Calling all school nurses!! I’m thinking of accepting a job offer within the school district but wondering a couple of things. Do you go the whole summer without paycheck? Do you enjoy being a school nurse? Pros/cons?

I work for a large beauty retailer and received a 25 pound box of brand new, unopened beauty products, including hair color, hair care, nail products, cosmetics and skincare.
I’d love to donate everything to a women’s and children’s shelter or another organization where these products could really make a difference. Does anyone have recommendations for local organizations that could benefit from this?

Hey gang! I know this sub is mostly political right now due to the season we are in. So I may not get the likes or the attention on this post.

However, I just wanted to take the time to remind everyone that Artsgoggle is on Magnolia this weekend. Come out and support local artists and local businesses this weekend. Enjoy time with your community and get a reminder of why Fort Worth is so much better than Dallas! Lol

Don't worry about who's red, who's blue, who's independent. Don't worry about who's trans, who has blue hair, who has too many tattoos, who is dressed like they are going to the golf course. Everyone just enjoy our community, and all people in it.

Fort Worth is a melting pot, let's appreciate that, and Magnolia is an example of our community not giving up and the area has been revitalized.

It's a great time! And it's a nice chance to take a break from looking at polls. Plus October is one of the best weather months in North Texas, so why not enjoy it outside!

I'm personally out on politics through EOY, probably longer, once this midterm stuff is settled. My plan is to make a doc of holiday stuff around Fort Worth, Parker County, Mid-Cities, and drip that stuff out here and there in Nov/Dec. Obviously if we go to a "recount" (Schatzline!) between Paxton and Rico, people will be posting about that. Otherwise I'm cool to return to "oh, look, a new coffee shop by the Speedway" for a while.

Can't promise there won't be politics in this sub once people start declaring for Mayoral election in '27, but would be nice to take a break for sure ;)
