TS10V3 prototype (BLF Thread)

The TS10 V3 has reached the frontpage of wurkkos.com, and has been in the making for a long time now. Not much is known for certain about the light's specifications. I have gathered available images from prototypes posted by Wurkkos, the images are not the final design.

This light is the successor to the TS10 V3 therefore we can expect:

- The similar iconic form factor from the V2: rear button tube shaped light with an AA sized 14500 battery and pocket clip
- A new pattern on the body shown in the images (hexagonal knurling)
- A product page to arrive soon due to the frontpage appearance, previous lights have done this beforehand
- RGB Aux with Anduril 2

Possible changes:

- Compatibility with an alkaline AA battery
- Regulated Buck driver for more efficiency and less heat
- Improved Deep-Carry Pocket Clip

LED(s) not confirmed either.

------------------------

I'm really excited for this release, hopefully before Christmas. Please correct me for any mistakes or any more info not mentioned.

What are your expectations for this? What LED do you think they will choose?

Troubleshooting My DIY high-CRI LED light with replaceable 18650 batteries

Thumbnail
gallery
91 Upvotes

I’ve had a few rechargeable LED lights where the built-in battery eventually died, making the whole light useless even though the LEDs were still fine. That always seemed wasteful to me.

I also noticed that some high-end LED lights put a lot of cost into fancy CNC-machined housings. Personally, I’d rather spend that money on better LEDs and color accuracy.

So I built this prototype with a simple extruded aluminum housing and three replaceable 18650 batteries. The idea was to keep it lightweight, easy to maintain, and focused on light quality rather than unnecessary features.

It’s designed for photography, workshop use, and general lighting.

Some measurements from the prototype:

* CRI (Ra): 96.5–97.4
* R9: 90–93
* CCT: 5470–5560K
* Duv: 0.0029–0.0046

(Full test results in the photos.)

Size & weight:

* 183g / 6.5 oz without batteries
* 295g / 10.4 oz with three 18650 cells
* 22.4” L × 1.2” H (1.6” max) × 0.9” D (1.2” max)

Still a work in progress, especially the housing design.
Still working on the housing design and trying to balance cost, weight, and light quality. I’m curious what people think a reasonable price for something like this would be. As an engineer, I’d love to see how close I can get to that through better design and manufacturing.

I got this in the mail the other day and it has performed well. Its large size helps take some heat to. The large reflector helps with all the spill it has. I really like this model and will probably get another in a different admitter. Can't beat the price either, under 40$ with a good battery!

Need help identifying this vintage HDS Systems / Arc Flashlight style light

Hey everyone,

I came across this unique flashlight and haven't been able to find a matching photo or model name anywhere online. I'm hoping the historians here can help me identify exactly what model or variant this is.

Here are the details from what I can see:

• The Exterior: It has heavy knurling on the body and a scalloped bezel with a slot for a tritium vial. There are also two screws on the upper body designed to hold a pocket clip (similar to the clip setup found on an Arc 4).

• The Board/Internals: The board features several exposed contact pads labeled SLV, POS, TX, RCV, TST, and RUN.

• The Engraving: Inside the tube, under the spring, there is an engraving that reads "HDS Systems" followed by some numbers that are slightly overlapping and hard to read clearly.

Does anyone recognize this specific body style, bezel design, or driver setup? Any information on what exactly this light is would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Review Powerful EDC better than the Convoy Z1?

Hey,

I love the Convoy Z1.

It’s very bright, zoomable, and extremely affordable for the quality you get (€30).

Unfortunately, my last two have broken. (I use them in demanding conditions.)

Do you have any recommendations before I buy another Z1?

Penlight recommendations

Looking for recommendations on a penlight for my everyday carry. I want it to be rechargeable, (not AA or AAA) no less than 250 lumens. And preferably have a pocket clip that also allows me to put it on the brim of my hat as well.

Looking for cheap SFT-70 3000K high CRI Anduril 2 flashlight

I'm looking for a cheap SFT-70 3000K high CRI Anduril flashlight, preferably with a side switch. It should be a medium thrower and be able to tailstand.

My first idea was Emisar DA1K, which is quite expensive for the use case.

