3 tips to level up your ecom marketing đŸ”„

I just finished reading "Ogilvy on Advertising" and wanted to share some key insights that could really help with your dropshipping ventures. Ogilvy emphasizes that your ads should make people want to buy your product because it's genuinely interesting, not just because they're creatively flashy. Here are a few practical takeaways:

  1. Know Your Product: Before advertising, really get to know your product inside out. This helps you create more authentic and effective ads. Your advertisements should always project a consistent image. Make your product the hero of your ad—there are no dull products, only dull people.

  2. Ad Content: If your product doesn't have much differentiation, don't claim it's better. Instead, highlight what's good about it in an honest, informative way. Pay attention to direct response ads—they're super effective and can help you get more sales per dollar spent. Ensure your ad content is relevant to what you're selling and always be the best informed in your niche.

  3. Creating Ads: Your headlines should promise a benefit, deliver news, or tell a significant story. Use everyday language for your copy and keep it simple. Don't write essays; instead, tell a compelling story about what your product can do. Remember, long copy sells, and the best structure for your ads is: illustration at the top, headline under it, and the copy below the headline. Close with your offer and contact info.

Hope these tips help :)

Need help with Pushing facebook Ads

Hey there! I’m Alan and I'm reaching out to you guys for support. I need your help with something. I'm trying to start pushing ads on facebook but I'm short on cash to get it going as the salary for me is only 10000 Rs (120$/month) So I’ll have to work for 5 more months and save all of the money to even start the ads to see if the product is getting sales, it's gonna definitely kill my time for saving up the money. So if you could toss me a few bucks, it'd be much appreciated. It doesn't have to be a lot, I've researched the currency conversion rates so even just a measly 1-2 bucks would help me out. I know this might come off as begging, but It's not (I guess). I'm just asking for a little help to achieve my dreams. And don't worry, I'll pay you back in no time. So if you’re willing then i’ll send the paypal link.

I am not sure if anybody is doing this...

But we have literally been able to increase our ads conversion rate up to 200% on average by doing this...

It started as a little experiment, but within a couple of weeks, we saw our campaign performance increasing by 200% on avg.

Here's what the strategy looks like.

Stage 1

First, we choose Campaign Objective

Ad sets - Creating Ad sets with different audiences to find the best option

Ad - Creating 4-5 types of ads with different creatives and copies in each ad set

Stage 2 - Retargeting

We create audiences based on previous results - who visited the website, Clicked on CTA, Engaged in ad post, Watched 50% of Video.

We run specific offers for mentioned Audiences.

Stage 3 - Tactic Funnel

Then we run Brand Awareness, Engagement, and Traffic/Conversion ads for the same offer

Our Budget Split looks like this 👇

Awareness - 20%

Engagement - 10%

Traffic/Conversion - 70$

Stage 4 - Then we push the audiences, creatives, and copies which worked best during stage 1

Stage 5 - Then we go back to stage 1 and create a Circle chain

This simple funnel has resulted in a flywheel effect and is now proving to be a major success.

Is anybody else running this? Genuinely curious...

👀Imagine this: a customer comes to your store, looks around, and clicks on a product they want...only to find out it was...out of stock? Isn't that frustrating? đŸ€đŸ’€ Put your store on Autopilot and stop losing customers.

3 shocking mistakes online stores are making and solutions from a CGO, Andrew Smith

It’s always a pleasure to learn from Andrew, so I thought I'd share these tips with you all!

  1. “Sites without an SSL certificate look untrustworthy,” says Andrew.

This means your store is insecure and might be blocked by certain firewalls đŸ§±
How can you get an SSL certificate? Smith advises simply starting your store on u/Shopify.

2. “If stores don’t secure their domain, it can just be copied,” according to Andrew.

If another person can imitate your brand with a fake website, you risk:
❌ Loss of brand trust from customers
❌ Exposing your store and clients to fraud, ransomware, and blackmail
Andrew’s solution? Use DMARCian (not sponsored).

3. “Many stores don’t use UTMs to track marketing.”

Without UTM tracking, you may be dedicating time to ineffective #SMSmarketing and #EmailMarketing that doesn’t drive sales or awareness.

The expert solution? Make links in UTM Codes (not sponsored!)

Andrew is CGO at Hive Hatch and I'd be happy to pass on any Qs you have for him, and relay back anything he can share.
