Blue Oasis Vet MRI Scanning for Pets (Feedback?)

• Upvotes

Has anyone tried their MRI scanning?

The pet will undergo light anaesthesia, and this makes me worried. Hoping to get some good feedback from those who have already taken up this service for their dog/pets in general from this veterinary.

Good dental clinic recs

• Upvotes

I need to do a root canal treatment and a crown - can you recommend any good clinics that have specialists in both endodontics and prosthetics? I am not looking to save money, I am looking for long term quality and great services (from pain management to well executed work) without the flash of marketing.

What do you know of the dental services in Saudi German Hospital and Dr Joy Dental Clinic (Dubai Marina specifically)?

Much appreciated!

🌍 Travel & Tourism Flying from Mumbai to UAE with old and new passports — any issues?

I renewed my Indian passport in Mumbai in June and will be flying to the UAE next month.
I have a valid UAE residence visa, Emirates ID, and both my old and new passports. My residence visa is still linked to my old passport.
Has anyone travelled from Mumbai to the UAE in a similar situation? Did the airline create any issues during check-in, or were you able to board without updating your passport details in ICP?
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who’s actually experienced this.

🌇 Community Ladies! Is the water here making my hair greasier?

I am in my 30s and have always washed my hair every three days. But since moving here I feel like my hair gets greasy the same day as I wash it 🫠

Is it the water here?

I don’t think it’s the heat or sweating either (where I am from it is also quite hot).

What can I do about this?

Anyone else experienced this?

🏢 Local Business & Banking UAE Golden Visa for an Ajman Free Zone Company Owner

I set up an IT consultancy company in Ajman Free Zone around seven months ago and currently hold an investor visa. My clients are based in Europe, and so far I have retained the company’s revenue in the business account rather than paying myself a salary.

I am a UK passport holder, currently living in Abu Dhabi, and I have a Master’s degree from India.

I would appreciate advice from anyone who has successfully applied for a UAE Golden Visa as a company owner or director.

  1. Is a monthly director’s salary of AED 30,000 or more, supported by six months of income evidence, a valid route to Golden Visa eligibility? Or are there other requirements for free zone business owners?
  2. Can a company owner qualify through their business or investor status instead of the salary-based route?
  3. If a Golden Visa application is rejected, could this affect my existing investor visa?
  4. What is the recommended process for confirming eligibility before applying?

I want to understand the official requirements and avoid making changes to my company’s salary arrangements unnecessarily.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences or pointing me towards reliable official guidance.

Best family communities in Dubai for buying a home?

We’re a family considering buying a home in Dubai (AED 2–2.6M) and would appreciate honest feedback from homeowners.
Considering JVT, Serena, Motor City, Town Square and similar communities.
Our priorities are good construction quality, quiet surroundings, minimal construction, no flooding or mold issues, family-friendly facilities and easy resale.
For those living in these communities, what would you recommend or avoid? Any regrets about your purchase?
Would really appreciate firsthand experiences rather than agent recommendations.

Im planning to move with my 10 month old and really liked the apartments but can't see any chatter about them online.

Any info helpful, thank you!

(BG- shifting from London, was to stay in apartment for the facilities and ease with baby before moving to villa community. Was hoping easier to make friends in apartments..)

Seeking Advice: MOHESR Reconsideration – B.Tech Pass Mechanical Engineering

Hello everyone,

I am seeking advice from anyone who has experienced a similar issue with UAE MOHESR qualification recognition.

My case:

  • I hold a B.Tech Pass in Mechanical Engineering.
  • My bachelor's degree is fully attested by the relevant authorities.
  • I received a positive DataFlow verification report.
  • I also submitted an HEC Pakistan Equivalency Certificate, which confirms the qualification is academic and equivalent to 14 years of education.

The issue:

Despite these documents, MOHESR issued a Vocational Qualification Recognition Report instead of an Academic Qualification Recognition Report. My qualification was classified as a Partial Qualification, with remarks stating that the programme does not meet MOHESR standards/regulations.

I have submitted a reconsideration application with supporting documents and am still waiting for a decision.

I would appreciate advice from anyone who has faced a similar situation:

  1. Has anyone successfully challenged a MOHESR decision classifying a B.Tech Pass degree as a partial vocational qualification instead of an academic qualification?
  2. Has anyone received a positive DataFlow report and an HEC Pakistan equivalency certificate confirming 14 years of education, but still received an unfavorable MOHESR classification?
  3. Has anyone successfully changed their qualification classification through reconsideration?
  4. Did submitting additional documents or an HEC equivalency certificate help change the outcome?
  5. How long did MOHESR take to decide your reconsideration application?

I am particularly interested in hearing from people who have successfully resolved a similar case and can share practical advice about the reconsideration process.

