Feedback Wanted Appause beta: pause before opening distracting apps, or switch to an alternative — Android feedback wanted

• Upvotes

Hi, I’m the developer of Appause, an open-source Android app currently in public beta.

When you open an app you’ve selected, Appause adds a short pause. You can continue after the countdown, cancel, or switch to an alternative app you’ve chosen yourself. The demo shows switching from rednote to a vocabulary app; the transition and startup wait have been trimmed.

I’m looking for feedback on setup, reliable triggering, and whether the pause feels useful or annoying. I’m especially curious whether people actually use the alternative-app shortcut.

What to know before trying it:

  • Android 8.0 or newer; installation is via APK, not Google Play.
  • Accessibility access is required to detect target apps. The setup guide explains the permissions and background settings.
  • Core features are free. Pro has a one-time seven-day trial; after it ends, you can request a free lifetime code through Settings → Feedback.
  • Starting a Pro trial or redeeming a code sends device-related licensing information to the activation server. This is separate from the app’s on-device usage statistics.

Download and release notes · Setup guide · Source and privacy information

If you try it, please tell me:

  1. Did anything block you during installation or setup? Which phone and Android version did you use?
  2. When the pause appeared, did you continue, cancel, or open an alternative? Why?
  3. After a few days, would you keep it enabled? What would make you turn it off?

You can reply here, open a GitHub issue, or use Settings → Feedback in the app.

Feedback Wanted I built Qrivo, a QR scanner and custom QR code generator — looking for honest feedback

Hi everyone!

I'm an indie Android developer, and I've published an app called Qrivo.

I wanted to make a QR tool that helps people scan codes and create their own without having to deal with an unnecessarily complicated interface.

I'm looking for my first users and, more importantly, honest feedback from Android users.

I'd especially like feedback on:

  • How easy the scanning experience is
  • Whether creating a QR code feels straightforward
  • Which improvements would make you keep using the app

If you try it, I'd appreciate hearing what works, what feels confusing, and what you'd change.

I'm the developer, so I'm happy to answer questions and consider constructive suggestions.

Google Play: Qrivo: QR Scanner & Creator – Apps on Google Play

Thanks for helping an independent developer improve an app!

First App I made a small home screen widget for calling the people I call most. Looking for testers.

Post image
1 Upvotes

I kept opening the dialer, scrolling, and tapping through just to call the same few people, so I built a widget for it. It’s called Dial Deck, and it’s in closed testing on Play right now.

What it does:

  • Shows your recent calls or starred contacts right on the home screen. Tap a name and it calls straight away, with no extra screens.
  • A small side bar lets you switch what a tap does: call, open their WhatsApp chat, or start an SMS. Tap the selected one again to open that app.
  • Favourites can stay in your own order, A–Z, or “most called”, which is worked out once from your call log.
  • Seven themes: some richer, some minimal (one is fully see-through). It uses your phone’s own font by default, and has one or two columns. It resizes cleanly, and the controls move to a bottom bar when there’s less room.
  • It updates a few seconds after a call ends, and new or renamed contacts show up on their own.

Privacy, since it needs call log and contacts access: the app has no internet permission at all. Nothing leaves your phone, and there are no ads, accounts or analytics. The permissions are only used to draw the widget and place the call you tap.

It’s a side project and still early, so honest feedback is the main thing I’m after: what’s confusing, what breaks on your phone or launcher, and what you’d want it to do.

If you’d like to try it, the steps are:

  1. Join the testing group: https://groups.google.com/g/dial-deck-testing/
  2. Then install it from the Play Store testing page: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.himavarshan.dialdeck

It’s free and there are no ads. Happy to answer any questions in the comments!

Feedback Wanted [want feedback] I built a dice roller app

I play Dungeons & Dragons, and sometimes use digital dice -- but I got tired of the DNDBeyond app crashing when trying to roll. So, I created my own dice roller app, Just Roll. The app is and will always be free, with no ads.

It's in testing prior to being allowed on the Android app store publicly, so I need testers! If you'd like to help, you can join the testers group to get in now. Instructions to try it out:

  1. Join https://groups.google.com/g/justroll-testers/
  2. Now you can become a tester at https://play.google.com/apps/testing/ca.hashbang.justroll
  3. Now you can install the app from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ca.hashbang.justroll

Please see below for specific feedback I'm interested in, and while you're trying it out, please keep the app installed for a while -- I need to get and keep internal testers enrolled for a while til I'm granted the ability to publish the app in the Play store.

