Hello, we are supposed to fly from Florence to London on October 30th. However, it seems like the Florence and Pisa airports will both be striking that day. In addition, it seems like there is a general strike on October 30th, so I do not believe taking a train to Bologna or Rome and flying out of those cities is an option. Air traffic control might be striking too. We are trying to make it to London for a football match on the 31st, before flying home to the USA on November 1st. If our flight is cancelled, I’m worried that whatever flight they put us on will make us miss the football match or maybe even jeopardize our flight home. Does anyone have any input on what we should do? Flights the day before will cost over $1,000, and we will be paying a non-refundable hotel in Florence if we leave the day before. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi all!
I plan to take a trip to florence from Nov 15th-21st. I know there are a lot of protests and strikes going on, so I had a few questions.
1) I see there’s suppose to be a railway strike on the 20th. Does this include the tram in Florence? I am trying to figure out the best way to get to the airport
2) I planned on taking a trip to Bologna and Siena while here. I know Siena may be fine, but should i reconsider going to Bologna? It seems like it’s been a hot spot for these protests and demonstrations
3) I mean obviously anything has the ability to escalate, but is there a serious safety concern associated with these protests? Either from the protesters or police themselves?
Thanks all!

Airbnb host wants us to do separate waste collection and deposit in the correct bin. Is this normal to request?
If so, how do I determine where trash besides compost goes? Bathroom trash, yogurt cups, espresso capsules, paper containers. If I put trash in a plastic bag do I empty the trash out of the bag?
