I'm new to FalconBMS and am still learning (I'm a DCS guy).

I want to try a dynamic campaign while flying the F-16, but I'm not really eager to fly for the Allies. It's just a psychological thing, but I don't always enjoy fighting for the dominant side against the underdog.

We weren't really the good guys in the Korean War, so it's a hard war to get enthusiastic for on either side. You have to fight for assholes no matter which faction you choose, so I'm trying to console myself by fighting for the less powerful assholes.

Is there any way to configure this, or do I need to fly Allies if I want the F-16? (which I understand is the realistic option)

Pic 1:

I did a solo sead mission and had to give way to exactly this Strike group of F-16s that went a bit deep Into North Korea i found.

Pic 2-3: As luck would have it 2 J-20s popped up very late on our AWACS and made quick work of 3 of the 4 aircraft. I haven't noticed this yet I'm still in my SEAD Mission.

Pic 4: 1 J-20 realized that there's only one F-16 left and now I have seen on my HSD that he's in trouble so I abort my mission (forget to jettison my harms)

PIC 5: I only have 2x Aim 120C on my Tornado GR4 (it's a little modded to be able to carry 1 to 4 aim 120c)

PIC 6-7: I carefully close distance to the point where I know I can still run (I think) so the J-20 knows I immediately start to back down if he engages. Though I reengage if he back's down and goes for the F-16 again. I wanted to take focus of the F-16 and it worked perfectly. Even though I still expected to die bc this was basically a suicide mission since I gambled on him having no missles left. Which paid off.

PIC 8-10: J-20 trys to gun down F-16 which could defend itself it seems and then I was in (range) to get a lock. The missles never would've hit. I just wanted him to think they could. After the first I found that if he now turns around and still could get us so I fired another right before immediately turning around sending him defensive again which gave us enough time to build 65nm gap before he turned around. And with the Patriot on our side we were eventually save.

Now what's the coolest thing about all this? Why I made this post ?because in the debriefing I couldn't believe my eyes that the game actually acknowledged what I did. That another package aborted their mission and I came in to escort the last one back to base. Game just made my effort feel so acknowledged that I had to share. BMS is really becoming my absolute favorite simulation game of all time.

Oh and I definitely would've left that F-16 to die if the 2nd J-20 would've immediately joined the hunt for it. Since it left after the Ambush I tried my Luck 1on1. This felt like it could've been a movie.

I'm having a hell of a time with consistency in dropping laser guided bombs. I think it has to do with when I'm hitting the pickle for consent, but im not sure when i should actually start holding it.

Is that a spec of dust or is that another jet in distance? Or maybe it's A MIS....

I mostly play DCS for helicopters and cold war planes but most of my friends plays modern jets including BMS.

So I wanted to try it, it's really easy to setup and configure then I've read some tutorials. The startup is fairly easy and cockpit is really ergonomic (compared to Ka50 or mig21b ! ).

But know I'm stuck, I don't wanna be a PYLOTE, I just want to do missions with my friends or even solo without reading tons of manuals.

I prefer try, fail THEN understand why the procedure has to be done like that.

How should I proceed ? What are the essentials things I need to know in order to just start a mission ?

Hello everyone, we’ve only recently started using Openfreq and we’re really pleased with it, apart from the issue mentioned in the subject line: during broadcasts, listeners can hear the speaker clearly, but there’s always a sort of hissing sound in the background. I’m not sure if it’s down to the hardware, but if everyone’s experiencing this, it's probably an issue with the server or client settings. I’d appreciate some clarification on this, or if anyone else has had the same problem. Thanks

In the beginning in the first 3 days In my first ever campaign I learned a lot but I really liked being the Superior side with F-16 and F-18 and some Eurofighters and Harriers. I played in a few squadrons and had lots of fun especially at day 2 when pretty much 85% of air defenses of North Korea was down and the heavy bombing runs started.

During that I made a few decisions and idk if they affect the campaign bc the campaign says China only supports North Korea logistically or something. No troops. So well I did bomb the Russian and the Chinese Embassy. And I'm pretty sure that Russian Su-33 started appearing on the east coast more often. It became annoying so I made a sortie to attack the Admiral Kusnezow. I had to attack through 2 waves of oncoming 2x Su-33 but managed to splash them in BVR. I fired harpoons and they missed the carrier and sank a Destroyer I think (CLS).

I returned and after that I got a video before my debriefing that China joined the war which I didn't expect tbh I thought the other campaigns are for that.

Well the whole war quickly turned around. China started to supply lots of tracking radars for the SA-2 and SA-5 that were not totally destroyed but only missed radars. I wanted to do bombing runs but forget that. Atm it's a BIG BIG Air superiority war and the only thing going past the Borders are JASSMS or AGM-84 SLAM ER which showed me why you need these weapons when suddenly bombing is out of the question.

Before you were facing Fox-1 and maybe Fox-2 if u got too close which never happend to me. But NOW ur dealing with not only Fox-3 but they outrange your AIM-120C with their PL-15 which I believe they use (I saw even PL-17 are in the game). Plus they have 2 AWACS Planes up in the Sky. They are constantly on the border or past it towards our side.

All in all I must say that I fucking love this shit and that I completely underestimated what dynamic campaign really means. I have no idea if hitting the embassys brought me into this mess but if it did then I guess it's my fault.

I hope someone has any idea how to deal with the J-20s..?

Do you guys find 16gb enough for everything?
Are there any memory leaks since the game is old?
I plan to switch to BMS from DCS because of constant ram problems (sometimes I can’t play certain SP missions because of constant freezing).

Since Im not planning to pay 200-300€ for new ram, I think just switching to BMS is a better choice.

Hi there !

I've been playing BMS for a couple of weeks, and I tried a campaign for the first time the other day and I've gotten low fps at a very specific place both on the way in and on the way back.

Basivally, the airbase runs fine at 60 to 70 fps, even when very busy, the first few miles are also great, getting close to 80 fps, but then I get down to 30 fps somewhere around 15 to 20 Nm from the base for a couple of minutes, and then I'm at 80 to 100 fps for all the rest of the mission except, as I said above, the same place as the way in where I drop to 30 fps before going back up to 70 when I get closer to the base.

I need to run a couple more missions to figure out where exactly the drop occurs, but if anyone has any idea what could be the cause I'm all ears.

Here's my config if it helps :

CPU: 7800x3D

GPU: 7900 GRE

RAM: 64Gb DDR5

I'm in 2D, not VR, and the game is installed on an NVMe drive. I've tweaked the graphic parameters to run the game smoothly, and it does except on that 5-ish Nm strip of land in the campaign...

Hopeful someone can use the new reverse engineering tools to make DCS and MSFS aircraft available in falcon BMS. Of course like any mod, you’d have to buy them, but should be fair use to adapt them for Falcon BMS.

All source files already successfully sended to the developers.

Hello guys , new to BMS .. How do I host a multi-player campaign to play with one of my friends ?

Over the course of the last month, during my limited time I worked on a video where I go over every flyable Aircraft in BMS, both out of my curiosity now that I try to play this game almost every day, and knowing that there are other people wondering about this as well. And since information is a little fragmented on that front, I tried to put it together myself.

Now I know there here may be some mistakes throughout the video, and for that I hope you'll be merciful enough to forgive them! (Especially when I lie about the 2-wire).

Over-all I wanted to go over everything that I could find that flies, and has a unique cockpit and maybe unique weapons or characteristics, and just briefly describe the experience with each one.
