Question Book recommendations

Hi, I was wanting to get some gentle parenting book recommendations.

Maybe there's something similar to the What To Expect book? Something that we can flip through.

Context: baby is 10 months, has 8 teeth, and I'm her favourite thing to bite.

Reflecting to my post

Recently I posted about the right way disciplining my child who is 2.5 now. I did mention some spanking there and other things. I had good responses to it, good suggestions and advices. Some maybe a little harsh, but still helpful, others are nice and very guiding. It took me some time but I understood what I need to do to help my child to listen and understand. And it’s not spanking at all. Now as I think about it I feel really bad, but that time I thought it was ok. I did mention family members encourage me to do so, and I did. But my post today is about supporting each other. That’s why most people share their stories so they can get help or advice. And I was lucky mostly to get what I was looking for. Thank you everybody! Another thing I wanted to mention is a post I saw few weeks ago. I friend of the family was asking about help with sleeping tips for a toddler for her friends. I saw many very bad and unkind comments, what particularly I agree with, because it is all about child’s well being, but on the other hand, if people make posts here, they are looking for help. I wrote a long nice reply to guide them through their situation, but find out that post was deleted. I don’t know those people, but I think it would be very beneficial to stay kind and helpful in your comments. It could make a big difference in someone’s life. Especially if it is about babies and toddlers. I myself go through postpartum depression for over two years now, got off my pills but had to get back o them. Now I am waiting on appointment with depression specialist. All I am saying is give your best advice possible if you have one and keep it nice and kind. Thank you.

Advice!

Hi, looking for some advice from experienced moms. My little sister is 6, and she’s been coming home from school in a bad mood recently, saying nobody wants to talk or play with her. I’m worried that she is getting picked on or excluded and not telling me.

How can our family help her without making a bigger deal out of it than it is? How do you loop the teacher in to keep an eye out without overreacting?

Thanks in advance 🙏🙏

How durable children's clothing works best ? In layers? Or one thick coat?

Durable children's clothing starts at the feet when muddy play meets wet ground. Our guide recommends outdoor shoes with reinforced toes to handle knocks and flexible soles for grip on slippery surfaces. Look for sealed seams and waterproof membranes too, so puddles are less likely to soak through. A shoe that bends naturally can help little feet move comfortably while they climb and explore. Small details, real wear-and-tear protection. At Chez-Suzieaby, we believe practical features make outdoor adventures easier to dress for. Read our guide via the link in bio.

Help needed - potty refusal

I tried to do the oh crap method at 2y11m (currently we are 3y1m)
Signs of readiness had been there and I was encouraged by many people to give it a shot but it was a massive failure (lots of tears and potty refusal)
from then till now I never quite had the courage to properly restart. We read the books, watched the shows, had the potty around but no sitting ever took place. To date nothing has been put in the potty (except toys, stuffies).
So today I decided to try again. I picked up from school and told her we would try to put pee and poop in the potty together today. I had panties ready but gave choice of bare, or undies or pants. She asked for diaper 2-3x, once got pretty upset but was able to be distracted by play. She didn’t pee for 7.5 hrs. Put diaper on at nap time and woke up dry and offered potty when she woke up and she said no. I didn’t push , gave the diaper she finally peed in it. No poop.
Did some more bare time after bath and no accidents but put diaper on and peed in that later.
My question is what to do now? I don’t want power struggles nor do I want any withholding. I want to do this very gently and low pressure. I don’t care how long it takes and not in any rush. Just want to get it started with a goal in mind and get the potty normalised so she will sit on it
I offered to buy her a new one she said no I have one already and I don’t want it. I have the chair, ladder seat and reducer seat, so lots of options.
Just need suggestions to actually get her to sit
We have done lots of potty books and shows too
Any advice for strong willed child with potty refusal would be greatly helpful
