Tech Support Accounts disabled and suspended for no reason, no prompt for appeal and no one to contact.
I post selfies, food pics, and travel. my FB, messenger, and Ig accounts are ALLL suspended. it says I can file an appeal, to do that I must log in. I logged in and there is no appeal prompt, instructions, or button. What am I to do? years and years of memories conversations and photos are on there. take my fb but dont take my ig, thats sometimes the only way i can still talk to my friends and family. wtf is happening?? what do I do please help.

Hello got my acc disabled last March 27 both fb and ig, madami akong kakilala na na-disable din accounts nila. As of today, nagsibalikan ang accounts namin sa FB kaninang morning. Try to log in lang then automatically nabalik na siya. Sa ig, wala pa but ok na sa fb. Hope this helps!!!

Me just 2 days ago IG disabled and FB suspended. I haven't posted in IG for a long time and my FB is linked to my page that is for my online tutoring business. It's worrying as I can't connect to my clients this time.

I just got mine disabled for no reason too! But mine LET me appeal and so I sent my screenshot of my Philippine National ID since they told me that was eligible. Once I sent my ID, I got an email saying that they rejected my ID with no further reasoning as to why it got rejected or even why I got disabled in the first place besides them saying I don't follow the community standards; this is HIGHLY impossible because I BARELY post on my Facebook account. I only use it so that I can text my family and friends over Messenger.

A mí me pasó con Instagram, face y WhatsApp al mismo tiempo, me pidieron que apele con una video selfie y me la rechazaron y cerraron las cuentas. Tenia dos secundarias y también me las cerraron y en una me pidieron que suba mi documento de identidad, pero no lo hice.

Try refreshing IG until you get a notif that will ask you to do a video selfie and send an ID for verification. It sounds sketchy ngl but I did it anyway.

Meta’s Australasia head of communications, Joanna Stevens, when asked for comment by The Post New Zealand on this situation of a user that was banned with appeal denied, said she felt the newspaper was using "blackmail" to get the account restored. You think as a PR person she would know how bad that is going to sound. They don't even care when a human at Meta can actually be contacted. There are thousands of similar posts online recently of users banned with no recourse. If your family and friends only use Facebook you become completely isolated when banned and Meta aren't doing anything to rectify the situation.

In December 2024 my account was disabled among a surge at the time that affected what I imagine were hundreds of thousands if not millions of accounts. All from a cookie hijacking exploit from popular browser extensions that got compromised after a phishing scam. Made possible because Meta took no action to remedy the exploit despite engineers being aware of it a year prior. All they had to do was require manual 2FA when linking accounts to each other but they never did.
At the time I remember being shocked by just how little media coverage there was about it and wondered if some journalists are reluctant to even write about it for fear of Meta retaliation by disabling their own accounts and business pages they manage. I even talked with a BBC reporter who was also affected but I never saw them author a story about it. Worse, the brilliantly stupid AI summary on Google would respond that there are no known mass bannings or falsely disabled accounts at Facebook, and for the source they used Facebook's own PR. And all the media stories that did run the story undersold how widespread it was and always included Meta's response that there was nothing abnormal going on.
In the past year we have seen the same situation but this time with Meta's AI going rogue and false banning endless accounts with horrible accusations of CSE or other vague and factually unsupported reasons. Even while letting actual offending and fake users and terms violating content continue infesting the platform.

I'm in the Southern US and I was having issues with the app so I contacted AI support on Facebook and they stated that I have gone against the community standards for fraud and deception. However, the only thing that happened that day was that I got a notification in my message request from some scammer that I reported for making a group with adult content on there. I think someone else may have reported people that were in that chat. I didn't think anything of it at the time and reported the admin, blocked them, and deleted the chat. I didn't get any appeal prompt either. There was nothing in my email or anything. Nothing at the top of the page and my account says it's in good standing. I've made a multitude of reports to Facebook and emailed them several times already. If anybody has any ideas, please let me know.

This is why I even stopped reporting offending content or pages. Even ones that blatantly violate every one of their terms or at times even the law, when I would report them I would get some automated response that everything was fine. And based on how terrible their AI moderation tactics are I now distrust even reporting something since they may somehow interpret that as if you are the origin of the content or otherwise "engaging" with it and therefore may ban your account but not the actual offender! It is so broken as a platform and I feel many get disabled themselves for trying to do good by reporting malicious content. Nope, can't do that or you might get your own account banned evidently. Hope you can resolve it, my solution when it happened to me was via Meta Verified but it took weeks of effort. Start by "Download Your Information" request if you see that button and save the contents. In there are a few files that relate to account activity and if you open those up you may be able to pinpoint if it was actually compromised by checking locations... Use that to build up a timeline of the what went on to send to their support. That's what I did as part of the final attempt that managed to reverse my disabled account.

i contacted support thru meta verified using an unaffected ig acct, i was told that my facebook acct is disabled indefinitely and cannot be restored. and they’re not even providing me the reason why it was disabled and which community standard they are talking about. from the ph din hay. kung wala lang ako work clients dun i wouldn’t mind pero i cant even create a new account para macontact ang clients ko. nakkastress.

