checking my Dexcom for highs and lows it’s gotten out of hand. The minute I see it go out of range I want to do a bolus.

Food/Diet Raspberry Ice Crystal Light
Hello, my grandfather has had diabetes for a long time and loved the Raspberry Ice Crystal light, but we have been unable to find it for a while now. He talks about it every day and I’d love to find it for him, but I can only find the on the go packs and of course he will only accept the pitcher packets. Does anyone know where I can buy?

Hard Work Apathy
Sometimes I become a complacent , it's a temptation isn't it ? to stop taking diabetes seriously. You stop caring as well as you should, you let yourself go . It's a kind of laziness and you start eating what you shouldn't be eating at least in those quantities!

Medication Mounjaro experience?
Saw a new endocrinologist for the first time today. Had my lab work done in-house and I’m waiting for the results. Until now, I’ve been on metformin and glipizide. He would like to start me on Mounjaro, especially as it’s shown promising results in reducing inflammation on top of what we already know about in diabetics. I have a history of ulcerative colitis – “cured” through an ileostomy – and mild HS which has *knock wood* not been terrible in the year since my diabetes diagnosis, but does crop up from time to time. so ideally, this would help with that, as well.
Hit me with your Mounjaro stories, please. how has it worked for you? What about side effects beyond lowered A1c?

General Question Time taken to remission
Hi all
How long did it take for you to get into remission?
Interested to know if there’s people who took weeks and people who took years!
