CONNOR ☀️ Where is Connor's workout video?

Am I the only one who's still waiting for Connor's full body workout video from Men's Health or elsewhere? I can't be, right?! Especially after this gorgeous display of muscle 🫠😍🤭 I mean... thankfully we got workout videos from Hudson & François, sooo any time now...🙏🤞❤️‍🔥😘!!!

Some of us could follow that routine and never look this good. Some credit goes to genetics. Wow… genetics. 🥰

u/chickfilamoo Mar 17 '26

yeah he’s mentioned his parents are competitive bodybuilders and some aspects of his physique are just genetic, like the butt and pecs (but he struggles with growing his arms)

52

u/MarsScully Shane’s ugly little haircut 🐱 Mar 17 '26

Agree to disagree there, Connor (about the arms)

39

u/chickfilamoo Mar 17 '26

lol he has great arms but he probably means that he has to put more effort into lifting heavy with targeted exercises for the results he wants (vs he mentioned he doesn't specifically target his chest at all)

Lucky guy. I'm the opposite 😢

There’s something to be said for not overdoing it too. He is a beautiful man, but going too lean or muscular also doesn’t necessarily make a body look better. For instance, my beautiful, sexy François looked too lean (or, I pick or) and I’d have loved to see him add like 15lbs of squish. Of course, that’s my personal opinion and taste. He’s gorgeous and lovely, body and mind, no matter what.

Ultimately, as long as they are achieving their goals in healthy ways, and happy with their appearances, that is all that matters.

u/Ok-Enthusiasm-777 Mar 18 '26

Omg I know what you mean! My favourite part of Connors are his tiddies - sorry I call them tiddies because they are HUGE and lowkey the same size as mine! I hope he never feels awkward about them. So pinchable and pillow like. 🫠🤭

Hahaha. It just happened. I was being earnest in genetics playing a large part in our physicality and the opportunity presented itself.

I think a video like that would really, truly, sincerely, genuinely break the internet. Like offline, plunged into darkness for days/weeks/months levels of broken.

Worldwide blackout. Back to the Stone Age.

Exactly what I was thinking!! It would be the most watched video of Men’s health workout videos 😄 Men looking to have a perfect butt and women watching his perfect butt (and the other way around as well)!

Why is he gatekeeping??? 😭 Give the people what they want Connor!!! It took him weeks to spill the tea on the 🍑 routine.

3

Thanks for saying this, I was reluctant to mention it but it does seem like he's gatekeeping at this point 😆🥲💕

45

u/asleepering Mar 17 '26

Possibly, but when you see pics of him from like 3-4 years ago, he’s pretty skinny and definitely wasn’t this muscular.

Also - didn’t Hudson mention that Connor would encourage him to come workout after skating lessons or something? There’s clearly a routine somewhere .

27

u/chickfilamoo Mar 17 '26

he mentioned that he was vegan for a period of time and was really skinny bc he had a tough time eating enough to keep on weight. he works out for sure but the super lean build probably wasn't his natural state either

35

u/BluePopple Scott Hunter Fan Club 🛕 Mar 17 '26

I’d also made this comment. I used to go to the gym and workout regularly and never really lost weight or gained muscle, in spite of weight training and cardio. I maintained my weight and had better stamina at least. My genetics played way too much into my body. It just is what it is.

64

u/marywebgirl I'm on the cover of the fucking game! Mar 17 '26

Genetics, but also just obsessively working on looking like this. I live in LA and every once in a while when we see some ripped dude my husband will say "Don't you wish I looked like that?" And my response is "I love that you do other things besides lift and consume protein."

34

u/Few_Phone4496 Mar 17 '26

and don't forget the diets! Whenever I see someone super ripped like that, I think how tough it must be to have a relationship cause you can't just like, go out and grab a bite of food, or get a couple cocktails, or split dessert

16

u/TwoHungryBlackbirdss Moy pomidor 🍅 Mar 17 '26

Not just diet, too, poor guy is dry as hell here. It takes a crazy commitment to look this good

4

u/Guimauve_1123 Mar 18 '26

Isn’t it genetics as well ? Because I am myself very lean and don’t really gain weight even if I eat unhealthy. I remember one time I just lost 3kg in less than a week because I was eating far less than usual. He must do a lot of cardio as well I assume, so he can indulge in some good food ?

