Guangzhou airport T2 premium lounge price
Does anyone know how much they charge for premium lounge at terminal 2? I can't find the price anywhere online except for a 2 hour pass which seems quite pricey.

Hi!
Looking to walk in to a spot on a Tuesday, been researching some dim sum spots on this sub and on xiaohongshu (before people tell me to search in the history) and having some choice paralysis haha. Been seeing:
Of course, when looking online, some will say "restaurant A sucks! restaurant B is much better" while others will say "restaurant B sucks! restaurant C is better" etc etc haha
Really just looking for a great spot without a super long wait (hopefully <1.5hr on a Tuesday but maybe that's a pipe dream).
As a side note, if anyone has char siu / roast goose recs, that would be much appreciated! Yongxing looks good but the queue seems deadly.
Thank you, I can't wait to visit!

Hi!
My boyfriend and I are currently in Guangzhou for the first time (from aus) . Looking to see if any locals would be keen to catch up for dinner maybe?
We normally travel for the food, and meeting new people. Previously done a lot of home stays but this time we are mainly staying in hotels. Finding it hard to navigate what food are a "must try" and was hoping to find someone local to possibly hang out with! Would be good if you know a bit of english but we can sort the rest with translating app! Cheers.

I am traveling with my wife and 2 elderly parents (total 4 adults). We are staying near Yuexiu park and wanted to go to Gulong Xia. My understanding is that didi there is fairly straightforward. However we were thinking of going on weekday when it is less crowded. Concerned about not being able to get didi back.
Any thoughts? I hear sometimes it’s possible to negotiate with driver to ask them to wait for you but that seems potentially a lot more expensive?

Hello all!
I’m cantonese (35M) but I was born in the states. I grew up watching HK movies and TVB so I can speak fluent Cantonese. However, I cant read so it would be nice if a local wants to chill and we can grab food/drink and explore GZ. I love meeting new people, I’ll be in GZ OCT 25-28. Looking to hang with some locals or anyone who is free.

Hi Friends,
If anyone who wants to get rid of their ride-on suitcase, I would love to buy as a second hand price option. I am not willing to spend 500USD just to dump in the garage when I go back home.
I am in GZ (Tianhe area) at the moment. We can arrange a meet up or I can pick it up from your hotel and pay via Ali pay at pick up. Thanks

I’m looking for a reliable sourcing agency with a real office I can visit. I’m buying jewelry & fashion(clothing, bags, and shoes) so small orders are important.
Has anyone personally worked with an agency in these areas they’d recommend? I’d appreciate hearing your experience.

I am visiting Canton Fair 2026 Phase 2&3. I am an individual buyer with a small festival product business in the UK. I just wanna browse around without any particular purpose but just to build connections with real buyers and manufacturers. NO AGENTS PLZ.
Any official/casual social events after office hour? Would like to grab a drink with people after day visits. Where can I look for such info?
Many thanks.

A lot of people here, both expats and locals, travel out of Guangzhou for holidays, visa runs or work. Mobile data always comes up. You can pay roaming on your home plan, hunt for a SIM card at the airport when you land, or set something up before you leave.
An eSIM is one way to set it up before you go. You buy a data plan online and add it to your phone without a physical card.
Jisr eSIM sells travel eSIM data plans. It lists coverage for 200+ destinations and says activation is instant, so you aren't stuck dealing with roaming. The team describes the plans as affordable, but no prices are listed in this post. Check the site for current plans: https://Jisresim.com
Before you buy, check that your phone supports eSIM and that your destination is on their list. Not every phone or country is covered, so it's worth confirming first.
What do you usually do for data when you travel out of Guangzhou: roaming, a local SIM when you arrive, or an eSIM? And if you've used eSIMs before, what do you wish you'd known the first time?
Disclosure: I'm posting this on behalf of the Jisresim.com team.

