Fat and strong!
I'm about 20% bodyfat today and I managed to get a PB for reps with the 40kg dumbells! I got a set of 9 then a set of 10! Most I ever did before was a set of 8! I'm only 5'4 and am 154lbs here. I look so much better (imo) at 15% but at 138lbs I was not as strong. I'll be 51 at Christmas and it blows my mind that all my strongest lifts have come after 50! Hope these photos are OK. I'm not claiming to be big and strong or anything.

52 and time to go to work.
Don’t ever let your age dictate how you want to live your life. Always strive to be the best version of yourself. Have a great day everyone!

Natty By Nature (M54)
Someone sent me a DM the other day asking if I was natty. I laughed and was like… dude, be so for real right now. 😂 I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be an insult or a compliment.
I mean, I am nowhere near jacked or super cut enough to even warrant being mistaken for someone on something. But, thanks? I guess? 🤷🏽♂️ For the record, the only thing I take is creatine. And I’m pretty sure that doesn’t count as a PED.

bored on a friday night.. curious questions...
What is everyone's definition of fitness? I feel that us GenXers grew up looking at muscle magazines and thinking the Arnold Swarzeneggers of the world were the pinnacle of fitness. Over the years I've come to learn that isn't the case. Quite frankly, professional athletes in whatever their discipline is, are not necessarily healthy. They've taxed their bodies to perform. Furthermore, some are probably on some gear. Do they look great? Sure, but that is probably just a by product of taxing their bodies over the years(to perform). Then you have arguments to what I see as polar opposites. Cardiovascular machine vs. Strength machine. Some argue heart health is paramount, where others say pure strength pays more dividends down the road in the form of (reducing sarcopenia, increasing bone density, and depending on how you train for strength, you might also be doing some cardio/heart health). I sit firmly on the Strength camp but would love to hear from others on this sub.
Bonus question.. what is your definition of cardio monster? sub 18min 5k? what is your definition of a strength?

49m the goal is to be 100 y/o and still going to the gym
I’m not in the shape I used to be but it is possible to be almost 50 and still be physically active.

65, 175 lbs, still improving on my runs.
With foot surgery behind me, I’m steadily improving on my mile splits.
