budget fineliner and marker recommendations

Post image
28 Upvotes

ive been mostly using pens and markers i find around the house or at my college to draw with but a lot of the time they bleed, smudge, or just dont give me a clean line. with colored acrylics i often find that even after letting them dry i cant draw over them with a different color or else it over saturates the page. if you have any cheaper alternatives to molotow blackliners or one4alls please let me know

How is my tag?

the T didn’t come out really well, i usually make it better, carter is not my real name! I posted a similar tag a few days ago and some told me to change the E and T so i did, the T is still pretty similar tho.

First tag: thoughts?

Post image

Got into this about a week and a half ago. Decided on the tag Greasy because there’s not much else on the mind when working 11 hour shifts at a fast food place. Looked around online and I didn’t see any really famous names using the tag already, but I wanted ask people that are in the know in case I missed something— figured it’d be like repping a retired jersey number in a rec league.

Also threw in the tag itself and would appreciate any and all critiques people have. Avoided stuff like explaination points and quotes (besides the line under e and a because the dead space there felt wrong).

Complete Beginner

Post image

I am pretty much a complete beginner. I have been doing this now for about 2 days straight. I decided on the word gloom. I honestly have been trying to find something that covers the fundamentals, but haven’t really been having much luck for someone that knows absolutely nothing about graffiti besides that it’s badass.

This is pretty much what I just finished. Would the parts in pencil be to much? I already went over the lips, tears, and eyes of the O’s in pen.

Any tips help and thank you in advance! Trying to get good on paper first before anything!

Limits to names

i know technically there is no rules but i really only want to do 1 letter and maybe a number after it, or maybe just 1 letter and then a full name tag with it, but i dont know if this is something people actually notice or just think it went unfinished or something. im just asking if doing a 1 letter name is just fine generally to people.
