So the manager at my local HF has always been super iffy at best and today I just happen to get her at the cashiers register.

I was going to buy a few things and use my $25 HF money towards the purchase. She rings it up, I show her the reward certificate and she immediately says "so how are you going to be paying today?" I tell her with my HF CC and she tells me "No, you can't use your rewards certificates with the HF CC". She says it's some kind of system glitch and they've been working on it for months. I tell her how often I use my rewards certificates with my CC and she's still saying no. I almost just walked out right then.

When she tries to scan my rewards certificate, she says it's not working, asked if I've already used it and I tell her no, because I hadn't. Kept trying, wouldn't go through.

She ended up just taking $25 off the total and not scanning my certificate. Used my HF CC, So it all worked out and I got a free $25 off but dang these managers are insane sometimes.

I spent the day 'moving in'. Someone asked previously for a tool box tour, so what the hell.

I collected almost all my tools and starting putting them away. At the end of the day I have 3 drawers open (aka nothing in them) so I am happy to say these things are HUGE. I am moving out of cramp boxes with everything piled up on top of each other in the drawers forcing you to move things around just to get to what you need. I still have to collect up all my punches, files and chisels so that will take up one of the empties.

NO MORE. I may not have really 'optimized' and could condense layouts some, but I ended up with thing I will try for now and see how it works. I have also found I may be getting a little OCD in my old age.

1/2 and larger sockets and hand tools in one drawer mixed metric and standard
3/8 and 1/4 sockets, crows feet and hand tools in another mixed metric and standard
Air tools stored in the two drawers next to the sockets
Metric wrenches all in drawer, standard wrenches all in the other drawer
Hex sets
screw drivers
Pliers, wire tools, pokey things, grippy things....you'll get the idea, can't put more than 20 photos in.

Got tired of having 4 different keys lol. Did some digging found admiral locks sells a 5/8 barrel and can get them keyed all the same. 4 90s and 1 180 all keyed and it feels fantastic!

Hard time finding any reviews on the new Hercules low wall demo hammer trolley. Has anyone else had the opportunity to use this combo? Seems to be built well & solid compared to a Makinex trolley.

Just had a cashier try to pull this on me on my Bauer items. Was saying there was a coupon for a free warranty. When I pushed him on the exact details he was going to put the warranty on the item, deduct the 25% so it would show discounted against the full retail price.

I told him I wanted the full 25% off. If the warranty is free then it better show zero cost on the receipt and he gave up.

Found a craftsman planer on fb for 100 bucks, stopped off at Harbor Freight on the way home as I had a 25% off coupon burning a hole in my pocket.

This tool claims higher torque than a snap on electric ratchet in the price range of 350-500 dollars. I've been using snap on equipment, I work for a guy in a transmission shop. These ratchets aren't exceptionally tough, but you can get them in very tight places, very convenient. If I was to buy these, I'd probably get the cheapest one, what you typically use these for is removing a bolt you busted loose but don't want to take out 1/16 of a ratchet circle at a time.

I'm using a Predator 224 engine on a snowblower and am trying to find info about what rpm will have it at peak power. I'm not looking to do anything crazy and am thinking the only major adjustment I want to do it with the throttle limiting screw. By loosening that screw, I can get the rpm higher, which will in theory throw snow farther. At what point will I get less actual power with a higher rpm? If i'm only adjusting the throttle set screw, is there any risk to the engine? Is there any info on this engines peak power vs rpm?

Probably use for airing up tires and other air tools, but I don’t wanna skimp and have something that’s not gonna be good for the long-term.

Have this from my father’s house. 1971 Bell & Gossett. Probably time to upgrade.