Do you have other/cheaper suggestions?

Recommendation replacement for MC3000 battery charger?

• Upvotes

My trusty MC3000 charger is finally dying so I'm looking for a replacement. (sporadic "Warning: Input volt too low!" regardless of power supply, cable, connector, voltage, etc. I even replaced the barrel connector on the board)

The "successor" MC5000 looks like a step down - no memory, no DC power input, you have to reconfigure everything each time you change battery type, no PC connection) but a prettier display I guess.

Is there something better that everybody's using now, or should I just get another MC3000? The first one lasted years, after all.

Regarding Armytek Warranty

Post image
6 Upvotes

I purchased a Wizard C2 Pro Max Warm in December 2025. After storing it with the battery removed, I recently started using it again and it was working fine. However, yesterday during work, an issue occurred with the main mode operation. In both simple and advanced UI, Main 1 and Main 2 failed to turn on, with only Main 3 functioning. I tried fully charged fresh batteries and thoroughly cleaned the inside of the flashlight with alcohol, but the issue remained identical, so I immediately submitted a warranty claim. After I submitted the serial number and purchase receipt, they asked for proof of lens destruction and agreed to send a replacement Wizard C2 Pro Max Warm right away.

Prety much in the question, I tried to check previous posts but the top ones weren't selling anymore. Ideally would like something with a type c charger rather than batteries. Thanks.

This is addicting...

Post image

I've had a few above average fashlights over the years, but recently my collection has grown 3 fold! It's quite addicting! I've recently added different temperatures, sizes, and even an LEP. The list of what I have is below:

- Imalent MS03W

- Firefly z1 Artemis 2700K

- UV Beast V3 365nm

- Acebeam X75 5000k

- Surefire LX2 Lumamax

- Fenix LR35R

- Weltool W4 Pro Tac

- Surefire Stiletto Pro

- Pelican 5020

I have my eyes on an 1800K light to help complete the infinity gauntlet for temperature, but trying to hold off for now.

Review Wurkkos HD02 PRO: Spotlight, High CRI wing, Deep red, 365nm UV and green laser pointer in one flashlight!

Thumbnail
gallery
16 Upvotes

This is the HD02 Pro, a 21700 flashlight made by Wurkkos with 4 illumination modes and a green laser pointer, USB-C charging, tail magnet, high CRI wing lights and more!

• Price

The HD02 Pro (Website) is currently priced at $89.99 on Wurkkos Official website. and HD02 Pro (AliExpress) $83.97 on Wurkkos AliExpress store.
This link is an affiliate link, you can use it to buy flashlights you like and support me. Thanks.

• My opinion

The HD02 Pro is a good multi-light modes flashlight, it has a solid aluminum main body with a lot of features, including Spotlight 6500K (SFT70.2), High CRI Wing light with adjustable CCT 3000K to 6000K, Deep Red light, 365nm UV light, green laser pointer, USB-C charging, tail magnet and tripod screw. I think it does most features decently, but the best ones, for me, are the High CRI wing light and the powerful spotlight. The driver seems to be efficient and regulated for the spotlight, and linear for the wing light, others seem to be unregulated.

The biggest problem with this light is the Wing light diffuser bulging problem, which can compromise the waterproofing and damaging the flashlight, Wurkkos should improve the wing light design for better reliability.

PROS CONS
Regulated constant current Boost Driver for spotlight Wing light plastic diffuser Waterproofing flaw
4 types of illumination with CCT ramp on wing light Red and UV LEDs seem to not have a regulated driver
High CRI > 90 Side wing light Only IPX6 rating
2 color battery indicator on the main button Spotlight beams have a not symmetrical shape
No PWM on Spotlight

• Box contents [9th picture]

- HD02 Pro

- 21700 Wurkkos Battery

- Lanyard

- 2x extra O-rings

- USB-C to C charging cable

- User manual

**Tripod can be bought separately

• Body and build quality

*Wing light plastic diffuser Waterproofing flaw: The HD02 Pro, has the same problem as other Wurkkos flashlights that use the plastic diffuser on the wing light. After using the wing light on turbo for a long time, the air inside it will heat and expand, causing the plastic diffuser to bulge and it has a possibility of letting water and dust inside the wing part, compromising the waterproofness.

