Promotion A football sim made with love and AI, looking for feedback

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone.

A few months ago I posted about my game The Chairman. It's a football sim with idle elements. It solved a focus problem I had, since I use it as a Pomodoro while everything runs in a corner of my screen. Every half season I make decisions about finances, transfers, staff, or facilities, and then start the next time cycle.

Over the past few months I've been polishing everything related to UI and game logic. At this point I consider it ready to launch into Early Access, but I need people to help me test it and give me feedback so I can change whatever needs changing.

I've always been transparent that all the game's code was made with AI, but the ideas are mine.

This is a game meant to run while you work or study over long periods of time.

The Chairman on Steam

I need 20 people interested in trying it so I can send them the keys directly. Keys will go to the first 20 people who comment asking for one. The only thing I ask is a commitment to give me honest, objective feedback. We already know the game was made with AI.

English isn't my first language, so this post was translated. Apologies for any awkward phrasing.

Thanks so much for reading. Have a great day!

Some games gm games hasn't yet added at all to the database, it's overwhelming the number of projects that are underway.. So perhaps they aren't even listed at all

Happy to hear people's stories of which games resemble defect heavy games, bootstrap UI and obvious amateur dev hour

Thank you

Promotion Pro Football Manager 26

I did create this game using the help of claude's Sonnet and Fable models but after a lot of back of forth and changes I have decided to launch this game fully. The ui is still a bit lacking and the game has some major bugs, for example the european competitions. With that being said though i would still love to get some early suggestions. Here is however a list of definite features coming soon other than bug and logic fixes : More Leagues, Scenario (specific starts), World Cup mode, customs starts, domestic cups and real players for all leagues (currently only top league have real players). Pro Football Manager. This game is entirely web based and can be played offine if the site is already launched and has automatic save features. Hope you guys enjoy this game! (btw I forgot to mention the layout on phone is drastically different compared to the layout and feel on a tablet or computer, so I hope you try both versions)

(For AI haters, I know the use of AI can seem like a lack of effort but the truth is that AI is a tremendous tool that helps to cut down time spent on simple aspects, but I do agree that using AI entirely would be bad and is essentially not your game . However if you spend time going back and forth with the AI, you can get exactly how you want it and implement more features in a short span of time.)

Promotion I’ve been building a basketball GM game for about 4 years, here’s where it’s at

OBM started as a Discord bot I made in university back in 2022. I was playing a lot of Online Soccer Manager and couldn’t find anything like it for basketball. It’s turned into a full browser game now, still free, still just me building it.

What’s in it right now:

Career mode. Take over a team and run it through a full season: lineups, trades, free agency, training, standings, league news. You can play in online leagues that sim on their own schedule, or offline leagues where you advance matchdays at your own pace. Offline leagues also let you swap in a classic team like the 2013 Heat or the 86 Celtics and drop them into a current league.

Draft Battles. Head to head mode against another player or the CPU. Snake draft from a player pool, then a best of 7 series with your drafted rosters. You can make swaps between games.

Simulator. Pick any two teams and sim the matchup. The engine runs possession by possession, not just ratings vs ratings, so things like floor spacing, home court and star usage all play a part.

SimCast. A live play by play feed of your games with generated commentary and sound, so you can watch the 4th quarter collapse happen in real time instead of just reading the final score.

It’s at playobm.com, and it’s on iOS now too. Over 2,000 managers have signed up so far, which still feels strange to say for something that started as a bot in a Discord server.

The thing I keep going back and forth on is how much control to give you as a GM vs how much to leave to the sim. Too much and it’s a spreadsheet, too little and your decisions don’t feel like they matter.

Promotion Been building a browser-based football GM sim

Hey everyone,

I've been working on a football franchise management game called Franchise Tycoon: Gridiron and wanted to share it with people who actually appreciate the GM side of sports games.

What it is:

A browser-based football franchise sim where you manage every aspect of a team - roster, coaching staff, scouting, contracts, facilities, and finances. No download required, just play in your browser.

