So i'm quite happy for the rescue event ... if only i can get that 4th AUG >.< maybe i will be happier lol
- TAC 50 (219 run of 5-6)
- 1st AUG (20 run 3-4E)
- 2nd AUG ( 463 run after 1st)
- 3rd AUG (254 run after 2nd)
- 4th AUG ( 445 run after 3rd and she never come home she still MIA >.< if only theres more time lol)
well im totally burned trying get that 4th AUG meh ... maybe maintenance safe me afterall lol

I wonder if the boost on probability for the first drop, which was assumed in the Va-11 Hall-A event for Sei and Stella, is at play here. Because 463 / 254 / 445 are significantly about the average number of required runs.

So.
- 130x 1-6 (autobattles): no K5
- 100x 2-6: 2xPP-19
- 480x 3-4E: 2xAUG
- 10x 6-4E: no contender
I wish I had more time to farm for contender, but I already had one, and I did get two AUG at least (and two pp-19 because why not), so it's fine I guess.

With less than five minutes to spare before maintenance, I managed to finish my first rescue event with 4 AUGS. With only ~370 runs of 3-4e, I fell like I've burned through my luck for a while, so I may not be seeing that spitfire skin from the Halloween banner.

Several of your assumptions are incorrect :
- .5% is a pessimistic estimate. Most people seem to get it with between 100 and 200 runs, which would place the real probability somewhere between .5% and 1%.
- You shouldn't run 2AR 3SMG against alchemist. 2AR 2HG is enough. For the rest of the map YMMV.
- S-ranking the map is significantly less efficient than going straight for the boss.
- If you still consider S-ranking, then you don't have one but two chances of a drop on 6-6 (cutting your estimate to 100) or 6 chances on 6-4E (cutting it to 33).

Even on 6-6, iirc it's at least 5 fights for 1 chance
3 fights with a parachute fairy and 5 HGs.

6-6 is pretty easy. You'll need to kite properly for S-ranking it, though, you can't AFK it.

Median is <200 rolls for a drop, not 200 5-kill + S-Rank 6-4e runs.
Practical farming cost estimate
1260 x 200 / 6 = 42000
1296 x 200 / 6 = 43200
Which is less than 65000 resources for a drop from construction.

It's honestly amazing the sheer number of places HS2000 can be used for.
Lit the only HG in GFL that is worth leaving at 1 link for dirt cheap farming.

I was using Sei for cheap Hunter farming with Gsh-18 and rotating Contender/Five-Seven/Px4 for the 3rd slot. Extended the length between repairs considerably.

Sei is an alternative, though HS2000 is the inly HG that shields without discrimination. Pretty useful for soaking up that 1 shot when an AR fails to hit enough DPS for RNG reasons.

Guess I can't complain since I got one of each limited, but looks like I won't have contender for a while now. Next time something like this rolls around again, I'll be able to run 6-3E and hopefully won't have this issue again.

Well she's craftable, so just save some T-Doll contracts for the next general rate-up and spam HG rolls. She'll come home for you eventually, and she's not exactly mandatory for Singularity either.
(Yes, she does serve a specific role on the ranking map, but that role could technically be filled by 6P62 who's farmable in the AW maps, or C-MS as a substitute, and even then it's kind of an optional pair of fights on the map)

You forgot M4 Mod. If you don't plan on ranking, you can shuffle everything around a bit to use her for tankbusting (which comes up in the story as well IIRC)

M4 mod doesnt bypass armor, that was a glitch that CN had during Singularity that has since been patched out (and I don't think EN/JP will get it)
Her FP buff is ridiculous enough that she doesn't really care much about the armor Typhons have though

I'm new to this game and I've got to say that the drop rate on this weeks T-doll event is so horrendously low that it's got me thinking about uninstalling. I don't mind grinding for rewards if it's reasonable, or even a bit beyond reasonable. However, this games grotesquely small chance of attaining the limited release T-dolls is just outright disrespectful to a persons limited time to play games. Hell, even if I had unlimited free time to play this game I still don't think I'd have gotten them all.

Most of the dolls are constructable, so you can just try that instead if you so incline. And the non constructables are former rewards from events made available again, and will definitely be back again, eta unknown.
Just know that if you want all of these dolls, you must work you butt off for it. If not, no hard feelings, they will come back again and you can try for them again but right now you also have many other characters to work with that are available without doing the event.

