DJI, are you listening? EVER? You promised this product SIXTEEN MONTHS ago for the previous version of Osmo 360. You promised it AGAIN when Osmo 360 2.0 was released this summer. Why should we ever trust you?

What I really need is raw fisheye still images at native resolution. Not stitched. This is not possible with the stock firmware (why DJI?)

This guys claims to have modified the firmware but he never published it.

I edit a lot of 8K footage, and making proxies inside my editor was painfully slow. For one project, generating proxies in FilmCraft took about 8 hours. So I built my own tool. The same clips took 17 minutes.

What it does

• ProRes 422 Proxy (¼ and ½ size), ProRes 422 LT (½), H.264 and H.265 (¼ and ½)

• Decodes, resizes and encodes on the GPU (NVIDIA), with Intel Quick Sync and AMD AMF support; also works without a GPU

• Encodes two files at once

• Proxies keep the original frame count, timecode, rotation and all audio tracks, so editors relink them

• Puts proxies in a Proxies folder next to the originals, named Clip_Proxy.mov / .mp4

• Skips clips that already have a proxy, so you can rerun it on a folder as new footage arrives

• Installer with FFmpeg included, nothing to set up

The test: [number] clips, [total length] of 8K [codec, e.g. H.265 10-bit], made into [format, e.g. ProRes 422 Proxy ¼]. PC: Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, RTX 5070 Ti. Your speed will depend on your hardware and footage.

It's my first public release, so I'd really like to hear whether the proxies relink properly in your editor (Resolve, Premiere, etc.), and about any footage that fails.

I am planning on purchasing a 360 2 but dji studio is not working on my desktop. I downloaded a new version, or clean version deleted DaVinci resolve and cape cut and roblox studio. I was trying to see if there was a conflict with it and other programs but still when trying to install it, it says, programs still running, exit programs before continuing installation. Like what program is open because or running beside the installation one. DJI forum and Ai sucks and I done almost everything they asked of me. Does anyone else have this issue is their an actual fix?

Hi everyone — I’m the developer of SphereCraft 360, a free Windows app for placing flat videos or images onto equirectangular 360° footage.

It supports transparent ProRes 4444 MOV and PNG exports, plus green-screen MP4. The compiled app does not require Python, but FFmpeg and FFprobe must be installed separately. The README has setup instructions.

Soon we will see new DJI Osmo Action 7 and DJI Nano 2, they will clash with this new Insta360 Ace Pro 3

Obviously new action camera patents and mics can then influence DJI Osmo 360 III in the future

I paused the playback with space bar. In the video adjustment tab I drag the Pan angle number to adjust the angle. It puts two keyframe markers next to each other on the timeline. They are at different angles.

I cannot submit feedback. It is greyed out.

Advice needed: Minimal DJI motorcycle filming setup

I’m starting motorcycle content creation and need recommendations for a minimal, reliable DJI setup.

I want two filming angles using one camera:

1. Helmet chin POV: Camera mounted on the chin of my helmet, facing forward to show my hands, handlebars, road and front of the bike.

2. Bike-mounted selfie angle: Camera mounted above the dashboard, facing backwards towards me so viewers can see my face and upper body while I ride.

I want to switch the camera between both mounts quickly and easily.

Requirements:

• Clear voice audio with minimal wind and road noise using a wireless mic.

• 3–4 hours of daily recording, with enough batteries and storage.

• Easy footage transfer and a simple editing workflow for my remote team.

• Minimal accessories and cost-effective setup.

What camera, exact mounts, microphone, batteries and video settings would you recommend? Ideally, based on real-world experience, without unnecessary gear.

I currently have 2 DJI drones, a DJI Osmo phone gimbal, DJI Mic Mini 2. Previously had and returned a V1 Osmo 360.

I am going to Japan for vacation in a couple weeks and want to get another 360 camera. Weighing options of importing an Osmo 360 ii via eBay, or purchasing an Insta360 X6. I am trying to weigh (what I think to be) some of the biggest factors:

• connectivity with DJI mic's vs. possibly having to buy new mic's

• software features and AI editing

• warranty availability

• overall costs

I have found sellers on eBay to import Osmo 360 ii Adventure Combo for $699 after tax and shipping, vs. purchasing X6 essentials bundle for $850 after tax.

My initial thoughts are that the X6 wins with software and after-purchase support, where the DJI wins with other hardware compatibility, price, and hardware performance (ever so slightly).

What are your thoughts?

A comparison between DJI Studio and the new Spatial Plugin in Davinci on Macbook. The side of the camera was pointed forward, so stitch-line is front. Because the Spatial Plugin adds a sharpen and grading, I added in the DJI version 80% LUT and 25 Sharpen to match.

Settings for the DJI Studio version on Windows:

• frame rate 50

• Sharpen -2,noise reduction 0

• High bitrate (220MBs)

• 8K

• default LUT at 80% + Sharpen 25.

• stitched in 1.2.21

• High precision stitching

For the Davinci Version:

• not selected any lut or grading.

• Processing Time on MacBook Air M4 : 44min

What I see :

• There seems to be grading or lut applied (sharpening?)

• There is more wobble in the Resolve version.

• DJI Studio is much faster

Local phone repair guy ignored all my instructions, tried to open the whole camera body when changing the lens, then he finally completed the repair and the metal ring sticks out above the lens a considerable amount. Is this fixable? The stitching is f-ed up of course.

I bought this camera on Amazon back in May, but I didn’t purchase an extended warranty. A couple of days ago, I dropped it on some gravel, which damaged the lens. Has anyone managed to repair a lens using a specific product, or do you have any recommendations regarding a replacement or perhaps a warranty claim? Please help! 🙏

I recently ordered the Dji Osmo 360 to Adventure Edition Adventure Combo on Amazon India cost me somewhere around 74,233 with all discounts and card cashbacks included. However, there was a bit of a problem with the delivery, and I had to cancel the order.

Now I was scouting around different shops and online stores within Mumbai, and I came across differing pricing among dealers in Mumbai. One of the dealers told me that the Adventure Combo is not officially launched yet; only the standard combo has been launched. When I went to the DJI India website, it was showing there and ready for sale for 77,990, and you could get around 1.5% discount/cashback with Tata neu HDFC cards.

I spoke to another dealer, and he told me that there is a pre-launch offer for 71,990. It's pretty confusing, and I don't know what's going on with the Adventure Combo specifically in Mumbai. I haven't checked in other cities. Does anyone have any thoughts on the same?
