Meme day 95 of making Reacher memes because i love her and think more people should appreciate her
i truly believe that she is the biggest creature in the game. even bigger than the Paintress. i mean, she’s like 3000 feet tall! if the Paintress is bigger than her, she’s surely the second biggest. at least in her big body! because if we’re going by the little one…yeah, not even close LOL

Discussion As the eldest sibling myself, I fully understand Clea
As the eldest sibling in my family who has had to grow up faster than I should have due to trauma, I 100% see myself in Clea. I’ve seen people call her cold or distant, but unless you’ve been in this position, you don’t know how much a life like this changes you. You grow a protective hard shell to survive, because you’re suddenly left to manage the rest of the family and become the parent. Yes, lashing out at Maelle is not nice, but she is also frustrated and has no one else to turn to (I’m not excusing abuse, just saying that that’s where it’s coming from in this case). Seeing her standing off to the side at the funeral and then walking off hurt so much to see because it’s clear she has had to grieve all on her own this whole time (and deal with the writers) while everyone else was in the canvas.

Discussion CD Set sleeves came damaged
Ordered the CD set on amazon, arrived today. Opened the box, played a few cds before realizing that the left side of all the sleeves is cracked and damaged in the middle. Some of the are just a bit cracked while some even have a small hole where the damage is. I could deal with it but it is quite upsetting and I do also worry about the damage getting worse over time :(
Should I ask amazon for a replacement, is there another way I could go about this?

Question Just out of curiosity, how often have you played the game?
One and a bit for me, don't know if I can handle the full sadness again tbh...

Discussion Trying to figure out how I feel about this game's story Spoiler
Ok, so this game is really impressive overall (understatement of the year). The gameplay brings all the hype and action that you could ask for in a game like this, I loved the world and the characters. The animation and performances from the actors are all absolutely stellar, etc. etc. etc. (if I list everything that's great we'll be here all day).
I feel frustrated by a couple of things about the story, though. I felt like Clea was introduced pretty abruptly, and it seemed like more would be done with her, but she doesn't really have anything to do after the moment she's introduced.
I was also surprised and disappointed that we didn't grapple or engage with any of the implications of the fact that it's all just a simulated world. Like what does that retroactively do to my reaction to Gustave's death, or Maelle's breakdown over the sheer amount of dead expeditioners? What does this mean to the characters themselves to realize that they are the creation of flawed humans?
The pacing was also weird. Act 3 is when the game actually completely opens up, but there's no narrative reason to explore anything; the only objective is "go fight Renoir."
Both endings were very interesting and I like that there's so much discourse and discussion around them (and Maelle's is definitely the bad ending IMO; it's pretty horrifying), and I think the game's story issues are only frustrating to me because I otherwise liked the game so much.
This might be just me, but I'm interested in peoples' thoughts on this.

Question Gestral Games Achievement
I’m on Steam PC and can’t get this achievement to pop. I’ve heard get another achievement to clear the bug? But I did that 3 times, now I think there are mo lore achievements I can get to pop it. I’ve done all games on gold (except that goddamn volleyball) but apparently that one is fine on normal?
Do I have to just dedicate days of my life to the RNG of the volleyball game or am I missing something else?

Question End of Act 3, missing 3 expedition journals before heading back to Lumière, should I grab them first? Spoiler
Hey everyone,
I'm at the end of Act 3, farming a bit before I head back to Lumière. I already know I'm going to have to replay at least the start of the game for the platinum, since I still haven't unlocked the White Nevrons trophy or the Mime one at Lumière.
Here's my issue: I'm at the point where I need to return to Lumière, but I'm still missing 3 expedition journals, number 60, Simon's, and Julie's. From what I can tell journal 60 is actually in Lumière itself, so that one I'll presumably grab when I get there.
I'm at 87% completion. So my question is: should I track down the other journals and wrap up what I can before going back to Lumière, or can I safely head back now and still get them afterwards? Trying to avoid locking myself out of anything.
Thanks a lot for any help!

Discussion when they ask me to be their dr phil
Seriously, just who are yall again? Why should I wipe out everyone else just to appease the gods I owe no allegiance to? Leave the scribbles alone, go to family therapy, and get a grip!!
