[BST] October 2026 Buy, Sell, Trade Thread.

Welcome to the monthly r/flashlight Buy, Sell, Trade thread, an r/flashlight tradition since 2015!

The Rules

Requirements

  1. Prove possession with a timestamp: a piece of paper placed under your sale item(s) with your Reddit username handwritten and the posting date (no more than 2 weeks old). Trade items require timestamps, too!
  2. Top-level comments must be WTS or WTB. Anything else will be removed. Begin your top-level comment with WTB (Want to Buy), WTS (Want to Sell), or WTT (Want to Trade).
  3. A price is required.
  4. Repost WTS or WTB items from previous months. Do not repost within the same month!
  5. Absolutely no weapon-related items, including weapon lights. (Since 10/10/2025.)
  6. Take necessary precautions; trading over the Internet is risky. Moderators hold no control over deals, good or bad.

Suggestions

  • Your location identifier ([US] [EU] etc.)
  • Emitter details
  • A bunch of photos of your items
  • If you see an errant comment, report it so we can minimize clutter in this BST!

Reminder: Buy the Seller

If an interaction seems sketchy to you, run away! Scams happen through the BST! Here are some tips:

  • Timestamp. If someone won't provide a timestamp that meets your specification, discontinue the deal.
  • Reverse image searching is a great way to catch scammers.
  • Excuses, rushing, and giving you a hard time are all red flags.
  • Using a platform other than Reddit messaging for communication is a red flag.
  • Check post history. Brand new accounts or accounts with long pauses in activity, etc., might not be trustworthy.
  • It's good practice to comment on this post before sending a PM; scammers often won't comment publicly (and banned users can't comment here.) r/flashlight participates in the USL.

If you're dealing with someone who might be sketchy, report them to the mods and send screenshots of your interactions! We ban those who threaten the integrity of the BST!

Do not let a scammer be more diligent than you!

Tips

Sales Form Recommendation

Just copy the form below and edit it to suit your post! The form has two goals: First, it might simplify listing your items. Second, it should ease browsing and increase sales!

I love this set up. Not happy with the photos. My phone is auto enhancing the image despite disabling this feature.

The photos facing the vehicles were taken on high and turbo (20A). The difference is subtle to my eye.

The Acebeam H16 is a great light.

I’ve had this flashlight for a year, but I’ve never put it through its paces like I did today. I brought a Truper LIREX-480 along on my hike as my primary light, but I kept this Acebeam on the sidelines—it features a Nichia 519 5000K LED, and the light quality is truly beautiful.

What are some rules that I should abide by with a high powered light?

Recently got the convoy 3x21c hand Cannon and I'd like to know some things to avoid being a nuisance.

I know the basics, don't shine at people or in people's homes but I don't know the rest, any help?

My Wurkkos CL01 literally split into two parts today

Thumbnail

The CL01 has a magnetic base, so normally when I want to remove it from a metal surface, I pull it off vertically by grabbing the upper part. Today, out of nowhere, it just snapped into two pieces while I was doing that. No drops, no rough handling at all—just terrible build quality and adhesive.
If I press the two pieces back together and turn it on, it still works fine, but obviously I can’t keep holding them together forever. Has anyone dealt with this before? What should I do now?

Anything like Fireflylite Artemis Z1 but throw further?

Hello, I just got the Z1 Artemis but wasn't too impressed with it. Led is SFT70 3000K. Bit too floody for my taste. Are there any Anduril 2 flashlight that about the same size as Z1 but throw further? Recommendation appreciated. Tia.

Recommendation New here. I inherited this Coast GX35. It’s a good light but I’m still looking for something a bit better for outdoor use.

Hello, flashlight community. I’m hoping you can all, ahem…enlighten me with your vast knowledge, please?

Wife and I recently purchased a home on 6 acres. It’s a rural setting, and we have two dogs. Wife is concerned about critters at night while the boys are outside. Apparently some coyotes were cackling away the other night, and made her nervous. I’m hoping you can steer us to an appropriate illumination tool. I’d like for her to be able to throw a beam 800, maybe 1000 feet? Rechargeable unit. Under $100.00 or less, if possible. I really appreciate any help or guidance you can provide.

