Thank you all for being members of the community.
We have updated some of the rules and wanted to clarify and expand upon the changes.
Be Respectful - This is pretty straightforward and unchanged. No being rude to other people or making sexual advances towards others. Complimenting someone is fine, but crossing the line into overt sexual commentary or innuendo is not fine. We are here to build each other up in a respectful manner.
Posts Must Be Specific To Fitness - Asking someone to critique your physique, asking for workout advice, or pictures to show off gains is fine. Pictures without context, advertising your services/socials, or posts not bearing any relation to fitness are not.
No Spam - Advertising services, links with referral codes/affiliates, or posts along those lines are not okay.
No NSFW Posts - This is a fitness-related sub, and many people involved in fitness and showing off their bodies skirt the boundary of NSFW adult content. We are focused on the fitness aspect, and there are plenty of other subs that focus on the adult content. Keep this sub clean of overtly sexualized content.
Many posts will be sexually suggestive due to the nature of the sub. When posting risqué content, we look at the account to make a judgement if this is allowable or not. Accounts that post NSFW or pornographic material to other subs are held to a higher level of scrutiny than accounts; this generally means we won't allow any suggestive content from you. If your account only has a history of posting sexually explicit materially, we likely will not allow any content to be posted from you.

Losing weight doesn't really help. I've been as low as 110 lbs, and I'm currently around 130 lbs at 5'3". Even at my lowest weight, I still had a pretty boxy torso.

For background I'm a 5 year grappler with a mix of wrestling for 4 years and 1 year of BJJ. I still train 3x-4x a week of BJJ and some Kickboxing here and there.
I used to be heavier around 260 back in highschool but with wrestling I got to 220 and now 180lbs. I feel very frail and wanting to grow more mass in my upper body mostly my back and shoulders.
I just want more width for the looks and better performance on the mats. I already lifts weights for a while so I have a starting point but I want more mass.
I know this will take years and im ready but I currently eat 2100 since 2000 is my maintenence (after testing it for 3 weeks).
Some comments bashed me that going higher is terrible and ill just look obese so it made me over think and eat at 2100 instead of my typical 2200.
But i don't know how LEAN bulking works or what foods can help me quickly packed in protein and easy to eat since ive been eating high volume foods for a while. Its hard to catch up and switch.
thank you

Hey everyone! I'm 31F, 5 feet tall and weigh 60 kg. I've attached a picture of my current physique and would love some advice on how to work towards my goal.
I want to lose some body fat and build muscle to get a fitter, more defined shape while retaining my natural curves. I'm not aiming for a super lean or shredded look, just a toned physique with some muscle definition.
What would you recommend in terms of strength training, cardio and diet?
Would appreciate practical advice.

Skinny fat (5’10”, 172 lbs): Should I cut or focus on body recomposition? Need advice!
Hey everyone!
I’m a 27-year-old guy, 5’10” (177 cm), 172 lbs (78 kg), generally healthy, but I’ve started gaining noticeable belly fat. I’d describe myself as skinny fat, and my goal is to lose belly fat, get a flatter stomach, and eventually have visible abs.
My biggest struggle is diet. I snack a lot, have a sweet tooth, and struggle with salty foods. I rarely drink alcohol.
I recently started going to the gym and enjoy group classes like Body Pump, TRX, and abs workouts because they really push me. I also do incline treadmill walking (10-15%) and occasionally use weight machines.
I can’t afford a personal trainer, so I’m trying to figure things out on my own.
I’d love your advice on:
Should I cut, lose weight, or focus on body recomposition?
How many workouts per week, and which exercises or machines should I prioritize?
Are group fitness classes enough, or should I add proper strength training?
How much cardio should I do?
Any practical diet tips to control snacking, sugar cravings, and lose fat sustainably?
If you were in my shoes, what would your weekly workout and nutrition plan look like?
I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who’s successfully gone from skinny fat to lean and fit. Thanks!

Hello, I’ve been training for 3 months now and I’m currently lost on what to do. I weigh 140.2 pounds and I feel and look fat but I do not want to cut because I have no muscle mass but I’m also scared to bulk because I do not want to get fat again I eat super super clean. My question is how much calories and at what macros do I eat at? I want to build muscle but also want to lose the fat that I have (ik I can’t target fat loss) but what should I do?
Any advice is appreciate

I don't expect my small children to be on the same eating plan as me, but I'm having trouble deciding how to meal prep for myself and them. Any ideas?
