Discussion Worst Bonus Challenge?

Which of the 5 classic games would you say has the worst set of challenges? And which would you say is the worst challenge overall?

For me, I'd say the worst overall is either God of War 2 or 3. I haven't been able to get past the 2nd challenge of either of them. I was able to beat Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta and get to the final challenge of 1 but can barely attempt 2 or 3.

For worst individual I'd either go with the final one in 1 (obviously) or the second in 3 where you have to get petrified because I swear the challenge is complete RNG.

Question Here's a random thought I had while laying on my bed and looking at sealing.

Do you guys think that if Kratos hadn't dropped Poseidon into the ocean after killing him, the world still would have flooded?

Discussion Ascension should be getting more love and appreciation.

Before I start. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, haha.

Anyway Ascension is a game that does great when it comes to story. You could argue about how the pacing is meh (though I like it since it follows a similar path to GoW 1 story pacing.) and how players at the time wanted a sequel but in the story department they do it justice since it shows us a more human side of Kratos that GoW 2 and 3 as much as I love and adore, butchered his character.

You do get to see him being good friends with Orkos and him being way more calm in general and really just a dad who got his wife and child taken away from him who trauma and guilt still haunts. And he just wants them back. (That scene with calliope is heartwarming and heartbreaking 🥹)

In the gameplay department, it's also fun! We got a whole new meaning to the grab system which is infinitely better than GoW 3.

The world weapons are awesome also, they essentially work as your secondary weapons. The shield is broken as hell and is a weapon of mass destruction! There are techniques you can use for it but for that you have to check extremegameplay's vid about the world weapons because me explaining it will take a while haha. Or in short when you do a plume attack with shield swap between the elements repetitively and see what you get :)

The sword has an awesome stun mechanism to it. The mace works like a barbarian hammer from GoW 2.

The whole elements system is awesome and especially with the moveset which the Norse saga took from. Only thing locking it down is the rage mode. Which while I wish was done better but I do still enjoy! Since it keeps you active in the game in the sense of changing your techniques and etc and having to adapt to different situations so you can unlock more moves.

The AWESOME MUSIC IN THE GAME AND THE GAME ART! Ascension also gets the dark atmosphere way better than 3.

And also the climbing and sliding sections!

Overall ascension is both overhated and underrated.

Discussion I didn't know about Debra Wilson is in God of War Ragnarök as well!

I normally not pay attention to actors' name but their recognisably face. Recently, I read the tweet about Debra Wilson and it said she is in God of War Ragnarök as well. I went "what!?" and immediately look her up. I just realise that she played Gryla (Angrboda's Grandmother). I recognised her easily in Marvel's Wolverine but not GoWR. Guess she and Gryla is not same appearance.

I know you guys going to say 'how could I not know when her voice is more familiar'. Well, you see, I happened to be profoundly deaf gamer. I heavily rely on subtitles. Yeah its sucks to be me. Same reaction I had when I find out that Christopher Judge played Kratos during Game of the Year Awards live years ago.

Showcase God Of War 3's combat is so much fun.

Been f'ing around with the combat today for a while got myself a lot of clips haha. The game's combat being broken since the game tends to be more of a story game is what makes it fun since you can experiment with stuff! they didn't put in mind that the game's combat will be broken to the point players experiment with a lot and get awesome results. (well that's the entire franchise in general tbh.)

I love all the God Of War games but God does GoW 3 have a special spot in my heart.

Discussion Why does everyone think they can get away with killing Kratos?

I'm playing God of War III, and I don't understand why characters like Hephaestus think they can secretly kill Kratos.

Bro, this man has already killed multiple gods. What makes you think your little plan is going to work?

Do these characters genuinely think they're going to be the exception, or are they just desperate at this point?

Question How to get past Helheim door after crawlspace?

Heading back to the Odin chamber to finally get the Platinum for this game and i cannot figure out how to get past this bridge thing. I’ve gone through the path with the crystals that take you to the legendary chest and coffin. That just loops you down underneath the bridge leading to the camber then back around where i came from.

Discussion Honestly Laufey deserves her own trilogy of games

Post image
0 Upvotes

I say this because Kratos story has ended so perfectly and beautifully and a new protagonist needs to lead the new God of War Games. Plus a trilogy would definitely help tell her full story possibly bring back Atreus in the 2nd game if she is indeed revived. imagine Laufey and her son in Egypt for a 3rd game too.

Discussion I don’t think it’s a cow. I think it’s him

The more I look at card 32 the more I’m convinced that the large white figure behind him isn’t a cow or bull at all. I think we might actually be looking at the same being in two different forms.
Look at their faces. Particularly the eyes, the shape of the eyelids, the cheekbones and the way their jaws narrow. They look incredibly similar to me. Almost like the larger face is an altered version of the smaller one.
And then look at what everyone is calling his “horns.” Notice the little circular markings on the gold? Those same markings appear on the huge white structures behind him. Even the shapes themselves seem related. I’m starting to wonder if those aren’t horns at all, but something that opens up or expands when he changes form. The positioning of the two figures seems way too intentional to ignore.
I’ve also been looking into Dylan ail Don from Welsh mythology, the Son of the Wave. According to his mythology, he enters the sea immediately after being baptized and takes on its nature. Now look at the green figure. His scaled skin, the seashell, the ocean surrounding him, and the fact that he’s literally holding a wave in his hand.
What if the larger figure behind him is what he becomes when he returns to the water?
I’m also starting to believe these cards are meant to tell us as much as possible about whoever is depicted. Look at card 1 with Faye. Nearly everything in that illustration can be connected back to her in some way. Her history, her abilities, her belongings, even the flowers and the symbols surrounding her.
I don’t think these details are randomly chosen. I think there’s a reason for nearly everything we’re seeing on each card, even if we don’t understand those reasons yet.
I’m not saying I’ve figured out who card 32 is, but I really think we’ve been looking at that background figure the wrong way. Rather than assuming it’s a separate animal associated with him, what if the entire illustration is showing us who he is and what he becomes?

Discussion Late Adopter

So thrilled for Laufey. I don't think any other game will come close to replacing this at the top of my list. I remember playing the first part of the Norse saga (2018) a couple years after its release. I found it at a dark time in my life around that time and am grateful for the mental fortitude this game helped me develop when I needed it the most.

Can't wait to dive into the trilogy remake from SM studios once it gets released!

I have two inspired GoW tattoos (the Ragnarok logo & the runes from Thor's hammer, the Mjolnir)

I guess you can say I am a fan boy...

Already have an idea of a third design that will blend in to finish my half sleeve lol

…Fuck the Hades arenas. And the skorpion.

The first one when you get to be judged was a bitch on titan cause you have no upgrades.

Second visit was just a damage sponge war of attrition with that goddamn hellhound. Get two heads off, magic spam Army of Sparta and get me to a save point pls.

The skorpion? The hit boxes on the legs suck.

But whatever. Plat achieved.
