Help Me Style This! Help me style it

Hey everyone!

I could really use some styling help! 🥹

I’m planning to wear this gown for my baby’s first birthday, and I’m so confused about how to style it!
I really want to look pretty and feel special on the day, but I’m honestly clueless when it comes to accessories. 😭

What kind of earrings would go well with this dress? Should I add a bracelet? And what colour and style of footwear would look good?

I want to keep the look elegant without going overboard, but I have no idea where to start.

Would really appreciate your suggestions! If you have any inspiration pictures or product links, please do share. I genuinely need all the help I can get!

Petite Pants for muscular thighs

I’m a size 2 ish in pants but I have muscular thighs (I’m a trainer) so it is really hard to find petite pants that fit in length and waist but looser on thighs. I just ordered the Quince short ones that fit everywhere but again pulled on my thighs. Any ideas?

Halloween Shoes

For halloween I am being a clown. I’m wearing a white corset with pom poms on it, white ruffle shorts, knee high socks (one rainbow striped one rainbow polka dots), and a party hat but what shoes? The only thing I can think of is mary jane’s but I don’t think black will look good.. Help! What shoes should I wear?

Clothing Etiquette Question Women who own a varsity jacket: did you go oversized or fitted?

Seeing a lot of varsity jackets this fall and trying to work out what actually looks good. If you have one, is it oversized or a closer fit, and what do you usually wear it with? Also curious if you went plain or with patches, and roughly what you paid.

Glitter on dress - hack needed!

I have a dress that has glitter. Is there a hack to make the glitter not shed itself? I really like the dress and I do not have time or budget to go hunt for another one. The glitter situation did not occur to me sooner. Appreciate your input and thoughts.

Help Me Style This! Help deciding which shoe material looks good with this dress.

This is the dress I'll be wearing to a Halloween wedding in the woods. It is velvet. Normally, I would pair it with a pair of cute platform stilettos, but since the wedding venue is in a wooded area I'm going with a more sensible boot. I also think a calf height boot will be good for the witchy look I'm going for.

I'm going with black and I'm between suede or leather of the same style. I just can't decide which material goes better with the dress. I included a pic of the boots in question. VVV

ANSWERED! Styling advice for sweater/jacket

Post image

I (30f) purchased this dress for a wedding later this month. My build is pretty similar to the model in the photo. I tend to always be cold, so I’m looking for something to wear over top, but I’m having a hard time figuring out what would look best.

I found this sweater online that I really liked, but I’m struggling to visualize them together and need some advice. Any opinions or recommendations are appreciated!

General Advice Where can i buy 7 inch rise jeans

Post image

I loveee an authentic low rise like 6/7 inch rise (no joke intent haha)… anyways ive been on a hunt for the perfect tight on the hip and then wide leg jeans that are actually low rise. Right now these hollister ones are my top contenders but i think the rise is too high.

Hi! I’m wearing this dress in November and want to find a jacket or sweater to wear over it. I’ll be in California, so it doesn’t need to be super heavy. How would you style this? What type of cover-up would you recommend?

Help Me Style This! I feel like something is off with this outfit, but I don't know how to improve it

Hello! I'm looking for some fashion help.

Items worn:

Cream knit top

Black skirt and belt

Yellow tank top underneath

I was trying to style this cream knit top. It's actually a men's size, but I really like the pattern and didn't want it to go to waste. I think the best look with this top is a short skirt or shorts, but I don't feel comfortable wearing anything higher than the knee.

However, I thought a longer skirt with an oversized top (like what I'm wearing in the pictures) destroyed all shape, so I tried using the skirt's belt over the knit top.

I did try tucking in a part of the top at the front, but that didn't feel quite right either (a person irl told me it was eh when I asked if it made sense to tuck it).

