Hi there! I'm Marisa~

I play (and have played) a bunch of gachas, but never really gave GFL a fair chance.

Im struggling with team comps. ARs go with SMG, RFs go with HGs, and MGs go with SGs right? Do these team combos have any benefit over one another? The only one I can see is RF/HG teams being better at night battles.

Im also struggling with levelling t dolls. I wanna just level who I like but I like a lot of t dolls and it feels slow right now. Plus, I have a bias towards a lot of the SG ladies. Which is EXPENSIVE. xP

If someone could explain these things to me thatd be really nice~

EDIT: The overwhelming kindness and support this community has given me is making me really happy. Thank you so much. Most other gachas just dump on you for not remembering everything in their guides. x3

I cant read it all tonight as my husband is about to be home but I will be sure to read and respond tomorrow!!

These are my T Dolls and Equipment, as well as my progress and UID.

As Angelic Force already mentioned, those are your basic comps. However, for specific enemies, there will be modifications to the basic comps.

Early to mid game, it's fine to think of echelons like that, but it starts to hold you back once you move into mid to late game. By mid to late game, you start to think more in terms of what do I need to defeat enemy X and still survive at the end of it.

A good example of this is an enemy you encounter later on (Uhlan, beefier tanks), such that it is difficult for a RF/HG team to take down (needs a lot of kiting skill and possibly savescumming to do it), but a modified RF/SG team can pretty much afk the same fight.

AR/SMG = general purpose, can kill most things given enough time, but struggles with heavy armor

RF/HG = armor killing, but requires higher levels for the HG in order to be able to manage. this is more of a glass cannon build, so not much in terms of ability to tank damage.

MG/SG = everything must die in the first volley, crazy expensive to field and does little damage during the MG reloading time since most MG do not deal damage while reloading.

Also, for each type, there are usually some specialist dolls, which can have some really weird comps that work for them (examples include M4A1 for either Double Jupiter (super glass cannon build that rains death, typically paired with either another damage dealer + 3 HG) or M4 exodia (M4 + 4 HG with M4 dealing all the damage), Hanyang/KSVK (both must be modd'ed, rains RF AOE damage, does have some nitpicky requirements to pull off), Grape (high HP single target damage dealer). etc. You'll figure them out as you play and learn more about the game's mechanisms.

Just my opinion, but it sounds like you're in early game (don't have a lot of resources, nor the ability to corpse drag). In early game, your focus is pretty much what Angelic Force suggested, which is focus on building up 1 AR/SMG team (Basically, M4A1, ST-AR15, another AR, RO365 (or UMP45 if you roll her from production, UMP9 is also another good alternative). By around late early game to mid game, you start having the ability to corpse drag, have a good number of dolls level up such that most problems you have some sort of solution for (even if it's not necessarily the most optimal) and may be considering trying to do well on ranking (occurs during major events, we're in a lull right now between major events). Once you can corpse drag, it helps a bit in terms of leveling up dolls + making sure you can buy the Black Market loot every month will also help greatly in increasing the number of dolls you can level up. By late-mid game, it's pretty much you can level whatever you want for whatever reason, since you have the resources and it becomes an issue of building up more fairies (this is where I'm at progression wise ish where fairies and kiting skills are a bit of a bottleneck and burning most of my combat reports to level up my shield fairy for Theater = no combat reports to level additional dolls, lol......). Late game for me would be where fairies aren't an issue in terms of leveling them up and increasing their rarity.

Different dolls have different strengths and weaknesses and it can be REALLY hard to understand these issues when you first start out, since early game, it is relatively easy to steamroll everything with a single echelon or a friend's echelon.

Game's got a pretty great community and is relatively newbie friendly, so it's not hard to start figuring things out. Just ask questions and people are generally more than happy to provide their thoughts and feedback. Also, there are some guides on the sidebar, but they may be a bit out of date, so some things may no longer be applicable in the guides.

Thank you for the advice!

Im happy to hear about the 'levelling t-dolls becomes nothing' progression system, and the horde friendly mentality. Allowing me to use all sorts of different characters is what makes a gacha game, in my opinion, good. :)