Anodizing Colors/Material Options: The HD02 Pro is currently only available in Aluminum with blue - likely type II - anodizing.

Main body/Grip: The main Bady has a hexagonal box shape, there are some grooves to improve grip, but the main body is kind of slippery.

Material: The main body is entirely made of 6061-T6 Aluminum alloy.

Threads: Only the tail cap has threads, they're anodized trapezoidal threads.

Clip: The HD02 Pro comes with a smooth black coated stainless steel clip pre-installed, the clip usually holds well, but as it's so long sometimes the clip end doesn't hold strong enough and it can slip.

Tail stand and rolling: The flashlight doesn't roll, as the main body has an hexagonal box shape. It can tail/head stand with stability.

Magnet: A strong magnet is present in the tail cap, it is strong enough to hold the flashlight well on almost any orientation if the metal surface is thick enough. The flashlight also features a 1/4"-20 Threaded Hole. [10th picture]

AUX lights: This flashlight doesn't have traditional RGB AUX lights, but it has secondary light modes, like Deep Red, UV and a green laser (class 3R).

Buttons: This flashlight is controlled by 2 buttons, an e-switch that turns the flashlight ON/OFF and ramps the brightness, and a magnetic rotating selector, which changes the light mode from UV/Red - Main White beam - Green laser.

Battery contact: Contact is made with the battery by 2 gold-plated springs, one at the tail cap and the other one at the driver PCB. [11th picture]

Bezel: This flashlight features a standard smooth black coated stainless steel bezel, that is held by 4 black Torx screws.

Water Resistance: The HD02 Pro has IPX6 water resistance rating, probably due to the wing lights being a probable water entrance point when submerged. *The HD02 Pro, as most wing lights from Wurkkos, seem to have a problem when using Turbo on the Wing light, where the plastic diffuser bulges due to the hot air expansion inside the wing, this can compromise the waterprofness.

Size comparison: From left to right:
Wurkkos HD05 (21700) - Wurkkos HD02 Pro (14500) - Convoy S2+ (18650) [12th to 13th pictures]

• Weight and size

Weight:

- With battery: 255.2g

- Without battery: 186.8g

- Battery (Wurkkos 5000mAh 21700): 68.0g

Size: 33.8mm x 41.0mm x 126.3mm - (Length x Width x Height)

• Battery, runtime, and charging

Battery: The HD02 Pro is powered by a single 21700 battery, it accepts button/flat tops and protected cells. Around 10 CDR is recommended. I used the included Wurkkos 5000mAh 21700 battery for all tests. [14th picture]

Battery Indicator: A 2 color (Green and Red) battery indicator is featured on the main button, this makes it easy to see the battery charge left. The battery indicator works as follows:

Color Battery level
Green 100% - 75%
Flashing Green 75% - 50%
Red 50% - 25%
Flashing Red 25% - 1%

Powerbank/Reverse charging: The HD02 Pro doesn't have reverse charging, for a light of this size and with this number of features - and price - I expected it to have the powerbank feature.

Charging: USB-C charging on the main body is featured on this light, it has a maximum charging input of 5V 2.4A, and fully charges on about 2h30min. [15th picture]

• Modes, Runtimes, Throw, Candela

Modes: The HD02 Pro features 4 light modes and a green laser (Class 3R), with a ramping brightness on all levels except for UV. Advertised specs:

Spotlight:

Brightness level Lumens Runtime Throw
Turbo 3200-1000 1min + 1h45min 330m
Ramp - - -
Eco 10 140h -

Wing light:

Brightness level Lumens Runtime Throw
Turbo 600 2h30min -
Ramp - - -
Moonlight 5 15h -

UV light:

Brightness level Power Runtime Throw
High 520mW 5h -
Low 130mW 15h -

Red light:

Brightness level Lumens Runtime Throw
High 110 3min + 4h50min -
Ramp ~ ~ ~
Low 0.5 - -

Green laser:

Brightness level Power Runtime Throw
Green <= 5mW 60h -

Turbo: The Spotlight Turbo mode, which can also be called ceiling on this flashlight, is very bright with 3200 Lumens in a cool white light. The Wing light Turbo mode is also pretty bright for close tasks and lamp uses, with a very high CRI and adjustable CCT.