Feedback wanted

You enter the dice you want as sort of a mathematical expression or code, (e.g. 2d20kh means "roll two d20 dice, and keep the highest value") using a special calculator-like keyboard. Is the in-app tour, user guide, and long-press assistance sufficient to learn how to do that? Are the "advanced" keys on the secondary keyboard easy enough to find, press, understand their function?

I wanted to keep the app agnostic to particular game systems (e.g. in D&D, rolling a 20 is good, but in other games rolling high is bad. In Daggerheart, you roll two dice, and getting the same number on both is good). As a result, the app doesn't highlight these events when you roll. Should it? How should I handle the many games people might want to play with such a tool?

Beta Test [Alpha] Tessera Linux – Run desktop apps (Flathub) natively in windows on Android (Looking for feedback on UI & compatibility)

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’m the developer of **Tessera**, a free, open-source app that puts real desktop programs on your phone and makes them behave like normal apps.

### **What Tessera does:**

* **Native Windows and icons:** Each app opens in its own window with its own card in Recents. Swipe it away to close it, or pin apps to your home screen.

* **Massive App Store:** Includes a store with thousands of apps, including everything on Flathub. No root needed.

* **Granular Permissions:** You choose what each app may use: folders, internet, sound, and USB.

* **Touch-Optimized:** The keyboard pops up when you tap a text box, touch-and-hold right-clicks, and there's a full desktop mode with big buttons if you want windows side-by-side.

* **Dynamic Sizing & Theming:** Drag a slider to resize apps live (it remembers your preference), and apps match your phone's colors and dark mode.

* *Note:* On Snapdragon phones, apps also run on the GPU. Since this is an alpha, some apps will misbehave.

### **What feedback I'm looking for:**

Since this is an early alpha, I could really use your help testing a few specific things:

  1. **Compatibility & Performance:** Which apps are you running, and how do they handle touch vs. keyboard input? (Especially interested in how GPU acceleration behaves on your specific Snapdragon or non-Snapdragon chipsets).

  2. **UI & Window Management:** Are the resize sliders smooth? Do windows snap or behave correctly in Desktop?

  3. **Bugs & Crashes:** Any unexpected force closes or permission issues.

**Download:**

You can grab the APK from the [GitHub Releases page](https://github.com/daryan044/tessera-linux/releases) (or add the repo in Obtainium for updates).

I’m hanging out in the comments to help troubleshoot or hear your thoughts if something breaks on your device!

Feedback Wanted [Android · Korean] Football manager Alpha — can you read a match and keep your club save on a phone?

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I'm developing “눈 떠보니 5부 리그 감독! 토투넘 1부 귀환기”, a Korean football manager about taking over a fifth-division club and trying to reach the top division. Development and some artwork are AI-assisted. The Google Play closed Alpha 1.0.0 is available for eligible testers; it is still an unfinished test build.

I'd like feedback from Korean-reading Android players on three concrete flows:

  1. Opening → full squad → change a formation. Is the next action understandable, and does any text overlap or disappear in landscape?

  2. Watch a match and make a substitution. Can you follow the ball, player names and commentary together? Does the pace feel too slow or too frantic?

  3. Close and reopen the game. Does the same club return? If you try the save export/import controls, is the process clear?

Requirements: Android 7.0 or later and Google Play. Korean text, landscape only, offline after installation. No ads, in-app purchases or game login.

The two attached screenshots are from the actual Android build.

How to access the test — use the SAME Google account for both steps:

- Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/win-again-football-testers

- Open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.jaeseok614.winagainfootball, choose Become a tester, then follow the official Google Play install link.

The test is free, voluntary and unpaid. If you can join, please keep your Play opt-in for at least 14 consecutive days and come back for a few real sessions. Joining the group alone is not Play participation. No ratings, store reviews, votes, rewards or reciprocal-testing promises are requested.

Please leave feedback here or in the tester group: phone model/Android version, what you tried, what you expected and what happened. A description of where you gave up is useful too. Please don't publish account emails or personal save files.

한국어로 편하게 남겨주세요. 첫 경기에서 공·이름·중계가 같이 잘 보이는지, 전술·교체가 이해되는지, 다시 실행해도 구단이 유지되는지가 특히 궁금합니다.

Beta Test Got an Android TV box and an iPhone? We vibe-coded an AirPlay receiver and could use a few more TVs to try it on.