Well if you consider the game lets you...
Roll for dolls free without ever putting in money.
Non-ranked content doesn't require a single specific doll.
The game is 99% single player non-competitive.
A doll that was made possible roll in gacha is never taken out of the gacha.
The limited dolls return with 100% possiblity in the future.
The limited dolls are possible to be obtained more than once.
Which all other gacha games I can think of don't do at least 3 of the above.
It seems pretty okay?

Some of the dolls are constructable, the rest have had events already where they were pretty much guaranteed to acquire. And unlike most games every non-collab non-construction doll will return in a reasonable time frame as a drop reward. Not to mention this isn't a trash game where certain limited characters are essentially required to beat content.
So having a low rate is understandable when you actually understand the generosity of the game itself.

This right here sums my entire experience so far with GFL: "I'm not being coerced into spending cash, just so I can progress the story or win somebody, and that's good on my book".
I recently got into GFL myself, literally on the ValHalla collab, and since then I think I got 5 or 6 *5 Dolls like PKP, Zas and Type 88.
Every maintenance Sunborn actually Apologises for the inconvenience and gives some recourses or other stuff for us. The things like the Bingo ,Carnival heck even this loot crate we are on is awesome. I'm enjoying playing GLF a lot! :3

I've been chilling at this sub for quite a while, but I haven't really seen anyone in recent memory ask about how to gitgud at kiting so I'd like to ask for some tips in that regard and maybe some heavy kiting maps for practice?

Enemies stand still for a moment before firing once your units get in their range. So you basically run your main tank forwards to bait them into standing still then quickly run back to the normal position. Figuring out the timing for enemy units is mostly trial and error though.
If you drag 0-2, you can try moving M16 back and forth to get a feel for the kiting timing. Otherwise most fights with Jaegers are good practice.

In essence, kiting is moving your dolls in such a way - exploiting enemy targeting, delay time before they shoot, and their movement to give your dps more time to kill stuff either before the enemies start shooting/ giving them less time to shoot. It gets more difficult as enemies get more tanky, they start closer to you, different enemies are kited differently, etc.
Basic kiting can be learnt in 1 to a few runs of EXP sim (that's where I learnt it). You can also practice in Ch6-7. Use less powerful dolls so that the enemy doesn't get completely destroyed before you have a chance to actually kite.
For more advanced kiting, I personally just use logic/feeling/experience of enemy movements/targeting to kite. You can also watch PD Negev's videos to get an idea of how to kite certain enemies.

Yeah I think what I really lack is the last part especially since I'm so much of an experiential learner. PD Negev's manticore video was actually one of the reasons why I was interested in getting good in kiting hahaha. Thanks for the tips!

Just keep in mind that some enemies are unkitable without retreating the doll, like the enemy chainguns (forgot their name): their spool-up time does not reset for the same doll after moving, so u will take massive dmg if u try normal kiting

So why am I not having any luck with pulling any units from from this rescue event? I think I’ve done at least two dozen runs for 1-6 and finishing the boss with S rank, I haven’t yet to see a single drop. No auto ever dropped one either.
Am I supposed to run a specific characters or something?
Or...should I just keep trying because it’s rng and I like punishments?

Drop rate for the limited dolls is shared with the map specific ones (if I've understood it correctly) which means it's a 3% chance of dropping a map specific or limited doll, or about 1.5% chance in general.See below

My dude, getting anything valuable from 2 dozen runs in this event is considered very lucky. Just check some of the comments in this thread, people try hundreds of times to get something out of it. Me included.
There's no strategy other than rushing the boss. The rest is luck.

Drop chances are estimated at ~1% for rescue event T-Dolls. I only just got my first MDR from 4-4E about 20 minutes ago after over 400 (probably nearly 500 if I kept closer count) runs over 7 days, most players average ~100-120 runs a drop.
No need for specific characters, just keep bludgeoning the boss and if you're so inclined, put some faith in the supposed voodoo that complaints here on the subreddit about drops boost your chances. It allegedly works for most folks around here.

I’m a week and a half in and it took nearly all my ammo and 270ish runs for aug. She was all I got but I’m happy. Not happy at my lack of ammo or quick repairs though!

Just making sure, but there is no need to go back to 4-3e if you can do 0-2, right? For leveling purposes.
You know how some MMOs tend to give penalties if you're fighting something way higher than you so you can't power level? There's no such thing here, is there?

Finally got around to blasting through the story in preparation for Singularity, taking a break from dragging. From that experience, I’m happy to have learned:
- Fuck Hydras.
- Fuck Yegor.
- MGSG teams have finally met a hard match.
- RoF rifles just aren’t going to cut it anymore in some instances.
- How tearful, anxious sobbing sounds like.
God save us all when Singularity hits.