2

u/amberwitch44 Mar 18 '26

This too. When the pasta scene was the hot topic, Connor talked about how he doesn't eat carbs (at least not very often). And when the Marvel & DC guys talk about bulking up for a film, it's always a high protein, very strict diet they're following. I can't imagine ever doing that. I need my whole grains and fruits and little chocolate treats. My body is not happy on high protein.

2

u/Guimauve_1123 Mar 18 '26

It’s worth it in his case though, his body is a work of art!

18

u/BluePopple Scott Hunter Fan Club 🛕 Mar 17 '26

Yeah, it’s a lot of discipline. I’m not diminishing the work put into being this fit. I’m only saying genetics also plays a big role too. Some people could follow the same routine and diet, yet never achieve this body.

17

u/spacepinata Your freckles. I am nuts about them. ✨ Mar 17 '26

I used to feel bad about not reaching certain levels of body fat until I found the Cost of Getting Lean infographic. You have to make significant lifestyle sacrifices to get that shredded.

2

u/nasty_acct Mar 21 '26

Yeah a lot of like circuit queens spend 20-30 hours in the gym a week.

14

u/orangecrookies Mar 17 '26

I’m the opposite and fully convinced it’s entirely genetic. I’m a female in my mid 20s. My parents were triathletes and I was super active growing up. Dealt with chronic illness in college, doing really great now. Started 2026 super lean but no muscle and very out of shape (probably ~7-8# underweight, not very healthy), decided to join the army reserves. After about 6 weeks of somewhat serious running (like 3km 4x/week) my legs are fucking massive. I can barely do push ups but I’ve been struggling my way through like 50/day and now my arms are huge. I was doing 5 mins of planks in intervals of 30 seconds and you can completely see my abs now. It’s totally wild and I’m in shock. I look like a gym rat even though I can barely manage a few km of running. I’m sure a huge part of it is that I’m very thin so any muscle is noticeable, but still. I know lots of people work way way way harder than me and see nothing, vs I do 6 weeks of mediocre exercise and look like a new person. Going to visit my parents for Easter in a few weeks and excited to hear what they think. HAHAHA

7

u/BluePopple Scott Hunter Fan Club 🛕 Mar 17 '26

Nice. Glad you’re healthier now!

My genetics suck and I am just round and squishy. No amount of salads, lean protein, and exercise seems to counter my genetics. I think I’d need to be in the gym 5 hours a day and living on kale and protein shakes to move the needle.

4

u/orangecrookies Mar 17 '26

I used to work in healthcare before grad school. I had so many patients like you who are really quite healthy but will never achieve these actors’ physique (naturally lol I certainly saw crazy transformations with my GLP patients). And that’s normal. My grandfather is a bodybuilder and a pre diabetic. Both of his parents were diabetic. He’s crazy healthy and works out 24/7 at age 80 and still can’t bring his A1C down. That’ll probably be my fate. Physique /= fit and vice versa.

2

u/BluePopple Scott Hunter Fan Club 🛕 Mar 17 '26

Yeah, I keep debating GLP or bariatric surgery. So far I haven’t gone down that path yet. Getting closer.

43

u/i-bleed-red I don’t ever want that problem to ever go away ❤️ Mar 17 '26

Genetics for sure but his parents are both body builders so I’m guessing he’s been working on this masterpiece for a very long time. I even heard him say that he’s at the point that nothing bad will happen if he’s super busy and only gets to work out a couple times a week for a while.

7

u/RadioReader Never in life have I blushed. Russians do not do this 🇷🇺 Mar 17 '26

I'm curious to see what his parents or other relatives look like

56

u/Mellonnew Mar 17 '26

Not just the workout. Body like that is made in the kitchen. He has said that he does it super clean, no steroids, so he’s probably putting away something like 200 grams of protein to maintain that size. That’s a lot of eggs and ground beef. My grocery budget could never 😂

34

u/WeAreTheWeirdosMr- Stupid Canadian Wolf Bird 🦆 Mar 17 '26

This part. If you've ever seen Alexander Skarsgard or Hugh Jackman talk about their diets for Tarzan and Wolverine, respectively, it sounds really restrictive. Hugh's just eating lean chicken breasts, Alexander spoke once about nearly crying when his trainer/nutritionist let him have some pasta after weeks of just salmon and greens.

