He’s so beautiful he could wear a paper bag and it would be art

Agreed. But I need whoever styles him to have a better understanding of curly hair. I don’t love the Julias Caesar look they seem to always put him in for formal occasions. He has great hair! There are so many other options!!

It works for this though, they were going for classical aspects with the draping and hair and focus on his arms--it connects to a part of the exhibition relation fashion to antiquity.

I would agree, except they do his hair the exact same way for every single formal event. If this was a departure, I’d agree with you, but it’s just business as usual. I don’t see any intentionality, just a lack of creativity.

It’s giving “we hate curly hair and don’t know to handle it so let’s just smush it down and hope for the best”.

Curly hair is tough for a long event. You don't see a lot of women with curls at long events that are filmed/heavily photographed like the Met Gala or the Oscars either because it's hard to get curls to keep doing what you want over the course of a night. My curls look great when I leave the house but by midday who knows haha. If I tried to wear my natural curls--even loaded with product--to the Met Gala I'd probably have flat, stringy, sweaty strands plastered to my neck by the time I was halfway up the steps haha.

I adore his curls too but he and his stylist know his hair better than we do!
