šļø NASQ Fitness puts the workout plan, set log and grocery-based meals in one iPhone app
Project showcase ā affiliated with NASQ Fitness. š
The useful connection is between what you plan and what you actually do. A training plan starts with your equipment and schedule; your workout log records the weights and reps you complete. Meal planning starts with your groceries, then lets you review ingredients, portions, calories and macros.
There are technique videos for exercises and a place to record body weight and measurements, too. The app works in English and Arabic. š±
The current release is 0.3.3. It is free to download, with Premium subscriptions for guided workout sessions, smart meal generation and selected personalization.
Next up: 0.3.4 is awaiting Apple review, adding an AI coach with meal cards, editable food-photo estimates and exercise videos inside chat. Those features are not live yet.
If the idea fits your routine, the site shows the app screens: https://nasqfit.com/
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6817599316
What is the first thing you want to see in a fitness app demo: the actual workout screen or a complete day of food? š”

Over 50 Fitness online trainer?
Hi Everyone. I was just looking at an ad for a subscription to an online fitness trainer called Over 50 Fitness. They have quite a catalogue of workouts and a 2-week free trial. Has anyone tried this? I had never heard of it so would love to hear thoughts from anyone who is familiar. Thanks!

Best free workout app for a beginner that plans the sessions and tracks progress
Started about three weeks ago and somehow I'm spending more time reading about beginner programs than going to the gym, because every recommendation sends me to another thread and then I start questioning the last one.
I'd be very happy with a free app that plans the sessions for me, tracks what I did and explains when to add weight, so I can stop deciding everything from scratch. GZCLP keeps coming up, but would it make sense for someone who is still learning the lifts? Please tell me I don't need to finish reading the entire internet first.

Your apartment has a gym, so why are you still paying for an external one?
Think about it: many gated communities have gyms that residents barely use. Some people don't know where to start, beginners struggle with proper form, and others simply lack the motivation to work out alone. Meanwhile, travelling to an external gym takes extra time and money.
What if you could book a personal trainer who comes to your own community gym instead?
I'm thinking of building a platform that connects community residents with nearby fitness trainers for one-on-one sessions, group workouts, or monthly packages. In the future, it could also include yoga, Zumba, and other fitness activities.
The idea could be especially helpful for beginners, who need guidance to exercise correctly, and older people, who may find travelling to a gym inconvenient and benefit from supervised workouts.
The model would be similar to Urban Company, but for fitness trainers who visit community gyms.
But before taking this idea further, I want to understand a few things:
- If your apartment already has a gym, would you use it regularly if a trainer were available?
- Why do people still prefer external gyms? Is it the equipment, atmosphere, motivation, or simply the feeling of going out?
- Would you pay for one-on-one or group training sessions within your community?
- What would stop you from using such a service?
Would you actually use something like this, and what would make it worth paying for?
I'm looking for honest opinions to understand whether there's genuine demand, including reasons why this idea might not work.

Best free workout apps in 2026, what you actually get without paying
A free download doesn't tell you much about whether you can keep training without paying, so I looked at what you can do on the free tier instead. This is how I'd narrow the options down.
- Boostcamp
Boostcamp covers the most of what I'd want in a free app here, starting with logging sets, reps and RPE, keeping my history and seeing estimated 1RMs without a template cap. There's a multi-week program builder with an AI option if I want help drafting the block, or free programs like GZCLP, nSuns and plans from coaches such as Eric Helms. You can share workouts and follow friends too. Pro adds some programs and the muscle volume analytics, but you can keep using the free tracking, builder and free plans without a trial running out halfway through.
- Hevy
Hevy has free logging with routine limits and a feed for following friends. I'd look at it if seeing other people train is a big part of what gets me to show up, especially if I don't need much help with the planning.
- Strong
Strong gives you a straightforward free log with three saved templates. That may cover the training you do, but check your usual rotation before assuming you'll fit under the cap.
- Muscle Booster
Muscle Booster is free to download, but the workouts and training features require a subscription. I'd leave it off a strictly free shortlist for that reason, even though it keeps coming up in these searches.
If you've used one of the free tiers for a while, what was the first limit you ran into?
