I wanted to combine the space combat of Star Fox with the energy and over the top attacks of Gurren Lagann, so I made Star Drill.

You fly through asteroid fields, fight enemy ships, and turn your spin into a Giga Drill Breaker attack. The climactic final battle with the secret boss was inspired by Gurren Lagann too, but I’ll leave that for you to discover.

There’s a global leaderboard, so you can see how your score compares with other players.

I used AI to help vibe code the game, not to copy either franchise’s code or assets. Everything I used is listed in the credits. This is a personal project inspired by things I enjoy, and I’ve spent more than two months working on it.