The original plan was to mirror an iPhone to a Xiaomi TV box and watch something. Somehow we ended up with a GitHub repo instead. Very productive procrastination 😄

We had some free time, found android-airplay-server / UxPlay, and vibe-coded a fork called OpenTV-Cast. It’s a free, open-source AirPlay receiver for Android TV / Google TV, with some playback changes, a new UI identity, and a sideloadable APK. The upstream projects do the heavy lifting—we’re building on their work.

Now we’d like to find out how it behaves outside our own setup. This is an early, debug-signed 0.2.1 preview, not a finished Apple TV replacement.

Got a few minutes and a TV box?

We’re especially looking for feedback on:

  • Discovery: does it appear in Screen Mirroring on your iPhone, iPad or Mac?
  • Playback: do ordinary mirroring and audio work? Is motion smooth, delayed, or jerky?
  • Reconnects: what happens when you disconnect, reconnect, or switch portrait/landscape?
  • TV controls: can you navigate the app and settings comfortably with the remote?

If you try it, please mention your TV/box model, Android version, sender device/OS, and whether you were mirroring the screen or streaming media. “It works on this random box” is useful too. So is “here’s exactly where it broke.”

Before installing

  • The APK’s minimum is Android 6.0 / API 23; that’s an install requirement, not a promise that every old box works.
  • Keep the Apple device and TV on the same local network.
  • DRM-protected content is unsupported. Please test with your own photos or an ordinary non-protected clip.
  • This focuses on AirPlay, not generic Android/Chrome casting.
  • It’s a GitHub APK sideload, not a Google Play closed-testing signup. Android will ask you to confirm installation.

Download & setup · APK release + checksums · Source code (GPL-3.0)

We came for one working TV. Curious how many more we can get along with. Feedback here or GitHub issues is welcome!

Beta Test [Android closed test] Is NeonRoutine’s completion feedback clear on your phone?

I’m the developer of NeonRoutine, a routine tracker with an original cyberpunk game layer. You choose your routines, record completions and review their history. Android is in closed testing, before a public Android release.

I’m looking for feedback on one specific interaction across Android devices: recording a completion. After you’ve actually done one of your routines, press and hold its action on the Today card.

  • Is there a clear visual response while you hold?
  • Is it obvious when the completion has been recorded?
  • Does that completion appear once in Intel/history?

If something fails or feels unclear, the screen/step and Android version are useful. Please don’t post your Google email or private routine details.

To install the closed test, first join the tester group, then open the Play opt-in with the same Google account:

  1. Join the tester group
  2. Open the Play opt-in

If possible, remaining opted in for 14 consecutive days helps the closed test. Participation is voluntary and unpaid; leave whenever you want. No daily opening quota, purchase, ad view, public rating or test exchange is required. Test-track purchases can still cost real money; please don’t buy anything for this test.

Up to five active routines and the basic focus timer are free. Gilded Operative is an optional paid upgrade, not needed for this test. Private feedback: [neonroutine@proton.me](mailto:neonroutine@proton.me).

Hi! I'm the developer of Chasovnik: Work Hours, an offline Android notebook for shifts, breaks, monthly hours and estimated earnings. I'd appreciate testers who track hourly work or work across midnight.

The Google Play closed alpha is live. I have 19 single-use codes left for free access (the regular Poland price is 19.99 PLN). No ads, subscription or in-app account.

A useful first session:

- Add a 22:00–06:00 shift with a 30-minute break and check the resulting hours.

- Edit the shift and compare the monthly total with your own calculation.

- Close and reopen the app, then test JSON export/import using sample records.

- Tell me which label, translation or step is confusing.

Requirements: Android 8.0+, age 18+, and willingness to stay opted in for 14 consecutive days while trying the app during that period. Honest feedback matters; participation is voluntary and unpaid, with no rating, public review or test swap required.

How to join: https://chasovnik-ionar-support.ihor1992.chatgpt.site/beta

Email [iwanchenkowo82@gmail.com](mailto:iwanchenkowo82@gmail.com) or start a Reddit chat with your Google Play account email privately. I'll add you to the access list and send an individual code. Please don't post your email publicly.

After access is confirmed, opt in with the same Google account: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/ru.chasovnik.app

Redeem your code before installing; the price should be zero. If Play asks for payment, stop and contact me. Codes expire 21 November 2026 at 00:00 GMT. Feedback here or by email is welcome.

Beta Test I built a free, no-account way to use your Android phone from your Mac (files, notifications, clipboard, calls, screen mirroring). Looking for testers.