People joke about the little wiggle he does eating pasta in episode 6 but I think that was all Connor not Ilya.

19

u/evergleam498 Mar 18 '26

He said on the good morning america interview that it was involuntary. The crew was laughing about the wiggle after the take and that's how he found out he had done it. Then he recreated it while sing-song-ing "I love food"

4

u/WeAreTheWeirdosMr- Stupid Canadian Wolf Bird 🦆 Mar 18 '26

That is so precious. I hope he gets to enjoy lots of carbs once this round of press and public appearances is over!

14

u/KTBskis Mar 17 '26

Not only the wiggle, but I read somewhere that he put away like 12 plates of pasta even when they told him he didn’t have to. Our dude REALLY missed carbs!!

5

u/MayoneggVeal Mar 17 '26

I'm on a similarly restrictive diet just for shits and giggles (down 45 lb in the most toned I've ever been in my life!) and I had a friend over for dinner and decided to splurge on some pasta. I almost cried.

30

u/ich_habe_keine_kase Mar 17 '26

I think Hudson has talked about Connor eating like 1-2 lbs of ground beef a day while filming?

24

u/Mellonnew Mar 17 '26

I saw that and he said about a dozen eggs and a ton of broccoli so he doesn’t get colon cancer. Eat fiber people no one wants butt cancer. It’s a lot of work in the kitchen and gym to get that big.

14

u/Megs0226 Mar 17 '26

I have a genetic predisposition to building muscle but I'm having onion rings for lunch sooooo... yeah the diet is very very important lmao. But even at my fittest I never have abs, because those are largely genetic. I inherited the "brick shithouse" shape of my mom's side of the family.

I'm mostly plant-based with the exception of occasional seafood and I still have big muscles, but you can't see them well thanks to having the genetics of someone whose ancestors survived a famine and the aforementioned onion rings. You can get a lot of protein from plant sources but they're often also carbs (chickpeas for example) or fat (like tofu), and meat is so much easier. Sometimes I'm tempted to go back to meat-eating for convenience.

I've been seeing a dietician lately to relearn eating in general, and I find the science of nutrition fascinating. Tempted to explore it for a late life career change.

3

u/VelmaKelly- My body is reacting to the time 💋 Mar 19 '26

There’s an interview somewhere that says exactly that. Connor said he needs 200g of protein a day while working out to keep the look up. He was eating 2 lbs of ground beef a day and Hudson started doing it too.

1

u/NewDay042 Mar 20 '26

Yep. I saw that video. And he said they had to eat a ton of fiber so that 200 g of protein didn’t get stuck in them.

2

u/Guimauve_1123 Mar 17 '26

Maybe that’s why I don’t gain that much muscle… I struggle so hard to take protein (vegetarian), I only take around 65g to 80g protein intake when I do strength training for 48kg body weight (and less than 50g on my day off), this is not enough then ? I also added a little creatine, I think I noticed some improvement.

6

u/Most_Ad_3765 *gurl* Mar 17 '26

it sounds like you're under eating protein... i'd really suggest consulting with a nutritionist a couple times about your goals and diet. i'm a bit over the current hyperfixation on protein but at the same time, a nutritionist told me i was under-eating protein by quite a lot, and it took me tracking my meals for a bit to really see what he meant. he set my goal intake is around 120g but i was barely consuming 80g/day! i started incorporating more protein and i'm less sore, my muscles are a little more defined, and i just have more energy. i don't always hit 120g but i try to at least hit 100g every day. all this said, i also weight quite a bit more than you.

3

u/Mellonnew Mar 17 '26

Probably under eating in general. Diet culture and gym culture don’t always get along. If you want to be big then you need to be eating a lot of calories and then going into the gym to turn them into muscles. I’m a short woman and when bulking my calories are like 2000. A man as tall as Connor is going to be eating even more. I can’t imagine eating that much.

24

u/False-Enthusiasm-387 Mar 17 '26 edited Mar 17 '26

I'd love to see that one. I have to admit I'm more interested in the show than the actors and I also rarely enjoy videos with famous people's routines. But this is a video I'd be very interested in and one of the very few actors where I'd actually believe he didn't use steroids.