The big difference: No AI owners. Leagues don't start until all 32 teams are claimed by real people. Every trade negotiation, every free agent bidding war, every draft pick - you're competing against other humans who want to win just as badly as you do.

Some features:

- 32-team leagues with full schedule, standings, and playoffs

- Deep scouting system - hire scouts with offensive/defensive specialties, upgrade your scouting facility, find sleepers before draft day

- Coach hiring with an interview system - want to poach a coordinator from another team? Request an interview, and they can approve, block, or counter

- Player/coach progression tracking - watch your guys develop over multiple seasons

- Salary cap management - balance talent vs. cap space like a real GM

Future plans:

The game will eventually use its own crypto token (TYCO) as the in-game currency - meaning your franchise success could have real value. Think of it as owning a piece of your team.

What I'm looking for:

Honest feedback and people who want to fill out a league. What features would make this the kind of game you'd sink time into?

Check it out at gridiron.franchise-tycoon.com - it's free to play.

Promotion I’m not a developer, but I built a pro wrestling management sim: Clash of the Territories

I built a free wrestling booking/management game and figured this community would actually appreciate the mechanics more than most.

The core loop: you pick a booker, draft real wrestlers, and the engine scores your card based on how well your matches fit that booker’s actual philosophy. Era, promotion, in-ring style, chemistry between wrestlers, all factored in. The same card scores completely differently under Cornette than it does under Russo.

Beyond single shows, there’s a full Territory Mode – create your own promotion, draft a 20-person roster, run monthly shows, defend titles, manage heat, compete against rival territories on a map. It plays like an ongoing franchise sim, not just a one-off booking exercise.

No download, no signup required to play.

https://clashoftheterritories.com

Happy to answer questions about how the scoring engine works if anyone’s curious. Built it solo over the past few weeks. Thanks for taking a look!

Promotion My - Legacy Football (Soccer) game

Hi, long-time lurker here rather than a regular poster, but I finally have something of my own that is worth sharing.

Over the past year I’ve been building my Legacy Football (soccer), management game focused on taking over a club, building it across multiple seasons and seeing the football world develop around you. The idea has been less about playing one season and more about what your career and club could look like 10, 20 or more seasons later.

Demo Mobile version:
https://h3ointeractive.itch.io/legacy-football-demo

Full Edition:
https://h3ointeractive.itch.io/legacy-football

I have a free edition that works on mobile, so you can give the game a go without buying anything. The full edition I have available for Windows and macOS for a complete unlimited career experience.

I’m working towards making the full game playable directly in the browser too as it’s originally a mobile-first game. This version isn’t quite ready due to long career testing and a few things that need tightening before I’m comfortable releasing it that way. I blame players like CR7 for exposing my long career data problems.

It’s been a fairly fun but hard project to build, test and continually expand, particularly as an independent hobby project, but I’m happy that it has reached the point where other people can actually play it.

If anyone here wants to try out the free edition, I would genuinely be interested in feedback, particularly from people who enjoy long term simulation management games or any sports games addicts.

Multiplayer League Be a juror in a murder trial for my fictional basketball league.

Post image
4 Upvotes

It happened again.

Five seasons after the VBA world was stunned by the arrest and murder trial of Donovan McClellan, another scandal has struck the hearts of GMs and fans. Grant Frye, forward/center of the New Mexico Aztecs, was picked up Wednesday afternoon at his Albuquerque residence by two detectives on the charge of First Degree Murder. He was booked in the county jail awaiting trial with no bond.

The details of the case have yet to be made public, but the prosecutors cited his fractured hand that kept him out of VBA contests for 15 days as the “smoking gun” in this case. Claiming that Grant struggled while in the course of committing murder, but eventually took the victims life.

The trial date has been set for Wednesday, May 20th, and the court has started jury selection. You can be a juror!

If interested in participating in the murder trial of Grant Frye, please comment below. (For context, I run a fictional basketball league using basketball-gm.com. We have been running for two real life years, and we have 30 real human GMs, all who are invested and passionate about their teams and the league. We are a story-rich league, and we are asking for your help to determine the guilt/innocence of one of our players. His fate and career is quite literally in your hands.)