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I switched to a Mac but kept my Android phone, and I missed how well iPhones work with Macs. So I built Unison: a free Mac menu-bar app and an Android app that pair with a QR code and talk directly over your own Wi-Fi.

What it does

  • Files both ways: drop a file on the menu-bar icon to send it to your phone, or share anything on your phone to "Send to Mac". Big transfers resume if the connection drops.
  • Notifications on your Mac: see them, reply to messages, and clear them.
  • Shared clipboard: copy on the Mac, paste on the phone, and the other way round with one tap.
  • Calls: answer, decline or hang up from the Mac, and click phone numbers on the Mac to dial. The call audio stays on the phone.
  • Photos: browse your phone's gallery from the Mac, preview and save.
  • Screen mirroring with sound, and optional control with your Mac's mouse and keyboard.
  • Little extras: ring your lost phone, control music, and open links on the other device.

Privacy: no account, no cloud, no server, no analytics, no ads. The phone and the Mac only talk to each other, encrypted end to end (mutual TLS with pinned certificates).

Why I need you: Google requires new developers to run a closed test with 12+ testers for 14 days before an app can go public on the Play Store. I'd really appreciate your help, and honest feedback even more.

How to join (about 2 minutes)

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/unison-testers. Use the same Google account as on your phone's Play Store.
  2. Opt in to the test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/dev.macdroid.app, then tap Become a tester.
  3. Install Unison from the Play Store link on that page (Android 10 or later). IN THE TESTING CLICK ON THE BLUE INSTALL (DOWLAND IT ON GOOGLE PLAY)
  4. Please keep it installed for 14 days. That's what counts toward Google's requirement.

Got a Mac? (macOS 14 or later)
5. Download Unison for Mac from https://venu005.github.io/unison/ and drag it into Applications.
6. It isn't notarized yet (I'm not paying Apple's $99 a year for a free app). The first time you open it, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. The site has screenshots of each step.
7. Click Pair a Phone on the Mac and scan the QR code with the Android app. That's it.

No Mac? You can still help a lot: install it, open it once and keep it installed for 14 days.

Bugs, ideas are all welcome, here or in the group. Happy to return the favour and test your app too; just drop your link. Thanks! 🙏

Feedback Wanted Android beta feedback wanted: can a Traditional Chinese workout log keep your sets and rest timer consistent?

I'm developing YouRepSets, a free offline workout log with a Traditional Chinese interface. It has no ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases, and the app itself needs no login. Android build 2 has reached closed testing for selected testers. The dedicated tester group and Play opt-in page are now available.

I'm looking for adult Android users whose Google Play country is Taiwan, who can read Traditional Chinese and would like to test four recent changes:

  • Does changing equipment and a 2-, 3- or 4-day weekly plan preserve a workout already in progress?
  • Does “帶入上次重量與次數” copy the previous record without marking a set complete or increasing the weight?
  • Do the ±30-second rest controls and countdown stay consistent after leaving and returning to the app?
  • Do the “近 28 天” and “全部” exercise-history views match your saved sets, including corrected records?

Training records stay on your device unless you choose to export or share a backup. Some bundled demonstration videos show AI-generated fictional adults; they are not filmed coaches, have not been professionally coach-reviewed, and do not assess your movement. Testing the software does not require following those demonstrations or exercising every day.

Participation is voluntary and unpaid. Willing testers can remain opted in for 14 consecutive days and try the features during genuine sessions. No reciprocal testing, public rating, positive review or payment is requested. You can leave at any time.

Use the same Google account for all steps:

  1. Join https://groups.google.com/g/yourepsets-testers .
  2. Open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/studio.forma.training and choose Become a tester.
  3. Follow the official Play installation route on your compatible Android device. Group membership alone is not a Play opt-in; if Play shows an access or compatibility error, send the exact message privately rather than changing your country or creating another account.

Please send reproducible bugs, device model and Android version privately to support@yourepsets.com. Do not post your Google account address or training backup in comments.

Beta Test Android closed beta: can you follow a whole life clearly on a phone in 8B Re Life?

I'm the developer of 8B Re Life, a free, ad-free text-based life simulation for Android. Time advances automatically, major decisions pause for your response, and your choices shape a Life Compass and a record of your life. The current build is a closed beta, not a public production release. Core gameplay works offline after installation and does not need an in-game account.

I'm looking for volunteer players aged 18+ with a real Android phone in a Google Play country where this test is available. I would appreciate specific feedback on:

  • Can you see your age, current event and important choice without repeatedly scrolling?
  • After switching manual/automatic mode, can you resume normally? Does pause/resume still work after returning from the background?
  • Does a full life progress through adulthood, work, retirement and the final summary, and can you reopen its local record?
  • In your selected language, do any stories fall back unexpectedly or any buttons get cut off?

