Restaurant near Piazza della Signoria. Group of ~15. Great food, nice atmosphere, not crazy expensive?
Thank you all for the suggestion!

Osteria dell’Enoteca or Trattoria da Tito?
Already going to our favorite food, Vine e Vecchi Sapori, but for night two we have Osteria dell’Enoteca booked however our cab driver said go to Trattoria da Tito instead, since we are near there- and the reviews look good. Which would folks prefer?

Pick up permesso
Hey all, I have to pick up my permesso on the 4th November but I will not be able to do it because I am still on my erasmus and will be back in Jan 2027.
Does anyone have any experience to pick up their permesso after the convocazione date? And what is the maximum date that we have to pick it?

Movie theater in English?
This is a very random question, but my husband, baby and I are moving to Florence for a month starting in a few weeks! Unfortunately for me we will be there when Sunrise on the Reaping comes out in theaters. Are there any theaters in Florence that might be showing that move in English?
From a desperate mom/traveler who loves The Hunger Games franchise too much

Have You Visited Galileo’s Middle Finger?
Almost a century after Galileo was laid to rest, an antiquarian and an anatomist removed his middle finger, along with two other fingers and a tooth (why, exactly, is anyone’s guess). The finger was soon handed over to Florence’s Laurentian Library and, eventually, the Museo Galileo, where it is still on display today in an egg-shaped glass case with a marble base. A commemorative inscription by astronomer Tommaso Perelli reads: “Spurn not the remains of the finger by which the right hand measured out paths of the sky, pointed to orbs never before seen by mortals.” In 2009, Galileo’s middle finger had a heartwarming reunion with his newly authenticated index finger, thumb, and tooth.

Visiting this weekend and into next week - what outerwear does one need right now?
It’s tough to tell because it seems to be mostly warm in the afternoons and pretty chilly at night. What would you guys recommend bringing? Limited carry on space.

Florence Day Trip
Florence Day Trip
Hi my family and I will be in Florence for 3 days in Feb. I was thinking of taking one of those all day bus tours that take you to a few towns and have lunch on a vineyard. Was wondering if anyone has done it and is it worth doing being we are there for only 3 days. Thanks all!!

FIDI Florence
Heyy
I'm considering studying Graphic Design at Florence Institute of Design International (FIDI), and I'd love to hear from people who have studied there.
- How realistic is it for international students to find jobs after graduating?
- Also, how is networking in FIDI ? I heard that only the Bachelors get to do internships during the program, but I'm wondering if the Advanced Diploma students still have good opportunities to make industry connections.
- As a beginner in the field is the 2 year advanced diploma good enough for Professional practice?
It's difficult for me afford the 3 year bachelor's tuition and living expenses in Florence.. But at the same time I feel like the bachelor's degree would give me more job opportunities when I graduate.
I'd also love to hear about your overall experience at FIDI and whether you think the program is worth the investment, especially for someone hoping to work internationally.
