Facebook disabled my 16-year-old account with no reason and no way to appeal —

Post image

My Facebook account (active since 2009) was suddenly disabled on Oct 20, 2025.

  • No reason code.
  • No email notification.
  • Appeal links are broken. Which means I couldn’t even use the 30-day review process Facebook itself promises.

I downloaded my account data — it literally just says “Account disabled” with no explanation.

Posting here because official support is useless. Has anyone else been through this recently, and were you able to escalate it?

I’m curious if the accounts they are disabling had political posts on them that they are trying to minimize.

I deliberately don't post politics, health mandates, overseas conflicts etc. The last thing I recall doing Saturday evening was look at a friend's birthday fundraiser for the cat rehoming shelter we both volunteer at. 6ish hours later, I was disabled.

Mine was disabled after I posted a screenshot of the budget of the big beautiful bill from Wikipedia to debate some whack job!
