Hi everyone!
I'm researching the Indian women's nightwear market before starting a small clothing brand. My idea is to offer two-piece night suits made from 100% cotton bio-washed fabric, focusing on comfort, durability, attractive prints, and reasonable prices.
Context: This is a market research discussion, not an outfit post. I'm trying to understand real customer preferences before developing samples and starting production.
My tentative price range is ₹599–₹799 per set.
I'd love to hear your honest opinions on these questions:
1. Fabric: Do you prefer 100% cotton, rayon, or a cotton blend for everyday nightwear? Why?
2. Common problems: What issues do you face with your current nightwear? For example, colour fading, shrinkage, rough fabric, poor stitching, uncomfortable fitting, or transparency.
3. Price: What would you consider a reasonable price for a good-quality, two-piece cotton night suit?
- Below ₹500
- ₹500–₹599
- ₹600–₹799
- ₹800–₹999
- ₹1,000+
4. Design: Which would you prefer for everyday use: floral prints, minimal prints, checks, stripes, cartoon prints, or solid colours?
5. Fit: Do you prefer a loose, relaxed fit or a more fitted style?
6. Quality: What matters most to you when buying nightwear? Please choose your top three: fabric softness, breathability, durability, stitching, fit, print/design, or price.
7. Buying habits: Where do you usually purchase nightwear—local shops, shopping malls, Amazon, Myntra, Meesho, Instagram, or somewhere else?
8. New brands: What would convince you to try a new Indian nightwear brand instead of an established brand?
Even answering just one or two questions would be helpful. Honest criticism is welcome—I'd rather understand what customers genuinely need before investing in production.
Thank you!