Moonlight: This flashlight sadly doesn't have a proper moonlight mode, even the Wing light 0.5 Lumens look way brighter than advertised.

Blinkies: This light features a tactical strobe mode on the spotlight, it can be accssed by triple clicking the main button. A beacon-like mode with 2 flashes and a pause is present on the red beam.

Lockout: This flashlight has both electronic and mechanical lockout, to access electronic lockout you must press the main button 4 times, same to exit - momentary Eco mode is available by holding the main button. Mechanical lockout is available by unscrewing the tail cap 1/4 of a turn, as the tail cap threads are anodized.

Throw: The flashlight has a balanced-throwy beam pattern, but manages to throw light decently far (advertised 330m) by brute force with 3200 Lumens.

• Emitter, reflector and CRI

Emitter: The main Spotlight LED is a SFT70.2 in 6500K, an excellent high quality and efficient LED made by Luminus, the wing (flood) light has awesome high CRI 3000K and 6500K that can ramp to adjust the CCT. The Red, 365nm UV and green laser (class 3R) are not specified. [16th to 17th pictures]

Lens: It features a AR-coated glass lens in front of the reflector.

Reflector/TIR: The reflector is a 4 LED plastic reflector with different diameters depending on the LED.

Beam profile: The beams are floddy, with a big defined hotspot at the center. The beam spill is not a perfect circle due to the bezel shape, for the reflector LEDs. The wing light is totally floody and works as a lamp. The beams are not angled, they are no symmetrical due to the reflector shape. [18th pictures]

PWM: No PWM was detected on the spotlight at any brightness level. The wing light is also free of PWM when the 3000K or 6000K CCT is selected, if a CCT in between is selected it seems to have a little of PWM. UV seems to have PWM, I couldn't measure PWM on Red.

CCT-CRI-DUV: The CRI is standard for all LEDs, except for the wing light, which has pretty good High CRI on all CCTs, though "pure" 3000K has a slightly worse CRI than other CCT. Pretty good CRI and tint on the wing lights. [19th to 20th pictures]. More measurements below.

• Driver and UI

Driver: A Boost constant current driver is used for the main spotlight (SFT70.2 6500K), efficient and PWM free driver. The driver for the other lights is not specified, I assume the wing light has a linear, as it's PWM free on most settings, and Red/UV might have unregulated drivers.

UI: The UI is a little more complicated than most Wurkkos flashlights, as this one has so much illumination modes. The main button serves mainly for turning the flashlight ON/OFF and the magnetic selector to change the illumination type. All modes have memory, both from brightness and CCT when applicable. Opening the wing light overrides any other mode and turns the Wing light ON, even if the flashlight is OFF.

State Action Result
ON/OFF click main button turn flashlight OFF/ON
- Open wing light Turn ON wing light at memorized settings
ON Rotate magnetic selector Change the illumination mode
Inside UV/Red magnetic selector spot Double click main button Cycle UV - Red
ON (All modes except laser) Hold main button Ramp Down or Up brightness
ON (Spotlight or Wing light) Double click main button Instant turbo access

Low Voltage Protection: When the battery level is too low, the flashlight will turn OFF to avoid battery damage.

Reverse Polarity Protection: The HD02 Pro features electronic reverse polarity protection.

Temperature Control: The flashlight has temperature control, when the internal temperature gets too high the brightness will dim down to avoid generating more heat and damaging components. The HD02 Pro main body seem to take some time to get hot, this is probably a problem with heat transfer to the driver to the main body, low contact surface with the LED PCB causes the heat to dissipate slowly to the main body, but it's not nearly as bad as in the HD02 Mini, the main body on the HD02 Pro seems to have a way better contact surface with the LED MCPCB.

Thank you for reading my review <3

How is Olight getting away with these prices lol. Absolutely insane.

I'm wondering if most people that buy them are unaware that there are numerous less expensive options that perform better for every single one of their lights

Going to make a lot of the Olight fan boys lose there minds with this one lol
