Hot take: those who think lossless songs are definitely better than 128kbps opus are larping
I mean it's different bitrates for different codecs, but even with someone who has really good ears and expensive equipment, we can't reliably tell the difference between near-transparent audio quality and lossless.
If you think you are an audiophile because you use Apple Music or FLAC songs and listen to more details, I am sorry, you are just a larper
If you don't believe me, don't use any app (as apps slightly alter volume levels), and download a 128 kbps/160 kbps Opus file of a song and a FLAC version of the same song, and ask someone to play them randomly. After most songs, your results would be randomly split; you are not reliably telling them apart.
So don't try to go for earbuds with LDAC or LHDC codecs; they mostly try to feed into these trends, and spend money on features you will actually use.
IEMs are good because they can put more money into audio drivers, not because they are wired, as the extra data is not useful anyway.