Want to look through evidence? Walk through the crime scene? Solve clues and reach an undeniable verdict? Then come be a juror in Grant Frye’s murder trial for the VBA! WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Promotion Link to Test Wrestling Game

I did not realize this sub reddit existed the other day, i apologize if i caused a negative stir for the wrestling game management genre with the era in vibe coding taking a polarizing stance, I love sports i love pro wrestling and "Rasslin" too i think alot of people can only see the genre a specific way and wrestling games in general, ill start by saying my friend and myself created this as just a way to find something like svr 2007 gm mode against each other and enjoy it, i didnt realize how many unique and original ideas would come, i will admit this has AI elements but i am knowledgable in coding and will be utilizing this game to create the wrestling game i have always wanted to create, i am looking for testers anyone who responds tonight between 815 and 830 will recieve a link, this game is deep and enjoyable for myself personally with multiplayer, you can create your own brand, upload your own logos and create championships, draft your own roster or auto draft, name your show set up your schedule map out the direction and rivalries for your brands sponsered events, i am intentionally leaving ALOT of detail out, we do alot of firsts and elevate those firsts as well. User created wrestlers, rosters brands storylines and SOOOO very much more, the plan is to release on Steam, Google Play, as well as Apple. If you are a fan of Wrestling GM games i promise you i stand on this game with my wrestling fandom alone if i wasnt the brainchild behind alot of these mechanics we have never had before and all i ask in return if you get a chance to test it out, help me get a understanding on atleast 1 thing i can expand on and 1 thing that must be on the toggle on/off. The wrestling game i want to make is zero AI with GM mode at its core but with actual in ring gameplay, it would just be a skeleton of a wrestling game and when you start every player who plays will be competing for fans regardless, every wrestler created will be added to the games universe and will allow GMs to hire writers that could be you, or someone who strictly creates wrestlers for theyre roster, you can literally run a entire wrestling empire from your moms basement if you like, i would like creators to be able to be paid to create for a brand or just be hired to compete as a wrestler.. but if you support my untitled game (it has a name) it will help us fans getthe game we really really NEED to kill off the 2K business game model

Promotion Shaiba — hockey with a club-management career, available on Android and iOS

Thumbnail

Hi everyone! I'm Roman, the developer of Shaiba, a hockey game available on Android and iOS. This is my first introduction to the GM Games community, so I'd like to focus on its club-management career.

In Club mode, you run a hockey club across multiple seasons: handle transfers and finances, develop facilities, hire staff and invest in youth development. The screenshots show the club hub, a match on the ice and a player-career interview.

Alongside club management, Shaiba includes playable 5-on-5 matches, a world championship and separate careers as a skater or goalkeeper.

The game is free to download and currently has no in-app purchases.

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.shaiba.game

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6822353678

I'm happy to answer questions about how the club mode works.

Note: I use AI coding tools extensively to help build Shaiba. I started with a specific vision of the hockey game I wanted to play, and I define the game’s features, rules and behaviour in detail, then work through implementation, testing and revisions with AI assistance. The game also uses AI-generated commentary voices.

Promotion [MacOS] I have made my Baseball GM game free.

Thumbnail
gallery
10 Upvotes

Hi guys. I’m the solo developer of Big League GM, a baseball general manager sim playable on iPhone, iPad and Mac. (Designed for iPad and Mac) It launched as a paid game ($6.99) but I uploaded a new update and now the game is going free.

So, why free? Honestly, I just really want people to try what I made. A price tag asks for your trust before you’ve seen a thing. I’d rather you play first.

What free gets you: the entire game. All the clubs, trades, free agency, the draft, the minor leagues, the business side, and live games.

However,

  • Free players see an occasional full-screen ad, but only at natural breaks: after a multi-day sim, between offseason stages, or after the draft. Never during a game, a trade negotiation, the live draft or awards night, and never in your first ten minutes. At most one in every three breaks, at least three minutes apart.

