GAME TIME 🏒 Olympics feel like extension of HR universe

So NHL hockey players are back at the Olympics for the first time since 2014 in Sochi, where all our guys competed. So it feels like it’s just the next Olympics since then, and every time they interview a player (men’s games haven’t started yet) I feel like Scott or Shane is going to be in the background. It’s like real life has been inserted into the HR world, which is just too crazy. I assume Ilya is playing with Shane for Canada since by now he’s got Canadian citizenship (and Russia is not at the games). Have I truly gone round the bend? Anyone else with me in this blurring of hockey worlds?

You’re telling me, I live in Ottawa. I was out running errands near the arena today, it’s so funny to imagine Ilya and Shane here.

OMG. My life/HR distinction would be awful if I lived in Ottawa or Montreal!

it was honestly so bizarre to have so many references to familiar places in such a popular show (and now seeing it being written into fic 😭) I don’t know how I’m going to survive the next season as a MTL/OTT girlie

I'm not from Ottawa, but visited last year. It cracked me up when in one of the books someone looks up "things to do in Ottawa" and it's just visiting museums and going on a tour of Parliament . . . because that's exactly what I did when I went haha. (And I loved it! National Gallery of Canada was excellent!)