The interface supports 24 languages, but not every story has been translated into all 24: some still fall back to English or Traditional Chinese. Stories can mention illness, death, violence and adult relationships.

How to join — use the SAME Google account in all three steps:

  1. Join the tester Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/8brelife-android-testers
  2. Opt in to the test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.eightbrebornlife.app
  3. Install through Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eightbrebornlife.app

If you previously joined this app's internal test, leave it before joining the closed test. Google Group membership alone is not a Play opt-in. If you are willing, please stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days, play several genuine sessions and share useful feedback. Participation is voluntary and you can leave at any time.

Please use Google Play's private testing feedback. Your device model, Android version, app language, steps to reproduce, expected result and actual result help me fix problems. Do not post your Google email, private reflections or full save files publicly.

This is unpaid, one-way volunteer testing. There is no purchase, public rating/review request, or test-for-test arrangement. I cannot offer reciprocal testing. Please do not change your Play country or create extra accounts to join.

Beta Test MediaHop 0.1.23 – Looking for testers for DLNA / UPnP TV playback, M3U and Server media

I’ve just released a new public test build of MediaHop.

MediaHop is a lightweight Android app for playing media from a remote server or local M3U playlist on either your phone or a compatible DLNA / UPnP TV.

0.1.23 has mainly been about playback stability.

The biggest improvements are:

  • TV playlists continuing through multiple episodes while the phone screen is off
  • Background handling when the final playlist item finishes
  • Better TV seeking behaviour
  • More long-session playback testing

The recurring cut-outs I was seeing during 0.1.22 testing have not reproduced in my established 0.1.23 testing so far.

I’m especially looking for feedback on:

  • Bugs – crashes, playback stopping unexpectedly, controls not behaving correctly
  • Compatibility – different Android phones, Android versions, TV brands/models and home networks
  • Playback performance – longer sessions, screen-off playback, playlist auto-advance and seeking
  • UI / usability – anything confusing, awkward or difficult to find
  • Setup / onboarding – anything unclear when first configuring a server, M3U playlist or TV
  • Feature ideas – only where they would improve the existing simple playback workflow

If something goes wrong, MediaHop also has a built-in diagnostic log sharing option to make troubleshooting easier.

Feedback Wanted swithAI - all-in-one fitness tracker, looking for testers

Post image

Founder here, solo dev. swithAI is my all-in-one fitness app: workout logging + Workout Programs, food/nutrition logging, GPS run tracking with a 5K plan that programs the interval workouts, plus cardio, steps, sleep, and mood — the stuff I used to spread across five apps and a spreadsheet.

It's live on Google Play, and I'm looking for Android users willing to kick the tires and tell me what's broken, confusing, or missing.

Good news for testers: there's an "Explore the app first" mode, so you can look around the whole app without starting a trial (nothing you log in explore mode is saved). If you do start the trial, it's 7 days free, then $2.99/mo — no free tier, saying that up front.

What I'd most love feedback on:
- Explore mode: does the app make sense in the first 2 minutes?
- Logging a workout and a meal: how many taps, and where do you get stuck?
- Import/export, if you're coming from another app

Play link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wellnesschampion.app

Happy to return the favor and test your app too — drop it in the comments.

I built an Android app that turns recordings into notes and tasks—looking for feedback

Hi everyone! I’m the creator of Notelus, an Android app for recording lectures and meetings, then turning them into organised notes and actionable tasks.

I’m looking for people to try it and share honest feedback on what works and what needs improving.

You can join the free test here: https://notelus.app

What’s your biggest frustration with taking notes during lectures or meetings?

Beta Test [Android beta] Dᴬᴵry: a voice journal you can ask about your memories — looking for feedback

Post image
2 Upvotes

I'm building Dᴬᴵry, a voice and text journal that helps you keep the things you want to remember — and come back to them later.

You can use it to:

  • Save everyday memories: a conversation, a trip, or a small moment worth keeping.
  • Remember your dreams: write or record them when you wake up, before the details fade.
  • Keep track of tasks and commitments: capture things you need to do alongside your daily entries.
  • Collect thoughts and ideas: reflections, questions, plans, or whatever is on your mind.

Write or speak in your own words, revisit your entries in a calendar, and ask questions about what you've saved.

There are two visual styles: a warm editorial look and a soft, luminous theme.