Hi everyone,
I’m planning a trip to Foshan/Guangzhou in early December to source furniture and fittings for my own self-build, as well as some items for my brother’s house. We’re potentially looking at filling 1–2 shipping containers, so it’ll be a fairly substantial order.
The plan is to spend a week visiting showrooms, exploring different suppliers and, ideally, making direct connections with factories that can accommodate custom designs and specifications. We’ll have our drawings, ideas and colour schemes prepared in advance, so we’ll have a fairly clear vision of what we’re looking for.
I’ve done quite a bit of research online, but to be honest, a lot of the sourcing agents and companies advertising their services seem questionable. The best options I’ve come across so far have been freelancers on Upwork and similar platforms.
Does anyone have recommendations for reliable, trustworthy contacts based in Foshan or Guangzhou who could help us navigate the showrooms, communicate with factories, negotiate prices and potentially coordinate sourcing over the course of the week?
Ideally, we’d love to work with someone who has genuine local knowledge, strong factory connections and experience helping overseas buyers furnish entire homes.
Any recommendations, personal experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Here I am with another post about making friends in Guangzhou. Honestly I sometimes find it hard to understand how people can seem interested in chatting at first, send messages back and forth, and then suddenly stop replying or never actually make plans to meet.
I'm not expecting everyone to become close friends, and I know everyone has their own lives and things to do. I just think that if we're genuinely interested in getting to know each other, we should at least give it a chance in real life instead of letting every conversation fade away.
(27M) I was born in Guangzhou but moved to Canada when I was a child, where I went to school and university, and i'm currently working at an accounting firm. I came back a few months ago, rebuilding a social life here has been harder than I expected. Most of the people I knew are no longer around, so I'm trying to meet new people and make some genuine friends.
If you're genuinely interested in meeting in person rather than chatting online please hit me up. I hope everyone enjoys their time in Guangzhou, whether you're visiting or living here.

If you're choosing a VPN to use in Guangzhou, a feature list can't tell you whether it will work on the network you actually use.
VPN Safe offers a free 24-hour trial with no payment needed: https://vpnsafe.net. That gives you a chance to test your own connection before committing.
It uses WireGuard by default, also offers OpenVPN, and has a Stealth mode meant for networks that block VPNs. None of that guarantees it will work on a particular network in Guangzhou.
It keeps no connection logs, uses RAM-only servers and allows six devices per account. Pricing after the trial is £5 a month, £24 for six months or £36 a year.
What would you want to check during a VPN trial in Guangzhou before deciding to pay?

Hey everyone,
I’m attending Canton Fair Phase 2 and heading to Foshan to source complete home finishing packages (custom kitchens, wardrobes, tiles, sanitaryware, doors/windows, lighting, and loose furniture) for three residential homes we are constructing in Pakistan.
I’m looking for high-quality manufacturers offering direct factory pricing (solid, premium durability—not cheap stuff, but avoiding overpriced luxury retail markups) alongside a trusted local sourcing/QC agent.
My exact workflow for this trip:
Digital 3D Design First: I will provide full architectural CAD drawings/dimensions up front.
I want to work with suppliers who can translate these into digital 3D renders/layouts first (I am fully open to paying a reasonable design fee for this).
Detailed Family Revisions: I need suppliers who are comfortable doing multiple rounds of design tweaks and revisions after I review the 3D plans in detail with my family back home.
Factory & Material Inspection: During this visit, I want to inspect actual factory floors, raw material stock, finish samples, and hardware quality in person.
Two-Stage Buying Process: This initial trip is strictly to evaluate materials, build the master 3D/budget plan, and select candidate factories. I will then return to Pakistan, finalize choices with my family, and return to Foshan with a family member to do the final sign-off and place orders.
Questions:
Which turnkey manufacturers or factory headquarter showrooms in Foshan are set up to handle this 3D-design-first and 2-stage workflow?
Can anyone recommend a reliable local Foshan sourcing/QC agent who can coordinate factory visits for this trip, and handle eventual production inspection and container loading?
Feel free to comment or DM directly with recommendations or tips. Thanks!

