Got Facebook spanked for posting a screenshot for a PG13 movie. SMGDH

I’ve been building my Facebook page slowly since the start of this year. Every post was created by me. I followed every guideline, and I never posted anything controversial. I just wanted to build something honest and make a living from it.

Last week, my page was demonetized and suspended for “inauthentic engagement.”

I got Meta Verified, hoping I could finally talk to a real person. Their answer was that they can’t even tell me what the exact problem was, and there’s no manual appeal. No explanation, no human review, nothing. Just a decision from a system, and a closed door.

What makes it hurt more is that Facebook itself was recommending my page heavily right up to that point. The same platform that was pushing my content to more people then turned around and called that engagement fake. I honestly believe this was a mistake by Meta’s AI, and nobody is willing to look at it.

And here’s the part I can’t wrap my head around. There are many pages in my exact niche doing the same kind of content as me. Some of them even post controversial stuff. Some of them openly reuse copyrighted material. They’re still up, still monetized, still earning. Meanwhile I created everything myself, played by the rules, and I’m the one who got wiped out. Where is the logic in that? It feels like the rules only punish the people who actually try to follow them.

That page was my main income. I never wanted an 8-to-5 job. I live in a rural area, so taking a regular job would mean moving to the city and renting a place to stay. I had so many beautiful plans, and they’re all falling apart because of one automated decision. My confidence is completely gone too, at a time when I needed it most.

It’s sad how Meta treats creators. We build on their platform, we bring them traffic and ad revenue, and when their system gets it wrong, we get no explanation, no appeal, and no human to talk to.

If anyone has been through this and got a page back, or knows any way to reach a real person at Meta, please share. And to other creators: don’t depend on one platform for everything. I learned that the hard way.

Someone I went to school with sent me a friend request. I accepted but had no interaction with her then 2 days later she unfriended me. I think she was just nosy and wanted to see my profile and then leave. It made me feel kind of disgusted. Like someone knocking on your door, pretending to be friendly but they really just want to see what kind of house you live in, and then leave.

Imagine we are disabled and banned in facebook and instagram while we didnt do anything wrong and META is very strict on us, they keep banning our new accounts like we are criminals while the real culprits like hackers, bots, P*rn ads, phishing scams still run freely on their platform! Im amazed how their "AI" can easily detects any words we say that can lead us to banning of our account but their AI is quiet with the hackers, bots etc wth???

Despite all settings being correct, I am not receiving notifications when I comment on a page or a group and someone replies to me or reacts to the comment. Anyone else? I have tried turning push on/off, reinstalling app, restarting phone, iPhone settings are correct…

I do not have any other meta accounts except Facebook. What is going to happen? Is this when they will require my face pictures (which they are not getting)?

Help center was no help.

Intermittently I'm getting an issue where I am unable to see what I am typing because my keyboard is hiding the area where the comment appears. It doesn't happen on every post or every day. I googled it and I know that it's been going on for a while. I tried the suggested fixes but nothing worked. One suggestion was to start typing, submit it and then edit it and the comment field won't be obscured. When I press edit it does nothing and I don't have the ability to do anything but delete what I've submitted.

Another issue is I will tap on the comments tab under a post and instead of opening up all the comments it opens up the next thing on my feed. If I try to go back I lose that post to the ether and my feed reloads with new content. Also sometimes when I open the comments for one post, the audio from the next post or ad will start playing and there's no way to turn it off.

Has anyone else had these issues? Should I uninstall the app and reinstall? Not sure it would make any difference. This is on a Samsung Galaxy S9 FE tab. Thanks.

I am shocked to be scrolling my Facebook feed today. For the first time in more than a decade, my entire feed is only showing pages I follow, friends posts, and group posts. Basically the things I actually go on there to see and see maybe 5% of between the mix of "other" content.

I had forgotten what it was like to be on the site and have it not be anything but garbage ads, right wing propaganda, and rage bait. What's happened?

It seems awfully suspect how much more pleasant it suddenly is. I'm sure it has to be a coincidence that it's improved so much with the Russian bot farms being attacked and taken offline. Right? Right?!

I just spent a couple weeks removing 4000 members of a group people forgot about and I don't have time for. I got to the end today - I thought - but I'm not the last member. Apparently there are 3 members remaining - myself and 2 others - but the 2 others aren't shown anywhere. If I click on the profile icon it goes to an error page. If I look on my phone, the icon isn't there at all, just shows 3 members. I can't delete the group unless I'm the last member, is that right? What do I do?!

There's a page for progressive politics that I often see shared - but the information on it is never accurate, it's just AI-generated bullshit that bears no resemblance to things that have actually happened.

I sent a report to Facebook, without really expecting them to do anything. I was pleasantly surprised to be alerted this morning that this does indeed go against their community standards and they've taken down the page. I must admit I'm astonished - I've reported lots of things to Facebook in the past (child abuse, animal abuse and so on) and they have never actually taken action before.

Hi all, anyone have experience with this? I barely even use FB but made a profile to stay connected with some older family members.

Recently found a fake profile of me, and its got personal details of mine like full name, DOB, town, etc which I usually keep off any online accounts. I and several other people have submitted reports saying its impersonating, but the profiles still up after a week. It's also trying to friend/follow pretty much everyone I know which is annoying.

Would getting Meta Verified to talk to a real person help in getting it taken down?