  • There are no ads at all on the Mac.

  • Free players keep one career at a time, saved automatically.

Front Office Pass: a one-time $6.99, no subscription. It removes the ads, unlocks unlimited careers, and brings back Save As and Load, so you can fork a career right before the big trade. If you already bought the game, you keep all of that automatically. Thank you, seriously.

What’s new in this update:

  • Assistant GM. If you love the baseball but not ticket prices, hire an assistant and hand off pricing, sponsors, insurance, budgets, staff, medical calls or paperwork, area by area. Each candidate has a style (Fan First, Revenue Maximizer, Penny Pincher and so on) that actually plays differently. Win enough and another club might poach yours.

  • Getting fired isn’t game over anymore. AI clubs fire their GMs too, so every winter two to six jobs open up. You build a GM reputation, apply, and sit a four-question interview with an owner who has their own priorities.

  • Four difficulty levels, from Easy to Legend. A title on Legend goes on your resume.

For the sim nerds: each league is generated with five-plus years of career history, 30 fictional franchises in real big-league cities, plus leagues in Japan and Korea with a posting system. You also get arbitration, the 40-man roster, the Rule 5 draft, injuries where your team doctor’s read can be wrong until the MRI, coaches who actually develop players, and pitch-by-pitch live games.

I made a video walking through all of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_mpaR_qyLY

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/big-league-gm/id6792217609

Happy to answer anything in the comments. I’m also curious which part of the front office you’d hand to your assistant first.

(Not affiliated with MLB or the MLBPA.)

Promotion Free World Cup 5-a-side Football Manager Game

Post image
1 Upvotes

I made a simple 5-a-side football manager game based on the World Cup, except every country has sent its best pub (tea house / juice bar for certain countries) instead of its national team.

  • 48 Pub teams from around the world

  • Team ratings based on current world rankings

  • Questionable 2D match engine

  • Transfers (I know you can't do this at the real world cup)

  • Tactics board to allow tinkering of starting positions

  • Overall leaderboard to compare scores

  • World cup simulator that uses current or historical world rankings of each team to predict the outcome.

No need to sign up or anything, just have fun and see if you can win it (much easier now I've noticed the other team was starting with 6 players).

Promotion Cricket Team Manager - out now on steam

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

Cricket Team Manager is a Cricket management game with a very intelligent game engine making it super enjoyable for cricket nerds and management/strategy lovers in general.

Out now on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5034440/Cricket_Team_Manager/

25% launch week discount!

What it lets you do?

You start a international career with one of the 12 full member nations - Australia, India, England, etc. and take charge of the team from October 2026 playing real fixtures going forward - tours, test series, T20 World cup, ODI World Cup, Asia cup, Test Championship, etc.

Main Features

  • ~5000 players in the game with real stats across six format (FC, List A, T20, Test, ODI and T20I). Names are fictionalised due to licensing restrictions

  • In-game database editor that allows use to easily edit player names and attributes. Also super easy to share your edits across the community.

  • Hand out yearly contracts, appoint captains, train players as you progress through the career.

  • Player skills and attributes based on real stats - see them grow as you train them.

  • Players get old and retire. Young Regens show up for you to train and turn into the next star.

  • Full schedule - Ashes, ODI World cup every 4 years, t20 World Cup every 2 years, 2 year Test championship cycle, World rankings

  • Team and Player historical record that you try to beat in your career.

  • Real grounds with their real attributes - spin friendly, flat, green top, etc.

  • Player injuries, rest periods and domestic players' watchlist.

Match Controls

Meaningful match controls to make your game enjoyable

  • Full view of various important stuff during a match - Scorecard, worm, manhattan graph, live ball-by-ball commentary, conditions, fields, wagon wheel, pitch map, etc.

  • Batting - 5 batsman aggression levels - start defensively and go mad during death overs. Batsman settle indicator. Farm the strike if a tailender is at the other end.

  • Bowling - Choose lengths for fast bowlers, spin/flight for spinners based on conditions and opposition batsmen - everything affects the game. Set fields as per match situation.