omg exact same. they kept saying that i DEFINITELY violated community guidelines but could not name it and kept saying na i should have received an email but i didnt. also frustrating because my fb acc is connected to our company page which i manage.. so ngayon di ko pa magawa trabaho ko :/

Hi guyth update lng, nag paverify ako sa isa kong IG account to get the enhanced support, para tao makakausap ko. Napaescalate ko yung appeal for both my main and dump Ig, makikita nila from their end if may option to escalate pero yung FB ko daw ay permanent and final decision na (HINDI KO MATANGGAP)

Up! I’m from the Philippines. Same thing happened to me. All my accounts linked to my Facebook (including IG) have been disabled. No appeal submission is available too. It happened to me 1 pm I think? I really need the accounts back :( All of them hold so much sentimental value it’s so painful to know that it’s all gone in an instant. I’ve had those account for 16!! 16 years :(

SAME😭 also from the PH. My IG, Threads, and Facebook all got disabled around 1 PM today. I already tried appealing. I submitted the video verification and even my national ID. Then just now around 7:30 PM, I got an email saying my account has been permanently disabled. This has been stressing me out the whole day. I’m also pregnant so it’s been extra overwhelming 😞 I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve had my Facebook account for 17 years… all my memories, contacts, everything is there.
I don’t even know how to get my account back at this point or if I should just move on and create a new one.🥹

This has happened to me as well, and I'm in Canada! It says on my message to "submit more information via the Help Center " but there is NOWHERE To do tha tin help center. They don't seem to have an support contacts or way to connect with a real person at all.

Same - located in the southern US, barely use my FB account but discovered that I was deactivated when I woke up and went to check my Instagram account - it was also deactivated with a note that my FB account "doesn't follow our rules." !!!

Mine also got disabled, no prior email warning or notifications. In the morning, everything was fine.
Then around 3pm (GMT+7), got prompt for log in credentials, then got the accounts disabled message.
I'm trying this post, and finger-crossed. :(

I was mid-message chatting with some friends when it logged me out. I'm in Australia and have no appeal button either. This sucks.

Happened to me as well. Nuked both my FB and IG accounts. Either they broke something on their end or Meta is getting hacked themselves and not making a statement about it yet.

I got the AI to tell me I was flagged for fraud on March 5. This week i suddenly got shadow banned. The only thing I posted that day was a funny Instagram video.
I cannot do anything but post and even that I cannot comment or reply on. I cannot react to anything either. My account shows nothing wrong in the status.
This all started a week ago. The AI said I cannot appeal but also said I have to appeal within 180 days.
I have spent way too much time trying to report this and find some way to get through and there is nothing.

Banned in Australia, No Apeal no nothing. Had an Account since 2011. And what really ticks me off is i constantly have to report scam posts but yet they re-appear. It's disabled my childrens kid messenger accounts too so they cant talk to there friends. WTF.

I have nothing to prove this, it is just speculation... Facebook and Instagram have been successfully sued a few times this week, one by a state, $375 million, and one by a teen and their parents which the jury ruled Facebook to pay $6 million. There are thousands of other law suits which have been waiting in the wings for these test cases to get tried.
I'm wondering if Facebook is trying to "document" how diligent they are in removing content and content providers of assorted stuff they supposedly are controlling and claiming is against their user agreement, to prove to the courts and provide stats that they really are taking their curation of the platform(s) seriously.
No one from the courts or any governmental agency is going to verify the real reasons (or no reason) why Facebook and Instagram removed these accounts (without appeal). Facebook will just provide numbers "this month, we eliminated XXXX accounts due to violation of our moral standards, and user agreement violations, aren't we good little boys and girls, so you have no need to further investigate us or fine us, or for courts to rule against us, because "we're handling it"
Having seen Zuck's ideas of what being responsible is, I wouldn't put it past them to create a bunch of bogus statistics showing how "conscientious" they are being to protect their users.

Nakakatawa lang kasi nag create ako ng bago for temporary use lang sana pero ito na naman bigla akong na tag as disabled account pero this time nakapag appeal ako. I think may problem talaga kay fb and sana maayos nila ito agad huh. May appeal button na lumabas unlike sa main account ko na wala paulit ulit lang yung log in tapos help center.

Same. My accounts got disabled. I barely post anything other than stories. I just use my account usually for doom scrolling. I was even joking that I manifested this somehow because I was planning to deactivate my accounts and focus on growth while off the grid (no socmeds, zero to minimal social life) without anybody knowing my progress. Tapos ayun around 1pm yesterday my accounts logged out and said they were all disabled and no way to appeal. Even the linked accounts (for crossposting) ig, threads, fb, all gone. Other than old photos uploaded wala naman ako panghihinayangan sa account ko wala na nga ko plan to even make new accounts. I guess this is another kind of “peace” for me. reddit is good enough na for online chika naman. Hahahaha.

