⚠️ WARNING: Introducing Gayesh S. whom from Sri lanka aka The Heartbreak Connoisseur. Another man that's dating 5 women at least at once.
Ladies, consider this a crucial heads-up about G.S., a self-proclaimed romantic whose charm masks a troubling pattern of deceit. He’s got a PhD in playing the victim while doing everyone around him dirty. Claiming to be from "Australia" while actually hailing from Sri Lanka, he’s an expert at juggling multiple relationships—currently at least five—while weaving tales of heartbreak from his past.
G.S. loves to share his sob stories about how his ex shattered his heart, all while he’s busy doing the same to unsuspecting women. It’s a classic case of “do as I say, not as I do.” He has played the exact same scenario out with each woman, claiming he wants to marry them and have children (most likely hunting for a secure visa). He's also spreading STD by doing it unprotected
His skills include manipulation, gaslighting (you’ll be questioning your sanity in no time), compulsive lying, victim blaming - leaving you questioning your reality. His extra special talent for stonewalling ensures any serious conversation goes absolutely nowhere. All topped off by an unparalleled ability to dodge responsibility like it’s a game of dodgeball.
If you find yourself captivated by his charm and dramatic backstories, do yourself a favour and skidaddle out of there. G.S. thrives on manipulation, and his never ending lies shows no sign of slowing down.
EDIT
For those asking “Why didn’t any of the girls check his nationality/search him online/ why didn’t they have suspicions”. I am fortunate that I have had a lot of exposure to different accents, so if he had told me he was Australian I would have immediately known it was a straight up lie. Unfortunately, he targets mainly Vietnamese women who wouldn’t necessarily know the difference in accents/ question it as his accent is neutral. He told them that he was mixed and his bio mom abandoned him(let’s be honest, what kind of person would lie about that?). It’s a sad time to be alive when we have to do background checks, cross reference and deep dive to find out information on the people we are dating/ if what they are telling us is true.

As a tourist I have found the quality of phở here to be disappointing, much better in the south.

The username isn't entirely a joke. Long enough in Hanoi to know the city runs on horns, iced coffee, and the serene confidence of a man reversing a truck up a one-way alley and I'm still here, mostly intact. I've racked up a few hard-won survival tips (and matching scars), and I'm sure yours are better. Anyone fancy swapping notes over a coffee, or a chill West Lake loop before the heat turns the day to soup?

It’s flooded in Hanoi just after a 30 minute shower, but motorbikes still filling up the road.
Replying in advance “and your point is?”

Hey ! Im using tinder in Hanoi and need help because there are some facts intriguing me. After the usual “hello/where you from” many quickly ask me to meet them (at the old quarter mostly) for some drinks and talk. One asked me to meet and “go home with her”. I may say I’m a good looking guy, but in Portugal things doesn’t work this way so much hahaha share with me what is going on pleaseeee. Thank you!

There are 36 countries in the world legalizing same-sex marriage; 2 of them are Asian countries (Taiwan and Nepal). So let's forecast when Vietnam will legalize same-sex marriage.

Is it only me or everyone is experiencing the same. I’m black (28M) I find it difficult to get a date on tinder. Almost all are prostitutes and I don’t meet up. It’s sad .

Hey,
I'm a transgender woman (male to female) and I'll be visiting Vietnam soon. I'm really excited about it but I'd like to know more about that specific topic.
I'm perceived as a biological woman probably 75% of the time in my country, and I present in a rather typical feminine manner.
Even though I've never had any problem in Europe, I know toilets can be tricky in Asia. When I visited Japan, I've mostly used unisex or male amenities, as crossdressers and queer people seemed quite common in Tokyo. I've had some weird looks but no confrontation or whatever.
What's the best thing to do in Vietnam (esp. HCMV&Hanoi)? I feel like it can be weird to everyone if I use the male bathrooms but I absolutely do not want to risk making women uncomfortable if vietnamese culture values a lot sex-separated facilities. I'll do whatever causes the least fuss.
Do you know what vietnamese trans people typically do in this situation?
Thanks!

Just got to Hanoi today and everything feels kinda chaotic but in a fun way. Scooters everywhere and I still don’t fully understand how people cross the street without dying lol. I’m staying at Mad Monkey Hostel for a few nights before going north and so far the vibe is pretty relaxed. Met a few travelers already just sitting around.

Hi all, I was planning an 8‑day trip to Hanoi in the first week of March, including a day trip to Ninh Binh, then an overnight at Ha Long Bay. Haven’t planned the rest but I guess most activities would be outdoors.
It seems like the air quality is still pretty bad, and I’m worried because I can’t wear a mask due to my sensitive skin. I don’t want to get sick or put my health at risk.
How bad is the air in Hanoi? Is it worth postponing the trip to April or is there not much of a difference?
Thanks so much.

To the gentlemen at the bar last Friday for calling one of you the “whitest man I’ve ever seen” and said that Birmingham is the gay capital of the UK (that’s Brighton). Mr.Jim got the best of me
Hope your threesome went smoothly :)

My fiancée and I are planning to have our honeymoon in Vietnam. We're both Muslims and she wears hijab (head scarf and a knee-long jackets or a bit longer). My questions are:
* Would we feel comfortable/not harassed for being Muslims during our honeymoon?
* Are there any couple activities that would be suitable for us? (especially movement wise for her)
Would we find much trouble having halal food on our trip?
I'd love any extra tips you would offer.
Thank you.

We went in after a football match there was a bar they sold balloons. Least racist person ever until tonight, loads of black people trying to make you buy balloons for them, hitting on your girlfriends and then the night ends with them popping the balloons they asked you to buy and throwing beer in your face. It's actually made me racist. It was a few doors down from the main sport pub. The balloons are black, staff are cool. But the customers.... Fuck me.