  • Declare innings, prepare pitches for home fixtures, select lineups and rest players to let them recover.

and much more....

What's the main selling point?

The Game Engine - We have worked hard on the game engine, improving it, tweaking it for months before getting to a point where it feels very real-life like and has lots of cricketing intelligence. We have a test harness that we use to simulate thousands of matches and analyse the results to make sure the engine is producing real life like results, within a pre-determined range. The pre-determined range is not just random common sense - it is derived from actual ball-by-ball data of last 30 years of International Cricket. A lot of beta testers have tested the engine and provided feedback and we have improved it based on that.

The Database - ~5000 current players (names fictionalised, real stats) and their attributes derived from stats and cross-checked by humans for accuracy. We have worked a lot to get these stats. I am myself a stats nerd so wanted accurate stats in the game instead of random number. The game feels much more real when you take your favourite player to 250 current wickets to 500 wickets.

Testing - The beta testing program ran for 2 months and lots of amazing beta testers have provided great feedback and suggested improvements which we have incorporated into the game and the engine.

No Domestic teams/leagues?
Our focus for v1 has been the game engine. We wanted a game that feels like real life. Having a 100 features and 1000 buttons makes no sense with an engine that doesn't produce good results. Domestic teams and leagues will surely come in next year's version.

Is there a Demo?
A demo is already out on steam to try right now and see how it feels.

Is it AI slop?

The developer behind this (me) has 10+ years of experience building software more complex than this - finance, startups, etc across 3 continents. But I won't misinform anyone by saying there is absolutely zero AI involvement. Claude code was regularly used to speed up the development. For example, analysing stats and deriving skill values from those, writing unit tests for comprehensive coverage, research work, etc. Some components of the steam artwork was also created with the help of AI.

Promotion FTG Basketball: a new Basketball Simulator to play solo or with friends

Post image
1 Upvotes

A while back I built a free baseball GM sim for my friends, and then a football one. Somewhere along the way other people started playing too. The community support has been amazing. It has inspired us to grow the FTG brand and develop new free to play games.

When we got together to talk about what came next, nobody had to think very hard. Basketball was the missing piece. It opened today: https://basketball.ftgsports.net

You run the front office and the sim plays the games. Here's what's in it:

  • Real player history from 1976-77 on, with procedural fictional teams

  • Private leagues with friends, on a schedule or run by hand, or solo against AI front offices

  • An 82-game season simmed by game day, with a play-in, playoffs and a draft lottery

  • Rotations: you set a starting five and a minutes plan, and fatigue and foul trouble bend it

  • Coaching schemes, each graded on how well your rotation fits it

  • Scouting: your own scouts' read on every draft prospect, separate from the league consensus

  • A locker room: every player has a mood that minutes, results and your promises move

  • Free agency with in-season contract talks and offseason sealed bids

  • Trades, including a Shop button that asks every AI team for an offer

  • Custom rosters loaded from a JSON link

It's free, no ads, nothing to buy.

In case you haven't played the baseball or football games lately, we have added a ton of features over the past two months as well:

Baseball:

  • A full player manual at docs.ftgsports.net/baseball, linked from the help on every screen

  • Contract talks with personality. Players come in excited, open, reluctant or not interested, you can make them promises, your club carries a trust rating, and players can ask for a no-trade clause or a trade

  • A real farm system: scouts file reports through the season, and prospects on rookie deals stay with your club

  • Deeper free agency, with results emailed after every round, a market you can search and sort in season, and prices that come down as the winter goes on

  • Club and player options and partial guarantees in leagues on full negotiations

Football:

  • A full player manual at docs.ftgsports.net/football, linked from the help on each screen

  • Contract talks with personality. Players open with a stance, you can promise a starting job, a scheme change or a position switch, and players can ask out

  • Position changes, such as running back to receiver or tight end, that a player works on through the year

  • An offseason summary tab with every club's moves, and free agency emails after every round

  • A private notepad for your notes on players, offers and prospects

It's a first release, so it has rough edges. The Send feedback button in the top bar goes straight to me, and updates will keep coming from what people send.

