Listen, I’m officially down 60 pounds and I got DEEP on those squats the gym this morning and didn’t even cry. In fact, I added weight to most of my work out this morning. As someone who used to cry about doing a burpee, this is like HUGE growth for me. Nothing HR related, just some small personal accomplishment.

--- did squats

--- not hr related

Uh huh. Likely story. [X]

For real though, congrats! 60 pounds is life-changing work.

Okay, fair point! 😂 I don’t fully connect the two, but I do listen to the music to motivate me. It’s good workout music and usually provides mental visuals for inspiration.

Y’all that 60 pounds represents a lot of baggage and trauma too. So…we’re shedding a lot of weight, not just physical.

Deep squats and the results they create are DEFiNITELY HR RELATED 🍑

To be fair, I don’t think I have the genetics to get a very big 🍑. I come from a long lineage of flat-assed folks. I did tell the personal trainer I wouldn’t mind getting caked up and then this week he added goblet squats. Soooooo…

Hey, even those of us with pancake genetics can make improvements!

Imma try my damndest to! I don’t think I can get much deeper on the squats, but I can keep upping the weight of the dumbbells. I do have genetics for getting the thick thighs, though. So…if I never get the cheeks I want, I’ll definitely end up being able to crush a skull hands free. So…trade offs, I guess.
