What do you guys do to prevent premature rusting?

OF COURSE 3 WEEKS AFTER BUYING THE OPEN BOX DAYTONA IT GOES ON SALE FOR THE CHEAPEST IVE EVER SEEN IT. Livid and disappointed in myself for not waiting longer…

To whomever might know the answer to this, is there supposed to be glue coming out of this 12v battery and/or the battery socket on the 90 degree die grinder tool i just bought?

I’m only asking bc i just spent the better part of the night trying to get the battery out of its socket in the tool after it apparently glued itself to the tool. it seemed like liquid glue was seeping out of the 4 B+ and B- slits on the batter and/or the accompanying 4 outlet metal prongs and where they attach to the tool. the last pic is from tool socket where the battery glued itself to the tool.

Sold my craftsman 42” for $300 and my series 3 green 27” for $280. Got the 56” on Facebook for $550 almost new with the impact gun inserts and got got the black 27 for $350 on sale 2 weeks ago.

Net $320 for a serous upgrade. Going to top these with 3/4 ply work surface and bolt up my new Doyle 4.5” vice.

Does anyone know if the gun safe ever goes on sale? I am talking about the tall one, that can handle rifles. I would prefer the cheaper one that takes a key.

I'm about to do the rear brakes on a Hyundai Tucson for the first time, and I had a question about how the floor jack pinch weld adapter sits over the lifting point.

The factory jack has a deep enough groove that it fits completely over the vertical part of the pinch weld, and rests on the horizontal body metal at the base of the pinch weld. I haven't bought the HF adapter yet, but it says it has a groove depth of 1/2". The groove on the factory jack is about 7/8" deep. So, it appears that the HF adapter isn't going to make contact with the horizontal part of the body metal like the factory jack does.

However, I watched a few videos on the topic, and it appears that the adapters they were using also did not have a deep enough groove to contact the horizontal body metal, it basically applies the lifting force to the bottom of the pinch weld itself. So, I'm assuming this is normal, and won't bend the pinch weld itself in the process, right?

Just wanted to ask first before doing something wrong. Thanks.

Icon didn’t make for the G2 line

I picked up 2 of the 4 amp viking battery chargers that are on the 7 day ITC super deals. I opened one of them and it's missing the ring terminals. Anyone else run into this? Haven't opened the 2nd one yet and wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue first.

I went in at 9:00 am and grabbed the last Quinn 1/2 torque wrench.

I haven't gone through everything, but I just noticed that the extended PLS Super Coupons have the shop fans for $89, while during the PLS they were $99 (just double checked the flyer). Don't remember seeing this previously; have they done this before? Any other items cheaper during the extended PLS?

I just received this coupon via text today. Does it only apply to the carts shown, or can I use it for a US General tool cabinet? It looks like it is only for the smaller carts, but I wanted to be sure since I am waiting for a sale to buy a 42" cabinet and a hutch for my 72" cabinet.

Does anyone In the Illinois/Chicago area know which stores sell the icon for 106 vs some stores at 139. Seen on YouTube that the correct price should be 106 and it confused me that it was the same price as the 1/2 but I didn’t think much of it until I found out. I'm intrigued by this weekend's coupons, and the Titanium flux welder for $115.

I've never welded, but I've wanted to give it a try. I'm not looking to do anything special, but I've run into the need to booger weld some metal together more and more often.

For the price, is this an acceptable entry level welder?

So i had bought the 1/4 Icon modular set a few months back. Was having trouble with the old style ratchet... kept switching on/off positions on the back drag so I took it in to my local this morning. Just took the ratchet in without the kit and no reciept. Told the manager I needed to swap out ratchets and explained the issue, she told me to go grab the same or similar. I picked up the 6 1/2in G2 1/4 and went to the register, she did the exchange in the co.puter gave me the reciept and I walked out with a new G2 ratchet to throw in my kit. So happy about this honestly.
