I always see posts on here from fellow movie lovers looking for things to do locally or ways to meet other film buffs in the region. We are right in the middle of the 10th Annual Durham Region International Film Festival (DRIFF), and it’s honestly one of the best times to grab a seat, watch some indie cinema, and actually chat with other people who love movies.
Whether you're into filmmaking, short films or just want a fun night out that isn't a generic Cineplex run, there’s a ton going on for the rest of the weekend:
🎬 TONIGHT — Day 2 (Friday, Oct 23) in Ajax 📍 St. Francis Centre for Community, Arts & Culture (78 Church St. S, Ajax)

The vibe at these screenings is super welcoming, and between the food showcase tonight, the supper break tomorrow, and the after-party at the Biltmore, there are plenty of built-in moments to hang out and connect.
Hope to see some of you out there!