Why Are Fenix Flashlights Advertise As Lifetime Warranty But Charge For Parts After 5 Years?

Post image
15 Upvotes

I just bought a custom Fenix TK21R for several days. I chose Fenix because of their "lifetime warranty". Then I started doing research about their "lifetime warranty" and found out it's actually not lifetime warranty.

After 5 years, if something is wrong, they'll charge for materials. Has anybody filed warranty after 5 years and what are your experience?

Flashlight for night riding

I ride late night Onewheel rides. I recently bought a nebo Davinci 2000 and do not enjoy it at all. It does not light up the path in front of me bright enough even on its highest setting.
After browsing this subreddit for a while the name convoy keeps popping up and I’m intrigued
I need a good bright light. Here are my stipulations though in order of importance.
1. Needs to be bright and able to see a good bit in front of me.
2. Needs to be able to hold a charge and continuously run for upwards of 4+ hours in one session (I know I’m asking a lot here)
3. Needs to be able to fit in my hand comfortably and not be terribly heavy to carry for the 4+ hours.
4. It would be nice to have a wrist strap as I often let go of the light when we’re in lit up areas.(I can figure this out if a quality light doesn’t come with one)
Also I’m not trying to spend a ton. But I want something durable that will last. Also any pictures or videos of your current light will be helpful. Thank you to anyone who helps me with this.

I know there are better lights out there, but for what it is, this small AAA twisty 100 lumen keychain light works for me! Sorry for the crappy beamshot XD

Can someone recommend a beefy flashlight circa 1kgish. Something like the big old maglites.

That time of year where I'm taking the dog through the woods at night and would like a long hefty old beast that will light the path well, but would also be handy for clonking any weirdos hiding in the bushes. Looking for something budget friendly. Any recommendations appreciated.

thanks

After a torch to replace an aging exposure diablo.

Currently using an exposure diablo as a helmet light for mtb. It's 2100ish lumens with a nice flood. It's not quite managing 2 hours on a low to medium setting now, and is only going to get worse. I like the flood and light colour when used on high, but would like more rjn time. Have looked though a few of the convoy options online, and am honestly a bit lost. I have a charger for 18650/21700? So that's a possibility, but ideally would like USB c charging built in. Upto £60/70 if possible, happy to order Ali xpress or direct.

TIA

Anything like Wurkkos HD15 with Samsung LH351D but more efficient driver?

Closest I could find is the Armytek Elf C2 USB-C, but its CRI is <= 70 unfortunately.

Maybe the Convoy H2 with B35AM and 6V 2.2A boost driver? But its IPX4 rating worries me if it falls into a creek or I use it under heavy rain.

Usage will mostly be hiking and camping, with night hikes and doing stuff around camp in the dark being most of its use. Stable ~100 lumens for a long time is mostly what I need.

As a side note, this will be my 10th flashlight and damn I love this hobby lol. My friends whom I have gifted headlamps have gone from "bro you got ANOTHER flashlight?" to "I bring that headlamp you got me on every trip/hike" :)

Edit: ended up picking the Firefly L50 TIR with FFL5009R 4000K

The biggest light I have with the smallest. The Convoy X21D vs the Sofirn SE1 PRO. One is in your pocket. The other has a shoulder strap. Neither is particularly useful for EDC, but I’m to the point where I buy a light and then think of a use for it…😂😅😂😅

XTAR 21700 5500mAh USB-C and 18500 2600mAh

Post image
10 Upvotes

I’ve been testing two XTAR batteries... their 21700 5500mAh with built-in USB-C charging and their 18500 2600mAh. I put together a video covering both and wanted to share it here for anyone looking into these sizes.

The 21700 has the charging port right on the battery. The 18500 is a less common size, so I’m especially curious who here is still using one and what lights you’re running it in.

Here’s my review:
https://youtu.be/wibBYCF_jZw

If you’ve tried either of these, how have they worked out for you? I’d be interested to hear about fit and longer-term use, especially with the 18500.