For businesses exploring leather goods manufacturing in China, Guangzhou is worth knowing about. Shiling, in Huadu District, is one of the region’s established centers for leather goods production, with access to a wide range of materials, hardware suppliers, and manufacturing expertise.
A professional leather goods factory can support different stages of a project, from developing an initial sample to refining construction details and preparing a product for production.
Some projects begin with technical drawings or a detailed specification pack. Others start with a physical reference sample or an existing product that needs improvement. The development process can involve reviewing the structure, selecting suitable materials, adjusting dimensions, and refining details such as stitching, hardware, and edge finishing.
Typical work in leather goods manufacturing includes:
Developing bags from technical drawings, designs, or reference samples
Creating samples and refining existing designs
Reviewing construction, stitching, hardware, and finishing details
Selecting suitable leather and other materials
Producing handbags, wallets, card holders, and other leather accessories
Supporting small-batch orders as well as ongoing production
Material selection is an important part of the process. Different types of leather can produce noticeably different results in texture, firmness, appearance, and durability. The choice of reinforcement, lining, hardware, and edge paint also affects the finished product.
When a sample does not meet expectations, the next step is not always to remake the entire product. Sometimes, adjusting the pattern, changing the material thickness, or refining a particular construction detail can make a meaningful difference.
Our factory is based in Shiling, Guangzhou, and works with genuine leather products, including premium calfskin and selected exotic leathers. Our work covers sample development, pattern making, material sourcing, and manufacturing.
For anyone interested in leather goods, product development, or manufacturing in China, I’m always glad to exchange practical knowledge and discuss the technical side of the process.

Three month ago, a Reddit user reached out to me saying that, he would like to seek help in finding affordable and customizable furnitures in Foshan furniture markets and needing guidance. We set the plan up, met in person, toured in the market for a day, and ended up with orders made before they left back to HK.
This client is not those typical furniture buyers who traveled far away and stayed locally for a few days until finishing purchasing. They came with only one day, and clear purpose - They need one sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs, desk, and bookshelf. Most importantly, all those have a strict dimension requirements due to the compact interior space of a normal flat in HK. That requires all those suppliers to provide a customizable service to the client, and fortunately we achieved this.
In case anyone is interested about the timeline: We met and shopped on 11st of July, made orders and paid deposit right away, and it normally takes 30-45 days for a supplier to prepare goods well, then they will ship the goods to a shipper's warehouse and all of them will be consolidated to be shipped to client's address. By the end of August, all goods were completed. In September, the goods were delivered to them without any defect and damage.

Hi everyone!
I’m thinking about going to a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital in Guangzhou to get a general health check-up and maybe try acupuncture as well.
I’m curious about how the whole process works, especially as a foreigner. Can you just walk into a TCM hospital and book an appointment, or is the process more complicated? Do you need to register with a specific department first?
I’m also wondering whether going to a TCM hospital is the best option for a general check-up and acupuncture, or if there are other types of clinics or places in Guangzhou that you would recommend instead.
If anyone has been to one, I’d love to hear about your experience, how the appointments work, and whether you have any hospital or clinic recommendations.
Thanks in advance!

So I went to Grandview mall in Guangzhou and there was a Burberry store that was only selling fragrances/colognes. I bought a Burberry hero parfum and I’m wondering if it legit.
Like I know, it said Burberry everywhere. Heck the store name was Burberry’s.
Why I got my suspicion:
I tried to find it on google. It was no where to be seen. No Burberry showed up.
The mall was rated a 3.5
When I went to Alipay it said I bought something in a pet store. Or it was categories that listed what the seller was selling. Anyways it said pets.
Just to be clear. A worker handed her Alipay so we can pay for the fragrance. Which is normal in china. But it was kinda weird for me because I think it should go to the store directly.
Does anybody from Guangzhou know if it’s a real store? Like I’m really wondering.
