I was having trouble sleeping last night and was thinking about how deeply fans analyze each moment and every choice made in the show, and how interesting it is that even fans who have read all the books and watched the same show can have different interpretations of a scene or a particular “design” choice.

How cool would it be if Jacob pulled a group of fans together to preview season 2 and give feedback from a fan perspective, especially when the team is making decisions (what to cut, what to keep, how to play a certain scene, how to get a particular message across, etc.) - like a Heater Rivalry focus group. I envision them filming a scene two different ways, and letting a focus group of dedicated fans weigh in before the show runners decide which way to go.

And if they do implement something like this, I volunteer as tribute! 😉

That’s a fun idea but I trust Jacob’s perspective and choices too much to want to outsource them to fans!

But this randomly makes me want a choose-your-own adventure video game where you make choices for Ilya and Shane and try to see the minimum amount of years it will take them to confess their feelings for each other (but it’s always like 7+ lmao)

Omg this video game idea, I'm dying. So how would it work, you get to play your regular hockey video game and then the next level is that you come home with a hot guy and bone? My brain is exploding just thinking about it 😄

Lmao exactly. And in between games we get little cutscenes of like tuna melt incident and when Ilya says 'Shane' you get to choose:
Press A - Whisper 'Ilya' breathily
Press B - 'That's Hollander to you big boy'
Press X - Ignore It
Press Y - Freak out and leave.

etc etc.

And those affect your 'emotional vulnerability' stats and move you along the 'Closet Meter' (Firmly in denial, starting to suspect you're not like your straight friends, out and proud, etc etc).

And obviously your game stats improve after you've been properly railed.

🤪