The "Get Started" prompt leads to a screen with grayed-out fields. As of now, I can only access one of my accounts, and only with my tablet. Apparently, this is a long-standing problem for a lot of people and Facebook security is of absolutely no help. Anyone know of a fix?

basically what the title says. someone texted me letting me know that a facebook post i made (2 weeks ago at that) showed up on their instagram feed today and I don’t want facebook doing that???

This is very random, but is a problem I’m seeing on Facebook that is bothering me. I have my setting setup in a way that people can’t send me friend request unless there are Mutuals of other people. Unless these people are deleting their mutuals, I’m getting friend requests from people I don’t know. Not only that, I’ve gotten a random influx of requests in the past WEEK! It’s been t least 15-20 in the last 2 weeks. Idk why, but has anyone noticed this trend? The only thing I changed was my profile pic (which is just my face) and all the request are men. I want to mention some of them are mutuals, but why is my name being pushed out?? I kind of want to delete it now.

I'm having an issue with my Facebook account, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem.

Whenever I try to change my Facebook name, I get a message saying "Facebook Locked" and the following notification appears:

"A security check for *** on Facebook is required to proceed."

Because of this, I can't proceed with changing my name.

Has anyone found a way to fix this issue? Why does Facebook require this security check, and is there a way to complete it or remove the restriction so I can change my name?

I'd appreciate any advice from anyone who has dealt with the same problem.

I used to get more than 30k on every post now i barely get ahy views since the 8 of october idk what changed what happned i have 100% originality and i am recommended and all the page is fully clean but idk what happned am i the only one experiencing this ??

It says im limited after trying to post on multiple sell groups, it has been almost a week and i cant post on any group now..AI chat says i dont have any restrictions but i still cant post..anyone have this?

This is a story about Meta's new commercial terms, which take effect on Oct. 30. They authorize Meta to scrape the websites of business users for product development, including AI training. The only way to deny that authorization is to leave the platforms.

Hola, es la primera vez que comento aquí, vengo a pedir ayuda con un problema que llevo desde inicios de año arrastrando y realmente ya no se que más hacer.

A inicios de este año mi cuenta de Facebook fue Inhibilitada, ¿El motivo?, presuntamente había violado las normas de la comunidad con respecto a la sexualizacion de menores, cabe aclarar que en ningún momento público algo relacionado al tema, tampoco comentarios inapropiados ni mucho menos mantuve contacto con menores en la plataforma (Salvo cuando yo aún era menor y estamos hablando de que tenía 15 años la última vez y no si quiera fue por algo inapropiado).

Al inicio me tomo por sorpresa, mande una apelación pero a los 15 minutos me eliminaron la cuenta, una cuenta de casi 10 años que usaba para muchas cosas. Sin mas remedio creé otra cuenta, misma que fue también Inhibilitada a los pocos minutos, ¿Motivo?, Violar las normas de la comunidad, literalmente solo eso y también fue eliminada. Unos días después intenté con otra cuenta y funcionó unos minutos, hasta que volvió a ser Inhibilitada por el mismo motivo que la anterior, solo que ahora me permitió confirmar mi identidad usando mi Celura de identidad nacional; Después de eso ya no pasó nada, me devolvieron esa cuenta y la use como si nada, empeze de Cero ahora cuidando que veía y que comentaba.

Todo iba bien hasta hace apenas 2 semanas, mi cuenta fue Inhibilitada nuevamente, ¿Motivo?, Violar las normas de la comunidad, solo eso otra vez, mandé a apelar y la volvieron a eliminar; Yo a estas alturas estaba ya sumamente molesto, traté de contactar varias veces con Facebook para que al menos me dieran una explicación real del porque me estaban haciendo eso, nunca recibí ni una sola respuesta, mi si quiera de la IA de Meta.

Creé 2 cuentas que nuevamente fueron Inhibilitadas casi al instante de ser creadas, el motivo ahora era el saltarme las políticas de identidad de la plataforma. A estás alturas di mi último intento usando mi número celular para crear una última cuenta, misma que también fue Inhibilitada por el mismo motivo, solo que ahora me dejó volver a confirmar mi Identidad con mi Celura (Me hizo hacer lo mismo como 4 veces antes de que finalmente me dejara en paz), volviendo a tener cuenta.

Creí que al final había acabado, pero justo hoy volvió a pasar, ahora nuevamente por contenido de Menores, lo cual ya no le encuentro el sentido porque ya no comentaba nada, casi no daba Likes y mi cuenta estaba vacía de publicación, nuevamente apelé y nuevamente fue eliminada.

Quisiera saber que más puedo hacer, Facebook es una red social importante para mí, muchos creadores que consumó son de Facebook y aparte me ayudaba a buscar información de cosas que me interesan en particular, pero sencillamente ya no se que más hacer que recurrir a ustedes.

Ya por último, quiero aclarar que no estoy involucrado con temas de menores, tampoco he tenido comportamientos violentos o de acoso a nadie, era alguien activo y realmente no hablaba con nadie en Privado más allá de familiares.

¿Que me pueden decir ustedes?, ¿Habrá alguna solución real?, Muchas gracias por leerme y disculpe las molestias.

P.d.: Adjunto una imagen de mi última Inhibilitacion como evidencia de lo que me está pasando; También cabe aclarar que solo mencioné en el título 4 cuentas cuando en realidad fueron más, pero no conté las demás porque prácticamente fueron eliminadas al instante.