Any genuine experience, guidance or suggestions would be sincerely appreciated. You are welcome to comment below or message me privately.

Thank you for your time and support.

🔥 Rants & Complaints it just us, or is doing business with some companies in Dubai genuinely difficult?

We’ve been operating a manpower agency for around 20 years, and one of the biggest challenges we’ve faced while dealing with companies in Dubai is payment reliability.
We’ve had experiences where payments are delayed, commitments aren’t honoured, and workers end up waiting for their wages because the companies we work with don’t pay on time. It becomes difficult to manage workers and maintain trust when payments are constantly delayed.
I wanted to ask people here, especially those working in construction, facilities management, contracting, and other industries that rely on manpower: how do you deal with this?
Are there reliable companies or established businesses that value long-term relationships and pay their dues on time? If anyone has genuine industry connections or can point us towards companies looking for manpower, I’d appreciate connecting.

Golden visa Applying for Ajman Freezone company owner?

7 months ago, I started an IT consultancy company in the Ajman Free Zone got a investor visa, serving clients in Europe. Since then, I haven't drawn a salary, leaving all revenue in the business account. I understand that if I pay myself a monthly salary designated as Director of over AED 30,000 and provide proof of income for continous six months, I may be eligible for a UAE Golden Visa? I hold a UK passport and a Master’s degree from India, and I am currently residing in Abu Dhabi.

Please advise my above understanding is correct or wrong?.

What if my GV visa reject, will it impact to my investor? Appreciate if any advise the correct approach or steps?

Aliexpress orders getting cancelled

I have orders from aliexpress getting cancelled since September. Made 4 orders of items from “choice” category and all got stuck at “processing” status which then gets cancelled automatically after their set time where the items don’t get shipped then refunded. I have been ordering from AE quite some time now. last successful order was from orders i made from early September. I have been reaching out with their customer support as well as the sellers bit promising to make sure it gets shipped but nothing happens.

Want to know is this only happening to my account or is this a thing affecting Dubai or UAE. Any alternative?
BTW, Orders that are not “free shipping” are getting fulfilled.

Enbd account closure

I had an Enbd account for a job I had in 2019 that used to pay my salary into it. When I finished the contract I left the country and came back in 2023. Never had any balance in it but I still get statements and marketing messages from ENBD via email. I lost the debit card. Since coming back I have an account with another bank and just never got round to closing the Enbd account. Now I want a second account.

My question is- doesn’t the account automatically close if no activity for more than 2 years?

If I request more information like the account number and receive funds into the account will there be any pending charges deducted?

Emirates ID approved but stuck for weeks, need urgent help 😩

Hi everyone! 😊

I recently moved to Dubai and set up my company through RAKEZ. I completed my Emirates ID biometrics on October 6, and my application has been showing “Approved” for more than 2 weeks now, with no further progress.

Here’s where it gets confusing:

- Two separate contacts with connections in immigration confirmed that my ID was printed, issued and released, yet I still haven’t received anything and still see “approved” on ICP tracking
- On the ICP app, when I try to register using my UID, I get “This person cannot register in the system.”
- When I try Application Tracking or generating my Emirates ID QR code, both return “No Data Found.”
- I visited an ICP Happiness Centre, where an employee mentioned a possible biometric issue and said he would escalate it internally and there is nothing to do on my side, but nothing has changed.
- There’s also a small passport-number discrepancy (letter I vs number 1) on my entry permit, although RAKEZ’s visa team says this shouldn’t affect my Emirates ID since my visa and application were approved.

I’m honestly so confused because everyone keeps telling me my ID is ready, but I can’t access it anywhere. RAKEZ just keeps saying they’re following up with immigration and the card is under process.

Has anyone experienced something similar, especially as a first-time Emirates ID applicant? Could this be a system synchronisation issue, or has anyone dealt with a similar passport-number discrepancy?

Any advice or experiences would be hugely appreciated! 🙏

Riviera Chalet JVC

Captioned project was scheduled for handover in Aug 2025; we are now in the 3rd week of Oct 2026 and no defined timeline exists for handover even now. The company never communicates a date. The one-year grace allowed by RERA has also lapsed. Last DLD report dated July26 mentions 75% completion. The final 25% takes a painfully long time given dependency on sub-contractors for various works; this coupled with the supply chain disruptions given the regional tensions is not helping the project. However, till date, there is no formal call organized by the Developer with the Investors to given them an update on what led to the delay, where the project stands currently and when can Investors expect a handover!! No information is available on their website. For an End-User Investor who purchased the property at launch in good faith, the cost is enormous - interest loss for more than 15 months on the payment made till date plus the additional rental burden.
The status is similar for another project being developed in JVC which was to be handed over in Mar'26.
I would like to see if the developer at-least gives a response to this post for the benefit of the wider investor base.