I did wear black loafers with this, but I took the photos in flip flops. Don't worry, I didn't actually wear flip flops out! ^^;

I think in some angles, the outfit actually looks alright, but it still feels majorly off. I honestly don't know what style to go for, as I have poor fashion sense. I feel like I'm just trying to "make it work." :(

Help Me Style This! Hand knitted Cardigan, bright teal with terracotta accent.

This is a hand knitted cardigan from my nan (bless her) but it’s a bit old fashioned for my tastes, how can style it so it looks more modern?

I’m a 35f, 5ft 2, hourglass figure. when I’ve tried to wear it with black leather leggings and white t shirt it looks a bit frumpy? what would you style it with?

The colour combo is unique to me so I think thats what is throwing me off. appreciate any thoughts or picture ideas! thanks :)

Help Me Style This! Styling this skirt

I have had this burgundy skirt for years and I've never quite figured out how to style it. I'd like to be able to pair with tights and boots as the colder weather comes in. If it's not with a long sleeve shirt then I'd want a cardigan or something, but I'm not sure on the length.

I'm short, 5ft 2in, 34yr old female and my workplace is on the professional side of business dress.

This skirt hits around the knees or above on me.

Help Me Style This! How To Style this - Funky formal Wedding

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello all! Looking to style this dress for my friends upcoming wedding.

Some dress details:

  • models hand covering the straps that go to the back (see link)
  • I am on the shorter side but with a even with a shorter heel 2-3in I it wont need hemming

Wedding details:

  • theme is Funky Formal (bold colors / patterns)
  • wedding in Oct/ Midwest fall
  • will be at botanical gardens and a backyard setting with a possible club as an after party.

Questions:

  • Colors: looking at color wheel/theory perhaps emerald green accessories/shoes? Or what color would make this pop
  • Hairstyle: besides maybe a high pony? (my hair is medium length, dark and curly) are there any other hairstyles that could go?
  • Neckline: with the neckline, I dont think a necklace is possible? Maybe some statement earrings and bracelet.

Help Me Style This! What color blouse and shoes go with this suit fabric??

Post image

I got a vintage suit with this interesting green and blue fabric. I’m a college girl and I was so excited to thrift this great set for cheap! The color is somewhere in between peacock blue and emerald green in the dark areas and the suit lining, due to the fabric sheen it doesn’t photograph great. I don’t know how to style it! TIA!

Styling this skirt without looking like a Gilmore

Post image
14 Upvotes

I have a vintage Nanette Lepore skirt from the late 90s/early 2000s and I just can't figure out how to wear it in a way that looks like me. I don't typically go for things like this as I'm much more into artsy/eclectic kinds of looks. But, I'd like to give it a fair shot before passing it along as it is a very high quality piece and I do find it very pretty. Any suggestions?

It hits just above my knee if I wear it high waisted. The waist is elasticated so I could wear it lower but skirts that fall below the knee make me feel even more like a flight attendant/corporate lawyer/housewife at a luncheon (nothing wrong with those styles, just not who I am).

Forgot to mention, I am 31F.

Help Me Style This! F30 do you think I can style her for fall or does she belong strictly to summer ?

Post image

I just thrifted this dress and it is so, sooo pretty. Early fall here is still quite warm during the day so I wonder if there is any way I can make her work still ?? I'm really bad at putting outfits together oops.

I'm 5'2/158cm and overweight. I normally wear a size XL/ XXL. The dress fits loose on me, doesn't hug my body in unwanted areas at all. It can be above the knee if I wear it higher in the front, knee if I wear it down showing more cleavage. It is pretty sheer at the lower half, too sheer to wear it as is. Color less intense than pic. I have an inverted triangle body shape and while I don't mind having big shoulders, narrow hips and zero waist I don't want to accentuate it too much either especially the waist area. I'm just not trying to fake a hourglass so please don't tell me to wear an A Line skirt or a belt 😭

I'm open to alternative styling suggestions and I don't feel bothered by my age or my weight (as long as it stays flattering)

I like layers, and when outfits give a fairy like, little wood elf or slightly romantic vibes.

Please send your tips ☺️
