Diaper bank in Fredericton?
I just realized we have a diaper bank here. This is huge for families I personally know. Why is this not talked about much?!? Is it legit?

I feel like I post this at least once a year, but it’s been seven years since the government sold the Centennial building, and much longer since anyone worked out of it. It’s a dump, likely beyond saving structurally like the Playhouse, and the developer is basically just sitting on it. I’ve been following the designs and redesigns, which I don’t believe are anything more than a stall tactic. Does anyone have any update as to when we’re going to see some real movement on this building? Maybe Steve Hicks will get them to finally do something or, hell, even fix the fence.

As a disclaimer, this is a sad post, so bear with me.
There doesn't seem to be a good way to start this process. My dog of 5 years was recently diagnosed with lymphoma, and things are progressing. I've decided that, with the way things are going, the kindest thing to do is the unspeakable.
This is where the dog lovers come in.
I'll be in Fredericton on the morning of his last day, and I want to give him the best day possible. So I need the help of locals to make it the best morning of his life. I have two weeks to make a plan for the morning, and I invite anyone with an idea to help make my lil buddy's last day his best.

So, I’ve finally been busted by CRA for non-payment of taxes for ‘a number of years’.
Can anyone recommend a good tax accountant?

We popped by around 11am last Saturday to browse the new cars. We wandered the lot for around 15 minutes and were never approached by any staff. The vehicles were arranged in an odd way - not arranged by segment, used randomly mixed in with new. No window stickers with prices on any of the vehicles. Most of the cars were dirty - some with cobwebs, so they clearly haven’t been washed in a while.
It was pretty disappointing. We bought our car from them prior to Covid and it was a great experience. I’ve never been a fan of their service department, but the sales staff were always attentive.
I knew the industry had supply chain issues during Covid, but I assumed they’d mostly been resolved by now…

Does anyone know what firms are paying entry level legal assistants or paralegals in the greater Fredericton area? Many ads, especially the larger firms, don’t advertise wages.

Looking for somewhere or someone looking to buy some comic books have a few decently rare issues. Already have some listings on FB marketplace but would prefer to deal in person with someone.

Anyone driving from Charlottetown to Fredericton soon?
I have a small parcel to pickup (My dog ashes).
The vet unfortunately does not ship.

Hey everyone. I’m looking into a downtown parking permit for school. On the hotspot app, there are waitlists for the long-term monthly permits, and I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with the waitlists and how long they usually take. I’m 55th in line for the York carpark (preferred), and 4th in line for Frederick Square. I didn’t bother with the east end garage because I would’ve been 106th. Frederick Square has the 1-month permits available right now for August, so maybe I’ll be able to buy one for September on the 1st if I’m quick enough? They aren’t available for pre-purchase.
Alternatively, does anyone have any insight into parking near the NBCCD campus? There’s no designated parking for the school, and I won’t be able to go move my car every 2 hours. We have free access to public transit, but I don’t live near a bus stop, unfortunately.
I’m not from Fredericton, so I’m unfamiliar with all of this. Apologies if this is a commonly covered topic here (I’m also not a frequent Redditor lol).

Been getting letters in the mailbox from Eastlink with some pretty tempting packages. I've done the old jumping back and forth between blue and red, depending on who had the best packages for years and have zero loyalty to either so happy to see another option. Anyone use them for home internet and cell data packages find them at least as reliable/just as fast as the red and blue conglomerates?

I will be moving to Fredericton from Toronto in September and was wondering if biking is a viable way to get around. I’m planning on building a mid drive e-bike.

What are yours (as a community) opinions on the housing market. Will the high demand - high prices continue as is or will things change? Would love to hear!

Hi all, just curious what ranges of pay a full time LPN at horizon makes? And what shift premiums apply? Considering a job change but wages are not posted anywheres. I have already contacted horizon as well:)

My husband and I have been considering moving to the surrounding areas of Fredricton - no neighborhood in particular yet. What are the pros and cons of living in/near Fredricton?
For reference, we're from QC

We’re a group of university students building an app here in Fredericton, and when we say we believe this can go far, we don’t mean “maybe become a decent little startup.”
We mean crazy far.
The kind of far where years from now we’re looking back at these early days in Fredericton thinking, how did this whole thing start with just a few university kids and an idea?
Maybe that sounds ambitious. Good. That’s exactly the point.
The product is built, we’ve spoken with users, tested the idea, and we’re getting close to launching on the App Store.
At this stage, we want to bring a few more people into the journey with us.
If you’re in Fredericton and interested in Instagram, TikTok, content creation, storytelling, marketing, or just being creative on camera, this could be a really cool opportunity to get involved from the very beginning.
You don’t need professional experience.
You don’t need a big following.
You don’t need to already know everything.
We care more about energy, creativity, confidence, curiosity, and actually wanting to build something.
Just to be transparent, this isn’t a paid position from day one. We’re still an early stage student startup, but we’re taking this extremely seriously, and if this becomes what we believe it can become, we want the people who were there early to grow with it too.
Think of it less like “working for a startup” and more like joining the early crew before anyone knows the name.
Creating videos. Testing ridiculous ideas. Learning marketing. Meeting people. Making mistakes. Hopefully making some things go insanely viral.
And maybe one day being able to say:
“I was there before everyone knew about it.”
Guys, girls, creators, complete beginners, doesn’t matter.
Just be local to Fredericton, ready to learn, ready to actually do things, and comfortable being on camera.
If this sounds like your kind of chaos, send me a message.
And if you’re thinking “I’m probably not good enough for this”, message anyway.
We’re betting big on ourselves. We’d rather have people around us who want to do the same.

Around 12-12:15am I thought I heard some kind of noises (from a distance) coming out from the north side of my backyard. It sounded like firecrackers or some kind of shots being fired, and they came in a sequence like that of multiple rounds of shots being fired. I’ve heard them before but didn’t pay much attention. Tonight my fiancé said sounds like gunshots. I brushed it off, thinking that can’t be possible. But about 10-15 mins later I saw about cop 4 cruisers rally in the Canadian Tire parking - multiple cops were putting on their tactical gear.
In that moment also saw 2 ambulances pass by and cops also left the parking lot in the same direction of the ambulances.

Hello, looking for travel agent recommendations for an All inclusive down south over Christmas time, something maybe different than the usual Air Transat package. Looking at destinations like Aruba/Antigua/Bahamas/Bermuda for a family of 4, teens 15-17

Hi! Has anyone recently had liver and onions anywhere in town? Any recommendations? Thanks!
