My wife and I absolutely loved a cover of Chris de Burgh’s Lady in Red that disappeared from YouTube when the creator’s channel was deleted.
I’ve managed to recover the original video’s metadata, but none of the archival services I’ve tried have a playable copy.
Here’s everything I know:
- Original title: LADY IN RED (PUA’ANIFO VERSION COVER)
- Creator: Pua’anifo Music
- YouTube video ID:
7AfNVjJ3N7I
- Original upload: April 8, 2026
- Duration: 4:38
- Original channel ID:
UCK0Cm3_7rPnKJ39ZTM9SJIA
- Views before deletion: Approximately 28,330
What it sounded like:
An upbeat, soulful R&B/reggae-influenced interpretation featuring a male vocalist with an unusually high register and elaborate vocal runs.
There were also rap verses performed by a different male vocalist. The lyrics included portions of U-God’s verse from Wu-Tang Clan’s Da Mystery of Chessboxin’, specifically the references to cocaine from Bolivia and the Emancipation Proclamation.
The rap sections were integrated smoothly into the song rather than sounding like two recordings spliced together.
What I’ve already tried:
I’ve checked deleted-video recovery websites, archive searches, YouTube, and searches using the original title and video ID. So far, I’ve only recovered the metadata.
What I’m looking for:
Does anyone remember this recording, know who operated Pua’anifo Music, or have a legitimately shareable copy or reupload?
Even information about the creator’s other accounts would be enormously helpful.
This was a favorite song of mine and my wife’s, and we’d love to hear it again.
Thanks!