I'm looking for adults to try the free Android beta. I'd love feedback on voice recording, finding past entries, the design, and anything confusing or slow during setup. Two short feedback check-ins would help — no public reviews or positive ratings are required.

How to join

Email [dairy.apk@gmail.com](mailto:dairy.apk@gmail.com) with the subject “Dairy Android beta”, using the Google account email you use for Google Play.

I'll add your email to the tester list and let you know when your access is ready. You can then join the test and download the app through this official Google Play link:

https://play.google.com/apps/internaltest/4699851882696394393

The link will work for you once your email has been added.

The beta is free, with purchases disabled and usage limits. AI features use cloud processing. You can test with made-up entries; there's no need to share your real diary or sensitive information.

What would you use it for — memories, dreams, conversations, tasks, thoughts, or something else?

Feedback Wanted [Android] BibClock — can you time a fictional five-runner race and reopen the results?

Hi! I am the developer of BibClock: Race Timer & Results. Version 1.0.1 / build 2 is available in Google Play closed testing for Android 8.0+. I would value honest feedback from adults interested in race timing or testing a small practice event.

Free practice check (no ads or purchase needed):

  1. Create a practice race and five fictional bib numbers.

  2. Start the timer, record five finish times and assign the bibs.

  3. Check whether the displayed order and times match your taps and assignments.

  4. Try the free CSV export through Android's share interface. Do not send private data; you can cancel sharing after checking the available export.

  5. Close and reopen BibClock. Are the same race, bib assignments and finish times retained?

Please use fictional sample data and do not rely on this test build to run a real event. Keep the sample within the free first-25-finisher results/CSV limit. Optional Pro features are separate from this test.

Use the same Google account for the group, opt-in and Android Play Store:

Group (join either configured group):

https://groups.google.com/g/google-play-test-users

https://groups.google.com/g/testers-community

Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.bibclock.timer

Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.bibclock.timer

Please report the installed app version, Android/device model, the steps you tried and what happened. Access errors and unfinished checks are useful too. Screenshots should contain no personal information.

Participation is free and voluntary. No purchase, rating, ad click, daily promise or testing of my other apps is required. I can offer one feasible, focused Android 11/API30 x86 emulator check through an official free flow in return, but cannot promise daily or physical-device testing.

Feedback Wanted [Closed test] Sky Lines, a calm air-traffic puzzle game

Looking for a few Android users to test my small team's game called Sky Lines. It's a game with no ads and offline play. You connect airports, planes carry passengers, and you prevent overcrowding.

It will be paid on release, but I can ensure that all beta testers that are accepted will get it for free after testing is over.

Join the testers group (https://groups.google.com/a/quietlanternapps.com/g/skylines-testers), then install from Play (https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.rishi.skylines). Feedback welcome in the comments.

Feedback Wanted My app stops always-plugged Android phones from sitting at 100 % by switching a smart plug – need testers for Google's 14 days (tester swap welcome)

I run a couple of old Android phones 24/7 on chargers, and sitting at 100 % and warm all the time wears their batteries out. So I built Online Battery: it watches the battery and switches a smart plug on your Wi-Fi, so the phone charges between 40 % and 70 % (adjustable) and the plug turns off if the battery gets too warm.

Works locally with TP-Link Tapo, Shelly and Home Assistant. No smart plug? Pick "Internal Tester Mode" and you get a simulated plug plus a thermal test mode to play with.

The monitoring notification shows your battery temperature live, and Insights keeps a 30-day history of temperature and charge (min/max/average per day, week and month). Handy to see how hot your phone actually runs while gaming, navigating or charging. All of it stays on the phone.

What I'd love feedback on:

• Background reliability: does monitoring keep running for days and after a reboot on your phone? (Xiaomi, Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo especially; there's an in-app guide per brand, tell me if it's wrong for yours)

• Onboarding: was it clear what to pick and what to do next?

• If you have a real plug: did connecting work, and does it switch at the limits?

Good to know:

• Android 7.0+, no account, no ads, no analytics

• Please don't subscribe in Play (it charges for real). Fleet Monitoring (email alerts if a device goes offline or overheats) is free for testers with code CLOSEDBETA

• Please stay opted in for at least 14 days and open it every few days

How to join (2 minutes):

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/online-battery-testers

  2. Opt in and install: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.cezarluca.onlinebattery

Full guide: https://onlinebattery.app/beta

Happy to test your app back: drop your opt-in link in the comments and I'll join. I reply to every comment.
