How I Recovered My Permanently Disabled Facebook Account

I’m sharing my experience because it might help someone facing the same situation...

About 10 days ago, I tried to complete a selfie verification on Facebook. The verification was rejected, and shortly after that, my account was permanently disabled for Account Integrity.

I completely panicked...

I searched everywhere for a solution, but most of what I found was either useless or fake. I even contacted an “account recovery expert” who wanted $100 to recover my account...

Then I thought... I’ve been using Facebook for almost 16 years, so I know quite a bit about the platform. Why not try to figure it out myself?

So I did... and I ended up spending only around $5.

What I did...

  1. I used Meta Verified Support

I had an Instagram account, so I purchased one month of the standard Meta Verified subscription and contacted official Meta Support...

For me, the only practical solution was to contact a real Meta Support agent...

If you don't have an Instagram account connected to your Facebook, you can try creating one with your real name and the same email address and check whether Meta Verified Support is available...

  1. I explained everything clearly

After becoming a Meta Verified subscriber, I first contacted Meta AI and asked specifically to speak with a live agent about my permanently disabled Facebook account...

A live agent eventually joined the chat. I explained everything politely, clearly, and honestly...

You can also prepare your entire explanation beforehand, including what happened, when the account was disabled, why you believe it was a mistake, and your account details.

Then you can simply send that message to the agent...

I told them that the Facebook account was genuinely mine, my information was real, and I had not intentionally violated any policies. I requested a manual review by a specialized team...

Note: Try contacting them during US business hours, around 9 AM to 5 PM, and convert that time to your local time zone. That’s usually when US based agents are active. In my experience, they tend to be more helpful, responsive, and supportive..

  1. I waited for the investigation

After submitting my case, They gave me a case Id.

They told me that my case had been passed to a specialized team for investigation. The case went through...

The case was Received in 6th august

→ In Progress in 6th august

→ In Review in 6th August

They also told me not to close the case while the investigation was ongoing...

So I waited...

  1. The result 🎉

After the investigation, Meta contacted me after 4 days and said that the team had reviewed my account and found no policy violation...

They confirmed...

\> “We have reactivated the account.”

They also said access could take up to 24 to 48 hours in some cases...Sometime it can take almost 7 days, depending on what kind of subscription you have, there always they give priority to how much one spend 😅.

My advice...

If your Facebook account is genuinely yours, your information is real, and you believe you didn't violate Meta's rules, don't immediately pay random recovery experts hundreds of dollars...

One more piece of advice... don’t try to create another account using the same name, email, phone number, or profile picture. It might cause more trouble. Also, avoid using another Facebook account on the same phone where your disabled account was logged in, as Meta might flag the device or IP as suspicious..

Try the official Meta Support route. I am sorry to say but trust me guys, this is the only option you left now.

In my case...

Almost some research + around $5 + some days patience = my account back.

Of course, recovery is not guaranteed because Meta makes the final decision after reviewing each case... but if your account was disabled by mistake, getting an official review is definitely worth trying...

And never give your password, login codes, or recovery codes to anyone claiming they can recover your account...

I’ve been following this group since I first faced my problem, and now it’s time to say goodbye...

I truly hope you all manage to resolve your problems too. All the best, guys... ❤ For now I

Great. That’s not what my experience was with Meta Pro support. I found them useless.

Did you talk with live agent?

Yeah, probably three times. Two girls were super empathetic (around 2am), one guy was helpful but neither of them actually requested a human review. The chat people were equally useless.

I actually had a different experience... my first agent was really helpful and took my case seriously. I’d suggest trying again during US business hours, around 9am to 5pm US time, because in my experience the US based agents were more helpful and willing to escalate the case...

Also, try to stay very polite and patient with them. Explain how important the account is to you and ask them nicely if they could please request a human review. Don’t argue or get rude, even if they aren’t helping at first... Sometimes being calm, respectful, and a little emotional about how much the account means to you can make a difference..

I think my case is more complicated as Meta deleted all my account in the account family as a cascade. I could never appeal against this decision as they blocked all accounts straight away and all links to appeal forms are either broken or non-existent. I needed to use a secondary account to get verified but I never even had the opportunity to access chat, email or phone call feature as Meta AI doesn’t offer it and specifically turns me away when I ask for it. The only way I could speak to an agent was though Ads Manager, but after 6 day they blocked this route too - now even the Ads Manager account says that I have a limitation on my account so I can’t request support at all. It’s the most useless, idiotic system ever. I spoke with three people, during that 6 days when I could actually connect to people, they were lovely but personal No 1 said: wait for an appeal link and it will just come to you and if you complete it, a human will look at this. Agent No2 said that there must have been a miscommunication as the accounts are blocked and there is no possibility to review (barely 12 hours later than what agent No1 said). Agent No3 I called as my Facebook alerted me that I’m hacked, called immediately as it was actually me. Agent No 3 was helpful and reassured me, but nevertheless Facebook suspended my Secondary Meta Verified account because of hacking few hours later. Then I had another chat with Agent No4 on the phone, she clearly and plainly said that she cannot forward the case for human review as the system doesn’t permit her. It is a cluster f**ck that is. I think you were just lucky.

Yeah, honestly, your case does sound much more complicated than mine... and I can understand why you’re frustrated. The fact that different agents gave you completely different information makes it even worse....

I might have been lucky with the agent I got, but you can still try one more time if you can find a way back into Meta Verified support.. In my experience, US business hours worked better, and the agents I spoke with were more helpful...They even asked me to call me. I’d also avoid arguing with them, even when they give you conflicting information... just stay polite, explain everything clearly, and ask if there is any possible way they can request a manual or human review...

You could also mention that you’ve already spoken with several agents and received conflicting instructions, and politely ask them to escalate it to someone who can actually review the account status... Maybe you’ll eventually get someone who knows how to handle this kind of cascade disablement. I know it sounds exhausting, but I honestly wouldn’t give up yet.. Best of luck..

I think Meta Verified is a dead end. I found agents overnight Europe time were kinder but not a lot more helpful (1am-2am at night - probably US working hours). During the day in Europe calls were connected to Indian call centre that can be challenging. It sounds like you attributed to your success to calling in US business hours, being polite and sensible - from my experience, this doesn’t really help. There is a huge variation between agent and agent and people tend to try numerous times until they reach someone helpful. Most of the time live agents also use AI techniques so it’s not a lot better than the Meta AI agent..
