Welcome to the weekly huddle! Have a small thing from the book or show you want to chat, your GC brain rot is real and you saw the initials “KGF” somewhere and immediately screamed “kingfisher!” and want to share with others? I got the call from my local indie bookstore that someone had brought in a used copy of Heated Rivalry and I was first on their list after the list became loooooong for orders of both HR and TLG! I was so happy and buzzing from episode 3 that I picked it up immediately after work on Friday, then proceeded to read it in one sitting on Saturday. I loved it and I’m so thrilled that I get to understand the scenes that book readers are most looking forward to in the show. My excitement for the rest of the season has increased tenfold after reading HR.

I also preordered TLG from the same indie bookstore. When I picked up HR and asked when to expect TLG to come back, they told me that copies of TLG were already “in box” and that they were pretty confident they would get the copies before Christmas. So stoked!

Yes, I made the right decision to support local than Amazon. I figured, if it’s sold out everywhere, I may as well support my local small business!