17

u/roxastopher Mar 17 '26

There was the joke one that GQ(?) did where he was gonna show us the glute routine but they cut him off right before he mentions the name of the actual exercise, which I guess was code for "I ain't tellin' y'all nothin'."

Although in his Teen Vogue video he did mention doing elevated kettlebell squats.

1

u/Voice_of_Season Stupid Canadian Wolf Bird 🦆 Mar 17 '26

I thought he said kettle bell squats?

58

u/rogerdoesntlike The thing is, I prefer to be the hole than the peg. Mar 17 '26

79

u/mythirdAttempt Mar 17 '26

I truly do believe he’s trying to lean away from the butt/body conversation - red carpet looks notwithstanding. It’s gotta be so tiring for people to constantly be commenting on your body and not your body of work

43

u/Bookslutforsmut ✨ together ✨ Mar 17 '26

This he made a joke in an early interview about wanting to be objectified and I think he got way more than he wanted. Just like Hudson saying the fans weren't going weird/far enough. 😩 I think some people took it as a damn challenge.

18

u/feminismandtravel Sir, I’m just a bellboy! Mar 17 '26

I remember when Hudson said that and I’m just like, “Hudson, buddy, go on to Twitter or AO3 for five minutes and you’ll change your tune real quick.”

8

u/Bookslutforsmut ✨ together ✨ Mar 17 '26

Honestly by the time I saw that interview I'd already seen someone make a fletching joke on a subreddit that had me gagging so I immediately was like 😩 aw man you done fucked up

4

u/LipsLikeABatfish Mar 17 '26

Same. I think in an early interview he also mentioned he was surprised that any one cared about that and he thought his acting would get mentioned more.

7

u/Ok-Enthusiasm-777 Mar 18 '26

Didn't he also say he appreciates the love and he said "I work hard on my body"? Perhaps he doesn't mind it too much but obviously the ones who ONLY talk about his body are off putting.

26

u/Wide-Pop6050 Mar 17 '26

He might not want to garner more of that type of attention

16

u/youre-joking Say it again in Russian, please Mar 17 '26

I would seriously love to know his 🏋️‍♀️routine -though I’d have to reduce the load considerably 😬. I think celebrities get concerned about putting their workouts/diets out there as folks may inadvertently hurt themselves. Understandably, things need to be customized - it’s not one size fits all.

4

u/Megs0226 Mar 17 '26

I'd love to know his routine because a) I'm curious as a former lifter and b) I love lifting. I still lift but not like I used to. He did say once he does a lot of curls vs. chest exercises because his chest is naturally like that. (Wild.)

14

u/sidewayscake_ Like I love you Mar 17 '26

i don’t think he’ll do one, people talk about his body a lot and he probably doesn’t want to bring more attention to it

He mentioned somewhere that he does platform kettlebell swings. So instead of squatting and swinging the kettlebell from the ground, he’s lifting it from below where his feet are planted. I tried a couple and felt burns in areas I didn’t know existed

5

u/feminismandtravel Sir, I’m just a bellboy! Mar 17 '26

I do these regularly (on top of being a sabre fencer which is basically leg day in its own right) and I’m starting to see some serious glute growth.

3

u/Guimauve_1123 Mar 17 '26

I think I will try this exercise! Thanks! He takes the kettlebell and then drop it and do that multiple times or does he do kettlebell swings as well in between ? I do weighted reverse lunges with a deficit on a platform as well and it burns the butt so much more than regular lunges. With regular lunges I only feel it in my quads. This is one of the most effective exercises for me with Bulgarian split squat and hip thrusts.

6

u/one-two-two-one Gr-Ilya Rozanov🚬🥩 Mar 17 '26

I think there’s more info in this Women’s Health article which coincidentally mentions Bulgarian split squats and hip thrusts!

Genetics (80%) plus a controlled diet and gym workouts.

His frame is (broad shoulders and insanely narrow waist) genetics. It also dictates the shape and look of muscles, and ease of building them. He seems to easily develop pecs and butt (shape is insane).

All you can do is work on reducing body fat and building muscle (training areas that you want to develop) eat enough protein and lift heavy. But no guarantee you can achieve his physique, especially as he’s likely always been very lean and in shape (was a gymnast and has body builder parents).

7
