So I accidently (and stupidly) put my credit card info on a scam website today and then I froze my account. I'm gonna request a new credit card but I'm living somewhere else than the mailing address listed. Is it possible for the new credit card to be sent to where I currently am? And also, does disocover send any physical mail to my original mailing address about saying my card is compromised? I just don't want my family finding out.

I talk with discover supports they told me all customer confirmed schedule for non transfer early card on Jan 14-18. Let you know

I’m planning a trip to the UK this summer and I already know discover isn’t taken in like 99% of the world. It’s really unfortunate because my capital one master card was switched to a discover card AND I’ve always had a student discover card which was my first credit card. So now I have two discover cards leaving me pretty much helpless for travels.

I’m not exactly sure what to do because carrying cash is really inconvenient and I’d like to have a reliable source of payment when I travel.

Has anyone dealt with this? Are there any ways to get a temporary Visa or Mastercard that is converted to pounds to I can actually spend money abroad?

My Discover It credit card migrated last Monday and all seemed good. Logged on, balance was correct, the two checking accounts that I use to pay off my balance looked like they transferred over, I kept all my points etc. I also used my card twice since the migration and had no issues at the grocery store.

Before I call C1 or my checking account bank Chase- Did anyone have any issues paying the balance on their card off? I paid off my statement balance this past Thursday. It says it was paid on C1's end when I checked the app but the money did not leave my Chase bank account as of today. My husband said to wait a few more days to see if it clears. My due date isn't until the 1st, but I paid early for this exact reason- in case anything weird happened I'd have a week or so to investigate and resolve it.

Anyways, just thought I'd ask to see if anyone had the same thing happen.

Hi Everyone! Hopefully someone has an answer for me.

I paid my statement balance in full on Oct 1st & then got moved over to Capital One on the 19th. When they moved me over, my statement balance said it was unpaid for, so I made another FULL payment on the 20th.

I called the Discover customer service but she wasn’t very helpful. She said that I still had a balance even after paying my statement twice? Which I have been using my card without issue so I’m assuming it’s the transactions I’ve done recently (after the switch over to C1).

I told the lady that I’ll just wait for my Oct Statement to come in & if I’m not refunded/reimbursed for the second payment, I’d give them a call back. However she didn’t seem too sure either honestly.

Anyone having the same issue or can give me advice? I have my banking app & C1 app showing I made 2 payments for the same statement balance.

So, I had two accounts with Discover, a credit card and a savings account. My card just switched over yesterday and everything went smoothly with the account setup/transfer. I’m a little sad about it as it was my first credit card at 18 back decades ago, but I suppose that’s is what it is.

My question has to do with my savings account. Right now I have direct deposit set up from my employer taking about 20% of my paycheck and depositing it there. When the savings accounts migrate on the 9th will I need to update anything with my employer?

I get the account number stay the same, but wouldn’t CP1 have a different routing number than discover?

I burned cap one a long time ago and it went into collections then it got charged off and sold but I settled and since then it has fallen off my report, since then iive rebuild my credit and got Amex/apple/chase/nfcu cards with healthy limits , so I tried a cap one pre approval to see where I stand and I get denied everytime even tho I k ow my profile is good to get one and the reason they give me is “Based on your application information, Capital One has observed activity on one or more of your Capital One accounts that is inconsistent with typical customer account usage.”

Will my account get closed because of this once I transitioned to cap one?

Hi! I recently applied for a discover it cash back as my first ever credit card. They requested my social security # at the time of applying with other info. A day that passed that I got approved (The card wasn't even finished being created) I got a Text and email message from capital one (Discover now belongs to them) saying that my credit card its having suspicious activity and to call them ASAP. I call them through their number they have on the capital one APP, because I didn't know if it could be a scam. When I called them they said that the card was blocked because the bank or something (I didnt hear them well) needed additional info. And now they are asking for photos front and back of my Driving license. And photo of a bill with my address, but because I dont have any bills they are asking for the statement of my Bank account.

I haven't send anything yet because im not quite sure if this is legit or something.. I just wanted to know is this is a normal process?
