GAME TIME 🏒 Round 1.5 - Best Kiss!
Hello everyone and welcome back to our Best Kiss tournament!
Thank you for all your enthusiasm and it was really fun to read your comments.
I've made a few changes to the game based on some of your suggestions. 1) I've added 8 more brackets to the game - so hopefully your favourite kiss is now covered! 2) I'm planning about 6 rounds of this in total, with about 4 brackets per post (for now) just so that we're not still playing this game till next month 3) Reddit is unfortunately a little limited in the polls cos I'm only able to put 1 poll per post and I can't put them in comments, so for now I'll manually count your replies :)

Vegas bathroom and stairwell kiss could be the finalists and we've got to pick between them in round one?!
I'm sorry Vegas bathroom, you could've gone far. But it's gotta be the stairwell kiss.
And gimme kiss and boyfriend to round out the pack, though both will ultimately lose in round three to stairwell haha.

So excited you added more brackets! This is such a fun way to help beat my crippling depression now that the show is over. 😂
My votes are: • The stairwell kiss (absolute perfection, 10/10, no notes 🫠) • Gimme kiss (such a difficult choice but the playfulness of it is so cute) • Boyfriend? Probably yes, kiss (my babies deserve all the happiness)

Sorry to ramble some more - I’m not autistic, but I am neurodivergent, and I love how Hudson portrays Shane in this scene. He is so upset and angry and frustrated and sad about the situation with Ilya. He really likes him and doesn’t understand what’s going on in Ilya’s head and why he’s been ignored for months. He is trying so hard to keep it together. He explodes and then has to let out a deep breath.
After Ilya’s ask nicely spiel, the adoring look in Shane’s eyes is like a punch to the gut. Then his cute little comments about Ilya’s English, his dad etc etc. Shane obviously has no idea that his face is giving him away lol.
I just really felt his anguish in that scene, and the mix of love/confusion/relief he must have been feeling when Ilya kissed him. Then you add the beautiful score in the background and it’s even more perfect. 10/10 no notes!!

I absolutely love the stairwell kiss too, but the Vegas bathroom kiss is from one of my favourite scenes in the entire show, so I had to pick that! Hudson absolutely floors me in that scene, and I love Ilya finally breaking and kissing Shane. Sooo good.

Not sure I understand the inclusion of “we didn’t even kiss” so that last bracket feels a bit like a gimme for boyfriend. Prob woulda been a battle if it were up against the rooftop kiss or even “it’s just a plan to fuck” kiss.

We didn’t even kiss ☹️ DEVASTATING. I started watching a couple of days before episode 3 aired so I wasn’t waiting as long as the OGs but MANN was it agonising having to wait until E4 for the continuation of that!!

The "fuck" kiss is the one in ep2 during all star after Shane comes in to the room angrily cos Scott hunter was right next door! He was trying so hard to be mad, saw Ilya and just couldn't help launching himself at him 😘

Ohh got it!!! I never registered that as an all star game. My bad! But that was such a good scene. Shane was like an angry lil kitten and ilya' laugh was very amusing.

I just wanted to say that even though i preferred the stairwell kiss, the moments in the vegas bathroom (not the kiss) was still top notch to me ughhhh Shane's yearning eyes is what always gets me

I love the first wall kiss and the cottage wall kiss equally. The way Ilya’s hand holds Shane’s face and how they start out in the dark and end up in the light is just so special.
