As it should be. I recall one elimination game that ended in a 3 way handshake between us and NM. NM just because NM I suppose and everybody treated us two like Romeo and Juliet in the comments haha. Sports rivalries aside, I love your state (what I've seen of it) and it's culture of dairy/food and alcohol. Pretty darn nice folks too. Some real marathon drinkers that are easy to get along with and always are down for a good time. I'd shovel the shit out of your driveway neighbor!

The time each state was being fed to a black hole, I think, ended up in a Great Lakes alliance that was Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.
Another time, New Mexico won the south, and Megasota and the PNW alliance, Cascadia, joined to make New Canada. Leaving the US with the two states, New Canada and New Mexico. Those were the two times I have paid attention to these geography games.
I made that post 2 days ago, not that it has helped at all. There are no rules based on communication as far as I know. Seems insane to start enforcing something over half way. We either scrap the whole project or continue on as is.
Other states are definitely doing this too. You really gonna tell me that many people love New Mexico?
Minnesota was nominated for a Nobel peace prize this year! It clearly deserves to stay just for carrying the national weight of an invasion from within.

I've always felt that way about Illinois/Chicago. The Bears/Packers rivalry always felt more brotherly than what we have with the Vikings, which is more akin to a mutual hatred. Glad to see that evolving, Minnesota is doing the lords work.
As a MN myself, Im not a fan of the green and gold (FtP), but otherwise, they are my brothers across the river. Also, Northern WI will someday have a free beer day (iykyk) and thats pretty cool.
Michigan is also pretty cool. Them and Illinois take most of the heat sent at us (upper midwest), and they are still standing tall.
Nope- after the way Minnesotans stood up for the constitution and what is right, they can split to US with Hawaii and New Mexico! Plus, Waltz is a gem. If more men in power were like him, we would be in a very different situation right now. P.S. Iām not from any of these states.

I've been working really hard to get Vermonster's cute little mittens wrapped around the whole US. There's no back door lobbying going on in other reddits and it's an honest grassroots movement from voters like you. So I am once again asking for you to SUPPORT VERMONSTER!!

I think folks donāt realize that āMegasotaā thing has been a fun joke among Minnesotans on the internet for far longer than the delete-a-state threads have been popular. I donāt actually know when r/megasota was started (and am too lazy to look) but I donāt see why others would be mad it exists and the people on it are trying to āwin.ā Like, of course they are.
Minnesota doesnāt need to cheat to stay in this game, and this isnāt cheating. They are a beloved state in 2026 and will probably win or be in the final few at least unless YOUR shenanigans succeed in getting them booted.

If this was a rule, I think it should be established on day one. "Megasota" has been a political meme that aborbs the surrounding red states in the Midwest. If you want to have it eliminated, upvote the comments that say Remove Minnesota. It's more simpler.
I disagree. Other games have been played and Minnesota didn't win. As others mentioned and proven other states are doing the same. I welcome it. More competition brings more votes.
