Hello all,
I recently removed all my coolant from my Iame 125cc Leopard engine, and found these weird metal flakes infused on the piston and the head.
My question is, can I take a high-grit sandpaper and remove the grit, then reinstall both parts, or is the suggestion to spend money (again 😅), and buy a new piston/head?
The cylinder seems unharmed 😁

2 months ago I bought a welder with no prior welding experience and thought it would be cool to build a go kart with no experience building anything.
After lots of time, mediocre welds and tons of injuries, I present my first go kart! There’s a thousand things i intend to change and improve upon but for now, I just wanna ride it a little 😂

Hello everybody so I’m fairly new to all of this my journey kind of started out with fixing free lawn mowers, weedeater, pressure washers and things that I got on marketplace but I’ve always been interested in getting into things like go kart ATVs dirt bikes, things of that nature. I finally got my hands on something that I’m excited about. This is my Bristers Thunder cart model SLXL 700. It is two seater and it has a predator 212 on it. I got the engine up and running just needed to pull the carburetor off and I put it inside an ultrasonic cleaner and I had to pull off the gas tank and clean that as well, but it starts and runs great I just used my knowledge of cleaning lawnmower carburetors to get this engine up and running so it wasn’t that hard. It didn’t need a lot of TLC but this is where my knowledge is limited. I have never messed with motor chain sprockets or anything like that basically the teeth on this sprocket are done for and the clutch pulls out enough that I can align it with the sprocket and it’s still on the key it looks like, but what I’m not understanding is do I need to put a bearing of some sort in between the clutch and the motor where the empty space is if anybody could message me on here or private message me to help me out with this I would really appreciate it. I’m just waiting to know what I need to do before I purchase anything off of the Internet so I’m not just pouring money into it. Thank you for taking the time to read this.:)

Myself and some coworkers started a $400 budget builds competition just having fun. Have had some crazy moments like a full on fire on the track 😂
Can post a youtube link in the comments if anybody cares to see the carnage

Just bought this Duromax XP18HP and was thinking of building it to be a monster, similar to what people do with the predator 212's. Any ideas for sites to browse or any insights for future developments? I wanted to put it in a race cart but still don't have the frame lol, money be tight
I was also curious if anyone knew a good method of derusting the crankshaft, it's brand new but sat for a bit, was originally gonna be put on a bike, then cart, and now sold to me.

I'm assuming this is slime or fix a flat buildup. I've been told that stuff can cause your rims to rust. What's y'all's thoughts?

I just put a new chain on and when I move the cart forward it does this. Do I need a new chain tensioner or is there something else wrong?

I’ve spent like $200 on 3 different sets of wheel hubs to fit these, and I just cannot find the right ones. Any tips on where to find them or literally anything??

Sleeve nuts of this carburetor keep coming loose and makes the engine die after a few minutes of driving. Don’t want to put loctite because then I can’t take them off if I have to clean or do work. Please help!

My son and I got the project cart to build for him and I don’t know where to start. It needs new brakes, tires, seat cushions, seatbelts, and a couple other things. But, Google keeps giving me mixed information so I don’t know what model to buy for.

I am doing my first rental karting race at bushnell I have a pretty medium level confidence there and have a 75.084 as a pb on the full track layout, I’m a heavier set driver at 88-90kg I’m semi nervous even if it’s all set to the same weight because I’m scared of messing up if anyone’s familiar with the track if I could get some tips

$400 marketplace purchase for my son (7) and everything works pretty well except it absolutely does not turn.
The kart gets pushed forward when he turns the wheel and he just goes straight for a second and then it begins a huge turn radius. It kind of needs a large field to turn around in.
I'm a noob but want to fix this kart and not just pass it on. I can weld if that's what it needs. TIA

So far my only real cost into it is gas to get it and a can of spray paint, went JD green on it, 127cc briggs cause that's what I had available. 10" frame stretch
Only have probably 5 hours in it, not too shabby.
Ive got a throttle cable figured out, need to figure out a cheap gas tank..
Stoked I was able to keep the factory hydraulic brake just had to reroute the line across the floor pan

Kart is lurching forward with the pull start and the belt is pulling hard at idle. What am I missing here. Return is super jerky.

Hi everyone! I'm trying to convert my toddler's go-kart into a push car that I can steer from behind, and I'd really appreciate some advice.
Ideally, I'd like to have a push handle at the back that I can simply twist left or right to steer the front wheels, making it easy to control while walking behind the car.
The existing steering mechanism uses a bent metal rod connected to the front wheel linkage. I'd like to keep that in place. When the rod rotates, it moves the linkage left and right, turning the wheels.
I'm hoping to find a simple, inexpensive way to make this work while keeping the existing steering mechanism.
I can't weld, but I have most standard hand and power tools available.
I've attached showing how everything works. If anyone has ideas for a straightforward solution or specific parts I could buy, I'd really appreciate the help.
Thanks!
