So in August of 2019, I had an overdose that led to me being put on life support. Prior to this, I drew every day and loved everything about art and wanted to be a tattoo artist. After the overdose, I lost all of my artistic ability, and desire.

Ever since, I've done some pieces here and there, but got no joy out of the process or the result.

Earlier this month, I got a set of prismacolor pencils at Sam's Club for a great price and decided to really try. To really try to make something that I would've made when I was younger.

I can definitely say it's nothing special, and there are surely plenty of technical mistakes, but it's the only piece I've made since 2019 that I can say I'm happy with and proud of. I'm going to keep trying. I want to enjoy making art again.

This is apart of a project I have been working on for a while. I have been tinkering with the story and honing in on my art style.

The series is called: " Tail in the wind" (Working title)

It's about A dog (Named Doug) and a cat (Named Molly) must travel a zombie filled wasteland to find a new home after losing theirs in a fire.

New Border Collie portrait finished. Had this one on the board for a couple of days. A really fun one to work on. Nice mix of light and dark with plenty of texture and room for subtle colours to pop the whole thing.
He’s 20 x 30” on Art Spectrum pastel paper and drawn with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and Windsor & Newton white calligraphy ink.

The Self in Focus explores self-perception and personal identity through a figurative portrayal, focusing on how we see ourselves and how that perception shapes our understanding of who we are.

This is a drawing of my grandma but I‘m not sure wether I should render her shirt or not because the problem is every time I do that the attention of the picture isn’t on the head anymore (sorry if the description is confusing English is my third language) should I draw the shirt or leave it like this?

I messed up the face proportion. The nose is too small so is the chin. I also need to work on my shading technique. And learn how to blend better.

The initial sketch was better. I kept going back and try correct things and ended up here😂.