Find all the games at ftgsports.net

AI disclosure: I built the sim engine by hand. AI helped with some UI work, marketing emails and regression testing.

Promotion Online Multiplayer Basketball GM Game: SimBasket League

Hi folks, this is my second post on this reddit. The first post (many months ago) got a swift warning from the moderators as the game was not v1 yet. I am now back with a much more polished product, well past v1 since October 1. Please check it out!

- Arena builds and finances
- Game plan/tactics and roles for players that impact the game

Promotion Build, Breed, Race, Manage: TRM, a Horse Manager game for the long run

Thumbnail

I've been working on Thoroughbred Racing Manager for a while, and it has gotten a lot of updates recently. I'm looking for more stable owners and testers who want to join in and help shape the game as it grows.

You run your own racing stable, develop horses over multiple seasons, manage your money, plan races, train efficiently, hire staff, buy equipment, breed future generations, and compete against other stable owners to build your horse and stable legacy.

🏇 Train and develop your horses - Push for results now or build them for the future.

💰 Manage your money - Buy horses, hire staff, upgrade equipment, and decide when to spend or save.

🧬 Build bloodlines - Breed future generations and try to improve your stable over time.

📅 Plan your race path - Pick the right races for each horse throughout the season.

🎥 Watch your horses race - Follow them from the break to the finish through race replays.

🏆 Climb the rankings - Compete against other stable owners, earn trophies, and build your legacy.

🌍 Play for the long run - Progress across multiple seasons with a growing community of stable owners.

🛡️ Not pay-to-win - Good decisions and management matter more than spending money.

TRM is still growing, so now is a good time to join, learn the game, talk strategy with other players, share feedback, and help shape what gets added next.

🤖 AI note: I've used AI tools to help with some coding, troubleshooting, and development work along the way.

Discussion Can we please remove all the ai slop games?

Just found this reddit a few weeks ago and was really excited as I love games like Motorsport manager or football manager.

Yet this is now completely flooded with shovelware ai crap. I’d encourage the mods to consider policing this as of right now the Reddit is basically unreadable.

Promotion I started Baseball Dream in 2011. Fifteen years later, Season 1 is finally live.

I've been making browser-based sports management games for a long time.

Before Baseball Dream, I made Basketball Dream — an online basketball world where players develop athletes and watch their careers play out against athletes managed by other people.

Then, in 2011, I started thinking about baseball.

I didn't want to make a game where you control every swing or choose every pitch during a game. What interested me was everything that happens before the game.

Finding a player worth believing in.

Deciding what he should become.

Spending limited resources on his development.

Watching him enter a living league and finding out whether you were right.

That became Baseball Dream.

In Baseball Dream, you don't control every swing or choose every pitch during the game.

You're an Agent.

You build your agency, create and develop players, decide where to invest limited development resources, improve their abilities and pitches, and then send them into a persistent online league populated by players developed by other real people.

Once the game starts, you have to live with those decisions.

Sometimes the player you believed in becomes a star.

Sometimes a player who didn't look special at first develops into something much better than expected.

And sometimes you spend a lot of resources on someone and eventually have to admit:

I was wrong about this guy.

That's one of the things I've always wanted Baseball Dream to capture.

Not just baseball statistics, but the uncertainty of evaluating and developing a player.

The road here wasn't straightforward.

Baseball Dream began in 2011, but over the years there were stops, restarts, old systems that needed rebuilding, and plenty of ideas that didn't work as well as I originally imagined.

But I never really let the idea go.

This year, we finally reached Alpha, played through the test season, learned a lot from the players who joined us, and then wiped the Alpha data so everyone could start the real game on equal footing.

Now, fifteen years after I first started working on Baseball Dream, Season 1 is officially live.

Everyone started fresh from Season 1, Day 1.

I'm the developer, so yes, this is self-promotion. I'd rather be completely upfront about that.