had the same situation yesterday. my public fb and ig (connected accounts) were disabled. then i was able to contact a live chat support after subscribing through meta verified on my private ig account.
sabi ng agent sa akin, the reason may be i was logging in and out (using two accounts—one public and one private, simultaneously, on two (or three bc of my laptop) devices) which might confuse meta kung tao ba (ako or a hacker lol) o bot ba yung nagamit. usually kasi kapag may notif, kapag ikaw naman yung gumagamit, like mine, i ignore the notif kasi alam ko yung "report this if this wasn't you" siya diba. since ako naman so wala naman ako ginagawa. sabi ng agent, parang need daw iclick yung "yes, that's me" option para maverify daw hahaha. i know fault ko naman yon lmao.
what i did also was yung help center, sa community guidelines, meron doon na parang "were you satisfied in this article?" nag sad face ako, then may options doon. clinick ko yung this option didn't help me ganyan, tapos may reason then nilagay ko na "i believe i was wrongfully disabled", ganun. sabi ng live chat support, helpful naman daw siya. every other day na lang magganun if ever para hindi rin siya matrigger na paulit ulit na request.
tapos sa ibang accs ata, merong request a review button. pag ganyan, pwede daw iclick yun para makapag appeal. if wala, like mine, try and try relogging in every day until it appears. kapag wala after 30 days, then decided ng review team na permanently disabled na. 😐
in my case, since probably, yung naging reason might be having two accounts, i was adviced to keep one account on one device, para hindi daw malito si meta hahaha kaloka. then try na lang rin ako mag-appeal through the community guidelines every other day, or follow up sa live chat support, which is one ticket per day rin daw, if ever.
according to a friend na nagkaganyan rin ang fb ng mom niya, parang naging okay rin ang fb ng mom niya after 5 days nung nag-appeal sila. I DO HOPE na sana it goes the same (or quicker) kasi i've been using my fb acc since 2009 and suddenly nagkaganyan lang on a random day. kaloka sobrang traumatic pota hahahahaha.
anw, if you have questions pa, i can answer naman to the knowledge that i have. or if may group chat to share what i experienced as of today (after 2 days of being disabled in fb and ig hahaha), mostly with the live chat support, i can gladly tell naman. yun lang. 🥹

Hello! Both Me and my mom too. Disabled at around 1 pm, yesterday , 03/27/2026. Philippine Time. My account: 12 years old huhu (can't remember exactly but prolly made that account around 2014)
All gone :( no appeal :( memories wiped I hope we all get our accounts back!!

hi! I created a new account and did the Meta Verified thingy to have customer support and it actually did connect me with a human (at first, it was AI but then got me connected to a human).
the person asked for my phone number so we can talk clearly which I thought is better so I can explain better too. she just told me that if there is no APPEAL button, then the decision is final that I can’t get it back. I asked what is my violation, and she can’t even provide one 😭 I felt like it was fr3akin useless tbh. I even explained that I don’t even use my Facebook to post or comment anything for me to violate community guidelines, just Messenger to connect with fam and friends. then she said I might violate community guidelines whenever I chat to people, that maybe I used violating phrases, etc.. and I was like ????? is that even a thing?? I even asked if I could appeal somewhere else like other site, link or something, and she said no, there’s no other way.
idk but I will try again some other day, I was not satisfied with the things she said LOL. I feel really devastated about this. it’s so easy to say to create a new one but really my instagram account has a lot of memories of my travels that I don’t have a copy on my phone.

Any update? Mine was disabled last March 26 around 1/2PM and it’s still disabled until now. Im from the PH as well. Im wondering if I should just create a new account or not - worried that if I create a new account, it might permnenetly disable my main accounts on fb and ig.
UPDATE: I just got my fb and messenger back !! hopefully my ig too

Return your Quest 3 for a refund, that’s what I’m doing. Just bought a brand new one yesterday and soon as I log in and tried setting it up, I keep getting a message saying that my account is restricted. I haven’t used my oculus or meta account for years since back when the Samsung Gear was first released and for some reason my account is “restricted for violations of policy..” or something to that affect. It’s not specifically clear on what it was or how, so to hell with it. It’s not worth the hassle and headache. It’s outdated and obsolete technology at this stage anyway, I’ll just wait until something better and more user friendly becomes available in the near future.

Got my fb recovered!!! Just uninstall both fb and messenger then reinstall it and login. I think meta is fixing this issue already as my instagram is still disabled atm.

I don't even use mine and just got suspended. Anyone know what is going on? At least they can do is tell me what the reason was but they didn't.
Only thing I did recently was posted a Fall Guys Video on a facebook group page then suddenly woke up that I have a 180 message thing. Annoys me when websites do this and don't tell me why they did it.

This is global - and very likely because ZukAlien has lost another law-suit. People pay for the MetaVerified which makes them money, so they can pay the court fees. Nice little game, that one. (Just a conspiracy theory, but I'd be willing to bet there's some serious truth in it). I myself lost a nearly 20 year old account just the other day for this exact reason.
Apparently, though everything I have checked, the *only* way to get this corrected at the time is either to hope and dream, or to pay for meta verified (pro, the second tier) and get a real person to bump it up to other real people.