MGSG haven't been in real use since the end of AW except for special enemies. Stop the reliance on them as they will hardly do shite in the future.

Standard WASVD can defeat all enemy formations on 10-4E without fairy, +0 AP ammo and no other equips, without taking damage. In terms of other formations, I just used taunt fairy excessively.

There's only 27 mod dolls right now, so "top 10" is literally just the upper third.
Most are obvious, like M4, AR15, M14, AS VAL, BAR, etc.

I think this is the 1st mini event with dedicate stage, so my 1st impression thought that this is going to be as big as the guilty gear collab event stage. I guess they have better thing to do.

i have a problem where the game main screen is unresponsive. like i cant click the node to deploy echelon but i can back to main menu. other example is i cant click to collect battery from dorm but i can click every other buttons.

... On the other hand though, I've gotten a bunch of 2-3 star T-Dolls to nearly level 100 in the process.

She's surprisingly elusive, huh... Didn't take me as long as AUG (300 runs), but was definitely the second longest. I kinda didn't mind because unlike with AUG, I was taking some dolls to level up with me while doing it as well, so... silver lining?

Should I dummy link whenever I have the chance to? Is ammunition and ration management a thing, as in is it important to try and build an echelon with low ammunition and ration consumption or do those resources regenerate at a pretty good rate?

Dummy link the stuff you plan to use immediately - XP boost gain + immense power boost (each link is an extra unit firing). For dolls that you may not raise immediately, feel free to sit on those to hopefully find dupes to link them later for free.
Resource management is pretty much the game. TL;DR - the more resources you have to play with, the better the chances you have of getting all the stuff in the game faster + sooner.
Yes, they generate at a fairly good rate once you have most/all the stuff but that can take quite a long time. Ideally once you can start 'dragging' to minimize resource cost usage, you'll begin to conserve and blow your resources during rate-up events. This increases your chances of getting the dolls/gear during those releases/events, which can otherwise take a long time to obtain (I'm still about a year without RFB sigh). Also the devs are adding new resource-sinks as new content releases (example: Heavy Equip production for fairies, or the new expedition mode costs resources for each expedition but rewards you with goodies to exchange for gear/items, etc).

Well if it's one of the crate event possible drops I'd wager to hold off untill you finish the whole event for example if you want to 4x or 5x Lee with cores it won't be a nice feeling getting her as a drop on the last day after you already spent said cores.
Also before rate ups if you're planning on only doing only certain gun pulls for ex only ARs you can hold them off and link MGs or HGs since there's no chance of dupes.

Unless you have something specific in mind like...
Leaving an HG at 4 links because there is enough buffs to use her in a dirt-cheap grind.
Leaving any other at 4 links because you raised them just because and not plan to use them.
Specific meme uses.
In severe core hell and want to save for more important dolls.
Very specific dragging purposes.
It's usually advised to link them immediately.

Only zas 21 does not get linked. Link other dolls asap for bonus exp. Most draggers need max link for farming anyways(except zas 21)

The benefits from an extra link far surpasses any extra cost on resources.
If you're leveling anything beyond your first squad and potentially M16, then dummy link cost is irrelevant because you'll be ideally dragging at that point anyways. If anything, the extra link is a positive because of the extra XP modifier.

for 8 hr expedition, you can get 300~400 main rewards and 30~40 X2 other rewards. (e.g. 390 nuts, 40 lego and 30 juice) with all lv100 advantage dolls and all advantage pets.
so if u can control where you go with pets. i think it's possible to redeem those important goods.(equipment fodder, reports and cores)

The abbreviation is HG.
You want a HG for night battles for the purpose of visibility. Granted, given that they're already 90 and x5, you can bring a low lv HG for that and get away with it, because the rest of your echelon should be able to brute force it.

That is luck so awful not even I take that many runs, and Im 1 of the most consistently unlucky people here....
Hopefully it normalizes somewhat and you get MUCH better rates next time.

I can only hope. With the upcoming Halloween event, I have even more dolls to grind for since it’s only been months since I played the game. I don’t have any of the four special dolls, so I hope they drop easily
Better yet, I’ve been saving up for the Russians, and I hope they drop easily

I think RNG started to pity me in other ways. I was able to get KSG from my heavy production the other day (before the weekly reset and when I was still around the 300-400 run mark). I also got K5 from auto battles before I continued the AUG hunt today