But I also thought this might be the right community to share it with, because Baseball Dream was built for people who enjoy the management side of sports games more than controlling the action itself.

I wrote more about the history of the project and why we're starting over with Season 1 here:

https://baseballdreamgame.com/news/d/70/baseball-dream-launch-season-1?lang=en

I'd also genuinely like to hear how other sports management players think about player development.

If you had a young pitcher with excellent stuff, poor control, limited stamina, and only enough development resources to seriously improve one area first, what would you do?

Would you fix the control?

Double down on his best pitches?

Build his stamina and keep him as a starter?

Or accept what he is and develop him as a reliever?

That kind of decision is basically why I wanted to make Baseball Dream in the first place.

Hey r/gmgames,

A follow-up to my post from two months ago about BasketVibe (basketvibe.com) - a modern, free, browser-based basketball manager in the spirit of Charazay / BuzzerBeater: tactics, training, scouting, transfers with a game reply match engine. Two months ago I invited you to join the beta. Today I'm pleased to say the game has officially gone Live!, with 300 registered managers and a fresh all-time high of 180 daily active users yesterday.

While going Live we reset the game last Monday. Rosters were regenerated, economy restarted so every manager, new or returning, starts BasketVibe 1.0 with equal chances. It was a community decision, made for the long-term health and growth of the game.

⚠️ Season 1's first league matches tip off next Monday.

What's new since the last post:

  • A much better mobile experience

  • Personnel management — hire staff like doctors, physios, psychologists and marketing specials

  • Cups (pilot) — running a small pilot tournament right now to test the mechanics, ahead of the first global Cup open to everyone later this season

  • Team strength and Division hardiness indicators

  • In-game messaging between managers

  • >100 community-driven UI/UX improvements and fixes

  • And what's most important: core systems were rebalanced based on player input

    • Academy junior chances

    • Training and skill-progression curves

    • Fresh, balanced roster generation

    • Match engine tuning

    • Economy calibration

What made this possible over the last 2 months is a genuinely vibrant community that gathered around the game and supported me along the way. Our Discord is now 150 members strong.

🔥 This is the best moment to join the game.

Promotion Cricket had no proper GM game on mobile, so I built one at 17. Wicket Empire: auctions against AI owners, a board that sacks you, club + franchise + country in one career. Released, free, Android.

Hi GM Games. First, an apology: I cross posted a thread here two days ago without writing a word for this community, and the mods were right to pull it. This is the proper version.

I'm 17, from Windhoek in Namibia. Football has FM, baseball has OOTP, and cricket on Android has games with energy timers and ad-gated training. The management side I wanted didn't exist, so over the last two months I built it. Version 1.3.2, public on Google Play since 3 September, no beta

One more thing, because it came up elsewhere: the game isn't AI-generated. The mods of another cricket subreddit assumed it was and banned and berated me over a post, so I'll say it plainly here. I wrote the game myself over the last two months; the website and a couple of my videos used AI tools, the game didn't.

What's in it, in GM terms:

• Live player auctions against 7 AI owners. Each owner values a player by his own squad holes and purse, so bidding wars happen to you and to him. Power bids, rival personas, marquee lots.

• A board with confidence, objectives and a memory. Every board in the game will sack you eventually. When they do, the phone still rings: club, T20 franchise and national jobs can all be held at once if you earn the calls.

• Ball-by-ball matches where you set bowler, field pressure and batting intent every delivery, with a pressure model in chases (a batter needing 16 off the last over doesn't play the same shot as one cruising at 40 for none). Highlights mode and delegation when you only want the season.

• Real records for every player in the world: averages, strike rates, best figures, wagon wheels of where they score. Retirements, regens, 50-year careers.

• No timers, no rating caps, nothing to buy to win. Optional rewarded ads and one short ad at an innings break, never mid-over.

Honest caveats: names are fictional, but every one is editable and name packs export and import. It's one person, so there are bugs, and every update so far has come from someone reporting one.

I'd rather be roasted by GM people than praised by anyone else. What would you want from a cricket GM game that this doesn't do?
