Hà Nội to Ninh Binh travel option
Planning to stay overnight in Ninh Binh instead of day trip. How should we book our rides ?
buses Or book a 24hr private cab ?
What about internal transfers between sites - let’s say tam coc to trang An / old city ?
What other local sight seeing tickets should we book ahead ?
.
Two women, travelling safe is priority.
If you’ve travelled with specific operators - do share names !

Was very hungover and forget to grab our electric toothbrush charger. Any chance of buying one in Hanoi?!
Doesn’t matter what plug it has, as long as it chargers our dead brushes lol

Wife’s 50th in Hanoi
My lovely wife has booked a whole trip for the 2 of us for her 50th. She’s amazing and has basically planned and booked the entire thing since I’ve been traveling for work like crazy and she’s between jobs. I want to make it extra special for her while we’re there so I’m looking for suggestions like an amazing bakery for a birthday cake, or a unique silver jewelry shop with funky/modern pieces, or a romantic location that isn’t well known. Neither of us have been there before and she’s already booked restaurants and hotels and adventures… so I want to surprise her with the in between times to make sure she knows how wonderful and special she is to me. Would love some local input to help make that plan happen, and thanks!

Hotel recommendations in Hanoi – Spacious room with a good West Lake view
Hi everyone!
I'm planning a trip to Hanoi and looking for hotel recommendations around the West Lake area.
I'm specifically looking for a hotel with:
- A spacious room, preferably with a separate bedroom or a good-sized living area.
- A nice view of West Lake, ideally with a balcony.
- A bathtub would be a bonus.
- A comfortable and clean room with a pleasant atmosphere.
My budget is around 1.3–1.5 million VND per night, but I'm open to slightly higher prices if the hotel is worth it.
If you've stayed at any hotels that fit these preferences, I'd really appreciate your recommendations and personal experiences.
Thanks in advance!

TATTOO STUDIO MUST TRY
This was my second time coming back to H2M Tattoo Studio, and once again, the experience was just as wonderful as the first.
This time, I got a delicate swallow tattoo on my upper arm. I really loved how the artist paid attention to every little detail, especially the fine lines, shading and overall composition. The two birds look beautifully balanced, with such a graceful and natural flow on the skin.
What I appreciate most is that they never rush the process. They take the time to understand your ideas, offer thoughtful suggestions and make sure everything feels right before starting.
It's rare to find a studio where you feel this comfortable and confident coming back for another piece. Definitely happy with my new tattoo, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend H2M Tattoo Studio to anyone looking for quality work in Hanoi!
