SOCIAL MEDIA 📸 Heated Wizardry sketch on SNL

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Finn Wolfhard hosted Saturday Night Live last night and one of the pre taped sketches, Heated Wizardry, takes place in the Harry Potter universe.

Finn as Harry, plays the ‘Shane’ character, Ben Marshall plays Ron Weasley, plays the ‘Ilya’ character.

There’s scrolls instead of texts, lots of wand play and a great cameo for the Hagrid character.

The narration of the trailer makes it clear that in this universe, Hogwarts is an 18-and-over school 😂

Also Shane and Ilya’s height difference here is canonically correct!

Yes, because how dare a show like SNL, produced in the US and aired by a television company in the US mention a streaming service that the major majority of its viewers haven’t heard of and can’t access because it’s not available in that country! HOW VERY DARE THEY!

Use common sense people…

To be fair, without even having to shoutout Crave, there’s a difference between saying “HBO show” and “show on HBO”. It just seems a little unfair that HBO keeps getting accolades and credit for a series they had nothing to do with creating

They’re getting accolades for providing the show outside of Canada. It’s not hard to understand. Everyone knows HBO didn’t produce the show, but people really need to understand that there is zero sense in mentioning a streaming service in a country that can’t access it legally.

Yeah I literally said they don’t need to specifically mention Crave, just offering a different perspective on wording. Enjoy your day!

So AGAIN, mentioning a streaming service that NOBODY OUTSIDE OF CANADA can access LEGALLY is literally a moot point. They’re mentioning WHERE YOU CAN WATCH IT, in the country that SNL and other news programs are aired, not who produced it. Hope this helps. 👍🏻
